I was not expecting to stay at a hotel, very affordable. I was not expecting it to be so clean & very nice . I would recommend it to friends & family..

There was nothing special about this hotel. Everything was clean (thankfully considering the other reviews I read). There was security which consisted of 2 guys running around with badges and guns; that was semi-comforting. The water took a while to get hot in the shower, but once it was hot it stayed hot. The website said to call about amenities such as a refridgerator. When I called I was told to call back, when I did I was told it was to late. The rooms were not maintained at all, there were also bugs in the rooms. We went to the lobby for ice and were directed to the machine, which didn't work. Not a good stay at all.

Not in the least fancy but quite adequate for the small price paid for it.

Inexpensive, but right next to the railroad tracks. BYOB- Buy your own Breakfast, trust me!

At 4:30 AM I got up to pee and heard a party next door. The noise was so loud I couldn't get back to sleep so I called the front desk and there was no answer so i got dressed and knocked on their door #119. The man that answered was offended that I knocked on their door and asked for my name. I called Hotels.com and asked for advice. There was nobody […] down there. There was an emergency phone number and a room # 108 so I called first but no answer. I also asked Hotels.com to please see if they had an emergency telephone number but do not know if Hotels.com tried to call. Then went to room 108 and the manager answered the door. I told him the problem and he said he would take care of the problem. He did not. Finally around 6:30 AM the last person left the party. I had to gt up at 7:00. How could Hotels.com call this a 2 1/2 star hotel with nobody at the front desk and nobody answering the emergency phone? Mehr

we had to book a hotel at the last minute before leaving fo Tuscon for a family emergency. This was the cheepest available. We usually check reviews before booking for this exact reason! when walking in, you could tell the hotel was in disarray. we opened the door to the room and a roch ren accross the room into the bathroom. we found 6 different items […] from previous customers under the beds, behind curtains and in drawers. when throwing trash away, the bag fell in and the can had a red tomato looking substance all over the inside. there was a crushed fortune cookie up against the wall under the desk and the carpet was severely stained and just plain dirty looking. Worst motel in a really bad section of town. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Bathrooms in lobby were disgusting.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend it to my friends and family. The only down side was that it was a non smoking hotel. But,other than that, I don't have any other complaints.

If we had not already paid we would not have stayed. Dirty, drab, pluming hanging out of the wall, breakfast very poor. Worst place we have ever stayed at. Grossly over priced for the quality.

This hotel excuse me Motel was similar to 1408 except it wasn't haunted. The room smelled stale, the bathroom was rusty looking (wear your shower shoes) and the carpet was dirty!!! The pics are very misleading I would not recommend this Motel to my worst enemy.

When we got to the motel, the desk person copied our ID cards because they said that it was the city requirements. After seeing the room, we found the desk drawer full of trash and a hand rolled cigarette. That night the room next to us the people had a party at 2 AM that was very loud. Would we stay again, no way.

Had to change rooms because the first room was filthy. Pillows falling apart, beds majorly stained, sheets had holes, bathroom disgusting. Second room WORSE! Refrigerator smelled like someone died in it, floor was sticky, garbage shoved and left under bed. GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS. Pros: (1) People at the reception desk were polite and helpful; (2) Close to university and major event venues & surrounding area was fairly clean. Cons: (1) The key card machine was down, meaning that person at front desk had to walk me to my room to gain access into room; I had to cancel plans b/c I had to be in my room my midnight because I would […] otherwise have no access to my room because no one would be present at the front desk between midnight and 6:00 a.m.; (2) The carpet in the room was dirty; (3) The bathroom towels were folded neatly, but when I opened them, I was shocked to find black smudge marks and yellow-colored stains on them; (4) I heard a small dog in a room near me; (5) An electrical outlet in the room was loose and came out of the wall when I attempted to disconnect the digital clock radio (which made a ticking sound that bothered me). Overall, the staff was very nice (e.g., the front desk person offered to wake up after midnight [after hours] to let me into the hotel because the key card machine was down), however, I was shocked at the condition of the hotel once inside because it looks well maintained from the outside. When I arrived the hotel looked gloomy. The desk clerk was sniffling and sneezing with a cold. She shouldn't have been working that day. She could not find a pen to fill out the hotel form. I asked her if the guest rooms had pens and she said, "No." I had to fill out the form and sign it with a pencil. The halls looked like they haven't been vacuumed […] in a month. The room was non-smoking and did not smell like smoke but there were cigarette butts on the balcony floor. Two of the lights of the lights in the room didn't work. This is not a three star hotel even though when I purchased room it said three star. It is a 1 1/2- 2 star tops. Very disappointed. Mehr

