The Dupont Circle Hotel - Washington

Wir waren als Familie (2 Erw., 2 Kinder) in einem großen Doppelzimmer mit zwei franz. Betten untergebracht. War zwar ein bißchen eng, aber es ging gut. Das Zimmer war sehr stylisch und modern eingerichtet. Das Bad war zum Zimmer hin offen und mit einer Glastür zur Toilette und Glaswand zur schönen Dusche hin abgetrennt. Leider waren wir nur im 3. Stock, […] wo man den Straßenverkehr doch ziemlich hört. Die Fenster sind wohl nicht schalldicht. Weiter oben ist es bestimmt besser. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert super, man konnte sie nachts auch runterstellen, damit sie nicht so laut bläst. Die Rezeption ist sehr freundlich und hilft wo sie kann. Die Hotelllage ist exzellent. Die U-Bahn ist ganz in der Nähe und Restaurants gibt es auch genügend. Das hoteleigene Restaurant ist jedoch extrem teuer. Zum Frühstücken sind wir auswärts ausgewichen, z.B. zu Starbucks gegenüber. Zum Weißen Haus kann man in ca. 15 Minuten laufen. Auch Georgetown ist gut zu erreichen (Bus 10 Minuten, Haltestelle in der Nähe). Also alles rundum gut!! Mehr

Liegt in einer guten Gegend und die Metro ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Man ist von dort ganz schnell bei den wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und dem Museumsviertel. Auch die Bar und das Restaurant ist sehr ansprechend und man konnte dort sehr schön sitzen.

Very happy with all aspects of the hotel. Close to Metro, many great restaurants, Cathedral, National Geographic museum. Yes, the bathroom was tight but it reminded us of our stay in Spain, so we were OK with it. Clean and bright room though wooden shutters were drab. Roomy enough, clean, nice window view, good food at the restaurant, and great location right on Dupont Circle within walking to shops and great restaurants.

I really like this hotel. My only complaint is that the restaurant was understaffed at breakfast, which meant I didn't have time to finish my meal before having to leave for a meeting.

very happy other then room size

Great hotel. But standard room is quite small for 2 people.

Unfortunately ,I took ill in the middle of the night during my stay.The hotel staff gave me the phone numbet of a doctor, brought bottles of water to my room, and made sure security stayed with me until I could be taken to the hospital. They even called my husband long distance to tell him what was happening. Fortunately, all ended well and I returned […] to the hotel in the morning. I could not have asked for more. Mehr

Rooms are clean and enjoyed the stay. But having breakfast at the hotel would have saved a lot of our time. Why are you not serving free continental breakfast?

Nice hotel. i would stay there again

all good except the privacy in your bathroom. Even if you share the room with your family it would be nice to have a real door in the bathroom

The hotel is in a perfect location right on Dupont Circle. The staff were very nice and the rooms were comfortable. A few things to improve upon: 1) Curtains in addition to blinds would help with sunlight in the early morning. The Dupont Circle Hotel doesn't look very distinguished from the outside, but the rooms on the inside are very elegant and stylishly decorated – at least ours was. Nice, clean room, good service. Located in a trendy neighborhood, with small restaurants and shops. I’m a light sleeper and found it noisy when trying to get some sleep at night – especially […] when the jack-hammers came out at 3:00am on our second night. It’s in a high traffic area, so expect lots of truck noise and car beeps. Our room was a corner unit with lots of windows and great natural light coming through the very stylish plantation shutters (my wife really loved them). Perhaps that contributed to the noise factor. The bathroom was very clean and stylish but, according to my wife, could have used better lighting so she could apply her “war paint” and take care of her skin care rituals. We also found the shower/toilet arrangement a little peculiar: There was a full glass door that separated the shower/toilet area from the sink area, but only a half glass panel that separated the shower stall and the toilet. When we took a shower, the water splashed all over the toilet area pretty much soaking everything in there. We felt bad for the cleaning crew more than anything else. Conveniently located near the Red Line on the Metro, getting to the sites is quick and easy. Or, if you like to walk like my wife and I, It’s a pleasant walk from the hotel to the heart of all of the sites. As I mentioned, the neighborhood around the hotel is trendy with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. There was a great bakery right across the street (not the Starbucks) that was my go-to spot to fetch some good coffee and great breakfast treats to bring back to the room (get up early if you want cinnamon buns, they go fast). Their lounge was always hopping and seemed to have a nice festive atmosphere every time we passed it. I recently shared a double room at the DuPont Circle Hotel, and we both agreed that the design of the room focused too much on bathroom space and not enough on room space. The shower and toilet were right next to each other, which made privacy impossible. The walking space in the bedroom could have been increased by 6 inches less of bathroom! It is […] a very nice neighborhood, but there is a bar/restaurant in the hotel, and our 2nd floor room was within earshot of Friday and Saturday night party-ers. Also, altho' there was complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, there was no way to get a light morning bite without sitting in the restaurant. Some of us like to take a muffin or roll back to the room! That said, the staff were very friendly, pleasant and welcoming. We had a great concierge when we checked in who discussed dining options around town. My advice: if you like to have a bite in your room without paying for room service or going down the block to the bakery, some granola bars in your bag, and get your free beverage in the lobby! Mehr

