The hotel location is pretty good but the hotel conditions are bad.

Would NOT recommend this htel at all!. Bugs in bed & we were bitten all over our bodies! Spoke w/front desk, nothing done! Breakfast ok, but not great-no food on days we stayed, only bar. Definitely will NOT stay there again.

Stayed here for two nights. We had booked two non-smoking rooms but ended up with two smoking rooms for the first night. The hotel was overbooked and there were no alternatives for us. The staff was nice and moved us to non-smoking rooms the following day. Room 161, is worse than a closet and should be either renovated or taken out of service. Pricey during the air show. Breakfast starts at 6, but no eggs till 7, and they were cold. But the fresh strawberries and blueberries were first rate! Rooms were okay but tired -- grout needed to be cleaned, etc.

Brought our dog and the courtyard had a nice clean grassy area. We were able to walk to shopping and get to restaurants also. The lounge at the Hotel had good food and entertainment. Clean rooms and good pricing, how can it get better than that in today's market. I'd stay there again.

The entire staff was customer service friendly. One of the house keepers (Snow) was great. I would be most happy to book there in the future..

The problem was the baby screaming the entire night. We did not get a minute a sleep and ended up leaving early as we were going to be awake anyways. I realize this was not the hotel's fault but is was the worse nights 'sleep' I have ever had.

Rooms need to be revamped. Bathrooms especially where caulking needs to be neater. Didn't like the tile floors and when I first walked in the cleaning fluids about knocked me over. Liked the pillows.

The room could have been cleaner than it was,They need and upgrade.The internet shows a workout facility but the Hotel dosnt have it...#false advertisement.I will NEVER stay at this Hotel again.

The Howard Johnson at Lakeland, FL. was very comfortable. The ease of location was great. The staff was great. They're remodeling and look forward to seeing the changes next year.

Compared to previous fair, this hotel was actually quite well appointed and fairly comfortable. I didn't care all that much for the neighborhood, but we were close to several places to eat, and it was situated exactly where we needed it, so in those points it was excellent. We did spend one sick day there, illness we brought from Nebraska, unfortunately, […] and the room was comfortable, the television and Wi-Fi readily accessible. The bathroom door, however, was very hard to close, the upper hinge having come loose before we checked in. However, with the size of the restroom, with the comfort of the room, in general, with the swimming pool being in close proximity and comfortable, we weathered the sick day very well, I became more comfortable with my surroundings, and actually came to like winter Florida very well. The front desk staff, at all times, showed the utmost professionalism, made me feel comfortable and welcome, and helped my family and I without pretense or attitude. Information concerning the local area, and the television lounge in front, made the place feel more like home than a hotel. The dining room -for the morning continental breakfast- was clean, well-appointed, sufficiently large, and the food was very well-done and laid out nicely on clean surfaces. Mehr

The hotel was in a questionable.location and there were people out in the halls yelling and drinking until the wee hours of the morning

The rooms were fine and clean, The air conditioner worked very well. Accommodations very good. The price was exceptional. However, we were expecting a nice breakfast. The preowner, Best Western, had a hot breakfast. All that we had was a few slices of bread and waffles, which was shortly out of batter after we got them. The orange juice was gone, only […] milk was in small cartons. No bagels or muffins or fruit, etc. We ate out the second day. Mehr

Exellent attitude all of the hotels employees, Assistant Manager, every one making you care all of your needs. The Bathroom, toilets needs upgrade. But I gave them 5 stars. I am very please with the service! Thanks

The front desk help along with the Bar manager were very nice, did their best to help. What they were not able to control was the lack of insulation in the rooms, meaning you heard dogs barking, someone coughing all night, dirty older coffepot, Loud guest standing outside my window at 6:30am smoking and talking, seeing day light through the door, which […] let smoke in the room from the ill mannered guest. Should you go up for the continential breakfast beware, the morning I was there there was a company next door and the music was so LOUD I left with my coffee and returned to my room. If you want to get any sleep suggest to find another hotel. All in All this was a trip to advise people who work for me if this hotel is where they want to stay on their weekends off....I would say No, not until management makes changes in the room insulation and to have a reason to go to the lounge, other than having a drink. Nothing special but safe clean and a nice nights sleep. Old fashion decor but cozy enough. For the price I was very pleased.

the a.c. units need overhauling, the t.v. service was ridicoulous, and the beds are very hard.

The room had no cable only afew channel's like MTV, ESPN. Ant's on the sink, saw a big roach or water bug, no vent in bathroom. The room was clean. Stay two day's.

This hotel was a great value for the price, I would stay here again. The hotel was being renovated but this in no way interfered with my stay. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The hotel was under renovation when we checked in but the service was great and our stay was a pleasant one. Friendly staff especially in the dining room.
