Except for a musty smell in our room, the hotel was very nice. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

The hotel was great. All of ythe people were very friendly. It was great.

Awesome location great breakfast, shuttle to the theme park and huge clean rooms. I will stay here again!

The bathroom is much too small. My son is on crutches and had trouble closing the bathroom door. I had the same problem, as well, as I have arthritis in my hips and will probably not return. The double beds are too small. I have to have at least a queen size bed.

My wife and I have stayed at Hyatt Place's before. They are pretty much cookie cutter in design. This one, at least our room had one oddity, in order to enter the bathroom and shut the door you either had to strattle the toilet or go into the shower to close the door. Great location and nice rooms. The pool was small and there wasn't a hot tub which would have been nice after a long day of walking at the park. Staff was helpful in calling a cab but unable to help with the fact one of our party is allergic to feathers and the pillows and comforter were feathers. Nice room for what we needed. Unfortunately one of the people in my party is allergic to feathers and the pillows and bedding had feathers. They were unable to swap them out so it made for an uncomfortable night/next day for her. Close to Universal. Clean. Nice free breakfast.

Best hotel I have ever stayed at. The free breakfast was such a money and time saver, not forgetting that everything taste so good. I love this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

it was my first time for me and my boyfriend to stay at the hyatt it was amazing clean as ever just the smell walking in blew my mind i would live there if i could rooms were amazing as well they have the best customer service ever and very friendly staff. i look forward to going back.

We had one extra night to stay in Orlando, and so we booked a room at this Hyatt Place. We've stayed at other Hyatt Place hotels and this one was almost exactly like the others. Apart from a very must smell in the room (typical for humid Florida) everything here was great. Our kids loved the breakfast spread as well. This is a great value for Orlando […] - close to a premium outlet mall, Universal Studios and Disney. We'd stay here again. Mehr

This is a very nice hotel. We stayed first week in January 2012. Rooms were very clean and nice sized. We had two adults and four children. The suite had two beds and a pull out sofa. The beds were real firm, so the second night I slept on the soft bed, it was a lot better. The breakfast was good for a free breakfast; fresh fruit, cereals, toast, beagles, […] pancakes, doughnuts, milk, juice, and a few other things. If you don’t like any of that they had hot items you could order at coast. Lobby was kind of small, but we did not have any problems finding a place to sit and eat. It is really close to Universal, as well as many restaurants and shopping centers. They also have a bus that will take you to Universal; however, it is better to get a cab to take you back. The bus picks up at night about an hour and a half before the park closes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to go to Universal. Mehr

Such a great deal!! Very close to Universal! Free Wifi for the entire hotel, free continental breakfast, we also booked a double room and got the free upgrade to king. They give you a nice tour of the main lobby area and information for theme park transportation. It is an average hotel. Close to Universal. The mattress was average, nothing plush. The refrigerator was so loud we had to shut it off. The layout of the room is not convenient. The toilet was put on a slight angle so that the door would close. The sink is right across from the beds so you wake the others trying to sleep. I always enjoy staying at a Hyatt Place. They are very consistent and the room is always comfortable. I love the big TV and x-large sofa. This location was great and was on top of Universal. Safe area with many restaurants/shops within a few miles. I would stay here again.

This was a great place to stay for going to Universal Studios. We missed the free shuttle in the morning, but took a cheap cab ride. We rode the free hotel shuttle back. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. The only complaint is that there was no order - just chaos - at the free breakfast area, exacerbated by the lack of manners exhibited by […] the majority of the guests. I think the hotel would do well to re-think their set-up, perhaps reconfiguring the food/beverage layout or trying to put up something to force people to form a line versus a free-for-all. Our family enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were in town to visit Universal and it could not be more convenient. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to Universal. We arrived before check in time and they allowed us to check in early. The room was modern and clean. We stayed here for couple of nights while visiting Orlando Universal Studios-the hotel was clean and the people were very friendly. There is a shuttle for Universal twice to and from. There is also a free breakfast- not great but it is free. There was cleaning chemical smell but that could have been fresh paint or something. Nice hotel, conveniently located at intersection of I-4 and Florida Turnpike, right across from Universal. Very clean, soft colors, wonderful staff. Free parking, WI-FI. Only thing I didn't like was that the breakfast area was way too small and the variety of food was not very good. Also when we were there only one elevator was working...the other was […] being remodeled and this was the week prior to Xmas which was very bad timing in my opinion. Clean. Friendly staff. Spacious Room. You can walk to Universal to save parking fees. Free breakfast. So when comparing prices, factor this into the value.