First room issued actually stunk, possibly deodorizers covering up something we do not want to know about. Second room issued was not that bad, but it could have been cleaned better, the coffee maker was disgusting. The area around the hotel was quiet. Hotel was not far from I-10. The pictures look much better than the actual hotel. Ou room door had to be slammed to shut all the way. The door to the outside patio was barred shut. The room was tidy but it did look like construction was never really finished in the bathroom. There were people living at the hotel and the surrounding neighborhood was sketchy. I asked for a few more […] towel and I was told they were short and could only give me one more. Never been to a motel or hotel that ran out of towel. This is a very cost effective hotel to stay at if all you need is a place to crash, and easy access to the freeway, but it's not a very nice place. My bed linens were stained and had what looked like blood on the sheets. I slept in a sleeping bag on top of the bed! The "safety" locks on the outside doors didn't work so anyone could get in.

Kinda gross but it did the trick. Cheap and we just pretty much slept there... Not the best area but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. If you need something cheap stay here..

I booked this hotel because it advertises a 2.5 star. NOt sure what makes a hotel 2.5 but I've been to a few 2.5 stars and have been satisfied. Coffee in the room was 2 decaf and one reg. Asked for more reg and had to come down to get it. NExt day no reg supplied in the room. NOt a great area of town. The continental breakfast was not well maintained. […] Grinds in the coffee. No ambience. Owner sat in cluttered office with his door open in the lobby. If you were in the lobby, you had to listen to his shop talk. Nothing fancy about the room. Older hotel. No elevator. I slept well, however, my travel companion did not. Suggest bring ear plugs for a good nights sleep. Check in and out was very smooth and quick.

The roomwasn't clean when we arrived. Only one day the maid cleaned the room, but it wasn't that clean, the table was stilldirty. The A/C didn't work properly. The wireless didn't workon the room and also on the lobby. Awful stay, good thing we only stayed there for sleeping, the rest of the day outside on the city

The lobby is being remodeled, and the rooms NEED remodeling. The TV in the room did not work, the Fridge had to be tipped back to open the door, beds were showing their age as well. Check-in was fine, checkout was OK as well.

This is a very old hotel. It's not being maintained well. Very bad smell of humidity in the rooms in the middle of a desert! That was interesting.

This hotel is going through some renovations so some of the difficulties we experienced may be a direct result of this situation. Employees seemed to be unhappy and therefore not very friendly. Hope they get their renovations completed soon and this may help improve their demeanor. Unfortunately this hotel is a little rough at the moment. We were told there was a change in management. The previous manager had let a lot of stuff go and until the things are remedied it is difficult to recommend staying here.

Of a 10 day, 10 hotel stay in Arizon, this was the worst hotel. When we checked in the AC in our room did not work so after telling us they were booked up they switched us to a room in the far back building where they rooms had not been used in some time. It took 12 hours for the room to cool down enough to sleep (by then we checked out). The window […] and the wall had bukket holes in them. There was only one towel for 4 people, no other very simple amenities and it was very sppoky being the only room used in a seperate building of the hotel. Will never stay here again. Mehr