Very near Metro stop Dupont Circle on Red Line. Lovely restaurants nearby. Rooms clean with most amneties available. Would definitely come back when visiting DC.

The hotel and neighborhood are quite nice and close to the metro. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathroom has very little privacy so make sure you are close to those with whom you are rooming. A few complaints - our room was not ready until 30 minutes after the posted check-in time. The second time we had to call down we had to call twice and the man at the front desk was rude about the request. I would stay here again and recommend it for the right nightly price. Mehr

Our family recently took a last minute trip to D.C. and booked our stay at the Dupont CIrcle. We loved the hotel and had a wonderful stay. Our room was a handicapped accessible room which gave us plenty of room for our family of four. The location is very close to the metro station so you can take the metro to & from Reagan International. Lots of dining […] options within walking distance. It was lovely to return from a long day of sightseeing to a clean, modern and comfortable room. Our kids are ages 10 & 13 and they loved it! Highly recommend! Mehr

The Hotel is in a very nice area of town and is located walking distance from many shops and restaurants. We did not care for the quality of the pillows in the hotel, as we thought a nice hotel would have better pillows. The heated floors in the restroom area and sink was a nice added touch. For the price, this was a great value for a business hotel. The staff were very friendly, no hitches at all. The decor is clean and simple. The room was spacious, bed very comfortable, nice flat panel, great bathroom and shower. There was no noise from the outside, but could have been a bit better insulated from noise in other rooms and hallway. Free […] wifi worked everywhere in the hotel, with no password needed. The business center isn't much, just two computers and a printer, but it is also free. Downside is that the printer jammed and there was nobody handy to help. I staid in the hotel many times and usually everything perfect this time was something wrong first I booked grand king room and room coming with bath rob nothing like that , I called the front disk she told me yes it is grand king so I gave here other room number( I staid in that room style many time which is much bigger and also they call it grand […] king ) she said it is not available and the bath rob and the room size was not big deal but the problem was the toilet not clean !!!i though I should call then re-think about it they will though I great that base on my previous call with front disk and also the toilette was not fixed Mehr

This hotel may not be much of a looker from the outside but the room was very nice. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom had heated floors (I don't know why I'm so amazed by this but I am). I didn't try the bar or restaurant but both seemed nice. My one gripe was that the bathroom was very "open." Meaning that the sink was half concealed by frosted […] glass but otherwise open to the rest of the room. The door to the toilet and the shower was behind another frosted glass door. Which means if you are sharing the room with someone else it doesn't give you much privacy while doing your *ahem* business. The bathroom itself was super nice though. Overall I enjoyed my stay! The doormen were extremely polite and very friendly. The front desk was very kind when we checked in and asked stupid questions. The hotel room was very well decorated, comfortable, although our floor heater didn't work in the bathroom... but we didn't really know why it was necessary so we didn't really care. We were so happy with our stay at the Dupont Circle Hotel. Our room was wonderful, completely updated and accommodated our family of 4. We requested a rollaway bed since our 2 teenagers were with us and although at checkin we were told the room wasn't large enough, they quickly changed our room to another to accommodate us. Hotel is clean. Concierge very helpful. Close to metro so easy to get to museums, etc. We were walking back from dinner about at 9:30. Never felt in danger. It is a nice area. Many restaurants and boutiques within walking distance.

This was a first time visit to DuPont Circle area. The hotel was just about as good as it can get. We had a great view of the circle. We were three short (very short) blocks from the METRO which gave us fast access to the rest of DC. The hotel cafe competed well with the surrounding restaurants. This hotel is a modern, quality hotel with an outstanding location and very considerate and helpful staff. What a hip hotel! I truly enjoyed staying here, the hotel was sleek and modern. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Can't beat the location close to the Metro and Adams Morgan neighborhood. It is impressive, the customer service you receive from the time you pull up to the front doors. The room was excellent. Level One Restaurant was good. Our server was having a rough night but still managed to give impeccable service!