Overall is good. But, would like to have carpet be vacuum once every two or three days. In orde to keep the room clean. May be this is not part of housing keeper's routine work of making up a room every morning. But, it will make a big differenent to customers. Thank you for your consideration. Have a nice day.

We enjoyed our two night stay at Hyatt Place Orlando/Universal the week after Thanksgiving. The staff were very pleasant and happy to assist us when we had questions and needed to store our luggage. Universal Studios was just a 20 minute walk from the hotel which turned out to be a good thing given the limited shuttle service to Universal Studios.

The hotel was great, except that - Hotels.com stated that ALL rooms had queen size pull out sofas that slept 6 people. The pull out sofa was barely twin sized. Only some rooms have queen sized ones and the hotel would not switch us, nor did they have cots available. I will now call each hotel specifically before I make a reservation with Hotels.com […] to make sure info is accurate before booking. Mehr

Great place. Very roomy for a family of 5. I highly recommended. Free breakfast is always a plus as we have no time to waste going out of our way.

Free shuttle to Universal Orlando and a great place to spend the night. Easy access, restaurants nearby, friendly helpful staff, and a healthy breakfast each morning.

I think I expected more when I booked with the Hyatt. The staff was very friendly the whole three nights we were there.But the hotel was just laid out weird. The lobby doubled as the breakfast eating area. The lobby was very small and it was hard to conduct any business at the very small desk while breakfast was going on. People were tripping over each […] other. The room was laid out weird also. There really wasn't any private dressing area. The bathroom was VERY small. The room it self had a sofa but the lay out of the room was off. The staff was very nice. Although it is right across the street from Universal it is quite a walk through the parking area, but you could do it. We did not use the hotel shuttle. I would recommend this for a young couple but it might not be the best choice for a family. I would not book this particular hotel again because there are so many other options. Out door pool could not be used because of the cool weather, not the hotel's fault. Ther is a TGI Fridays within walking distance. Mehr

The hotel staff was wonderful, the hotel clean and comfortable. Right outside of the universal gates.

I was looking for an off-property hotel with shuttle service to Universal and while this one has it, it was more convenient to walk to Universal Studios and City Walk. Staff there was very nice and helpful.

Visiting Universal Studios for 3 days where after researching several hotels in the surrounding area over and over (Hilton/Doubletree & Holiday Inn next door) couldn't have been more pleased with this location. Traveled with wife and 8yr old and 10yr old and the hotel was very modern, clean, well kept, and pretty roomy with 2 double beds and a sleeper […] sofa in the room. The other 2 hotels I mentioned are more massive in size and cost a lot more where Hyatt Place seems more low key and relaxing. This hotel is a great price, continental breakfast is decent, free Wi-Fi & Parking, and they offer a free shuttle to Universal Studios with 2 pick up times each way. Staff was very curteous and even authorized a late checkout without hesitation. Would definitely recommend staying here where we plan on doing so for future visits. Mehr

Was not very happy when we first checked in. I had reserved a King suite and they attempted to put my husband and I in a 2-double bed room. They finally did locate an available King room and everything was great after that. The room was comfortable and clean. Also very quiet. There was a little construction going on during our stay but we were never […] bothered by any noise. The biggest plus is that it is walking distance to Universal Studios and all restaurants. There is also a Walgreens close by that you can walk to (in case you forget your toothbrush). Mehr