My mom always told me to open with something nice, so here goes: the pool area was really nice. We spent a lot of time there since our room was so unbearably hot (see below). Now here are some of the many reasons we won't be recommending this hotel to anyone: (1) bad part of town (2 strip clubs in 2 block radius, no food other than fast food in 5mile […] radius), (2) seriously underpowered air conditioning (at full power labored to reach 80, a dealbreaker in a hot state like AZ!), (3) seriously underpowered wireless internet - it's free, but signal so weak it never gets stronger than 1bar, when you get a signal at all, (4) maid left our door open after cleaning the room, which we didn't discover until 7hrs later (!), (5) pitiful "continental breakfast" - including a pitcher of milk so small it didn't hold enough milk for two bowls of cereal, even though cereal & toast were the only foods offered, (6) sloppy cleaning/maintenance - soiled, wrinkled tableclothes, holes/gum in rugs, serious overreliance on plastic flowers, etc. Employees seemed nice but used to apologizing to people. They let us try several rooms but they were all bad. Admit I'm a little dubious of the many "anonymous" 5 ratings ... don't see how anyone staying at this hotel could possible give it better than a 2! Mehr

I realize that it isn't the ritz but come on out the 4 nights I stayed there my room was made up once. There is no insulation between rooms so you hear EVERYTHING! They also advertised they had HBO and when I got there my room had an HBO guide and everything but they DID NOT have the channel for weeks at this point. For the money, not a bad deal. Old hotel, so don't expect newer ammenities. No wifi. No fridge/micro in room. Staff at desk was very friendly, accommodating for placing us in a quiet section. Breakfast was nothing nutritious. Neighborhood was a little "rough" looking. A few dollars more could get a newer facility nearby.

Friendly staff, but the lobby and hallways were not air-conditioned, smelled funny and low-quality. Wireless access unavailable, too.

The price was good, but the hotel was not. Room and bathroom were dirty. Was very nervous about bed bugs, but didn't notice any. Shower was cold both late and early. The longterm guests were a bit loud and made the stay a bit uncomfortable.

what did NOT work,,,, toilet, air conditionar in room sporadic, electrical outlets... lightbulbs., smoke filled halls.. ICE machine,,, very poor tv reception, less than desireables in the area, room in an entirely different structure building. Positives: pool area was reasonable, but then chlorine kills anything. The staff, although minimal, was helpful. I recommend this hotel for a short stay. There are practically no amenities. Therefore, if all you need is a place to sleep, then you'll be fine. The bathroom and furniture were clean. The carpet gave the appearance of being cleaned but with no attention to detail. My balcony door closed with a metal bar. I checked in for only one night, but this hotel was scary. The staff was friendly enough, and there was no issue with getting my room. I don't recall other hotels that I stay at photocopying my credit card. I mean I've had them copy my drivers license, no issue there, I just hope they shred the paperwork with my credit card info on it. The room was […] dirty, chewing gum stuck in the carpet, I found trash behind the TV when I plugged in my laptop. The sliding glass door was unable to be locked, but there was a security bar that could be used to keep the door shut. I also had to take a luke warm, at best, shower that night. It is in a good location to get central, downtown or to Tucson Mall, but the neighborhood is not the best. The price was cheap, but I would not stay there again. Mehr

this hotel is old but it was nice room was clean staff friendly and helpful i would use this hotel over any of the other hotels in this area all of the other we were driving by looked so so bad i was happy we found this place thank you god for look out for me at the last minute.

Pretty shabby...definitely does not deserve 2 1/2 star rating. Crummy breakfast of a few muffins...no yogurt/ bananas. We had to ask for toilet paper. The staff was very nice, but everything else was dark and dinghy.

We were a little concerned when we read a review saying the hotel lobby was closed at 10 pm and we werent going to get in until midnight. I called the hotel three times on our way down there and never received a phone call back so we didnt know if we had a place to stay that night or not, but when we got there the hotel lobby was still open, A phone […] call back would have been appreciated since i left three messages so we didnt worry the whole drive down there, We had issues with noisey neighbors and when we told management about it after two nights of sleep they took care of it right away, which we appreciated. For the price and a place to lay your head at night it was fine. Mehr
