Although the location was well suited to my needs at the time and the staff was courteous and attentive, the daily construction noise over my room from 8am to 5pm was greatly disturbing. For that reason, I would not recommend a stay until the renovation of the Primrose Hotel is complete. Grade for staff was A+ though.

My experience with the staff was very pleasant. They all seem well informed and willing to answer all of my questions. The room was clean though looking a bit tired. The plumbing, on the other hand was very tired. It took the better part of ten minutes adjusting the bath tub taps to get anything more than a trickle of water. When the maximum amount […] of water flow was established I was able to take a weak shower. It was at that point that I discovered that the water would not shut off. That was another fifteen minutes of adjusting the taps with minimum success. I would recommend this hotel to others on a price/location basis. This hotel is in the heart of Downtown Toronto. Walking distance to EVERYTHING!! I give location a 5 star rating! The parkig garage wass kind of small, but not a problem getting in and out if you know how to drive. Extremely safe! Of course the $23 a day parking was a little crazy, but good luck finding free parking anywhere around there. Overall the […] room was comfortable, LG tvs, great views. My only downside of this hotel was the Elevators. 23 floor hotel and we ended up getting placed on the 22nd floor. The elevator averaged about 6-7 stops going from our floor down to the lobby. Wasn't used to that! Elevators were tiny to, so most the time the elevator stopped there was no more room for anyone else. The staff at the hotel was Excellent! Just ask to be on one of the lower floors and im sure your stay will be just as excellent as mine was. Priced great to. Mehr

Staff rude, room sux, parking under ground can mess up your car. Please stay some where else. You have been warned

Staff were very courtious and helpful in helping us find a room that was adjoining for my Father and Sister and I while our Mother was in the hospital. Room was clean and very comfortable, bedding was nicer that at home. Only down fall was the dreaded parking garage underground. Too steep of ramps and turning corners were very very tight. It is a nice hotel with pleasant staff and clean room. The only downside is the drive way of its underground parking is a challenge to driver's skill.

In town down Toronto close to everything , service was okay overall two night stay was enjoyable would go ba k again

was expecting a king as booked , bed turned out to be so-called "double" but I think it was smaller than a double and bottom sheet was a flat sheet suitable for baby's crib, it would not stay tucked in, just awful to sleep on mattress with sheet refusing to stay tucked in, front desk gave compensation by free parking but I would never return to this […] hotel Mehr

There was some construction to a neighboring room which was loud during daytime but by dinner hours it was over. The neighbourhood is old and in spots tired but is convenient and close to a University so it wasn't bad to walk around in, has 24 hour streetcars/trolley out front and is walking distance to subway and shopping districts. Very nice clean beds, covers and sheets. However carpeting is old, no small fridge in room, windows are old and foggy. Bathrooms are slightly old however clean. Bathtub was draining slow. Wi-Fi is free, but speed of connection very slow to browse internet. Great Location in Downtown Toronto next to Yonge street.

When I went to plug in my light fixture over the phone, i had to pull away the end table and i was so disgusted with the dust and dirt that I found laying on the floor. As well as the internet was not working so I could not get any work done as I was out of town on business and customers needed my help. I don't believe I would stay at your hotel again […] as I was not pleased at all. Mehr

The underground parking at this hotel has the most ridiculously tight entrance and spaces that I have ever seen in a commercial garage. If you intend to park anything larger than a small saloon, then you have been warned...

I checked in at 5:30pm and Hotel said only had smoking rooms left. I said that won't work for me. They said Hotels.com doesn't gurantee a room type. Eventually they put me in a smaller room with just a Queen, not a King as I paid for (but non-smoking). Parking is $23.00 extra. Hotel is Okay but certainly only good if it saves you money to stay there […] vs others. Mehr

the room was clean, the service was not perfect but it was ok, we didnt have problem to order something or deal with the staff. the beds was a little bit small for 4 person except that the hotel was doing the job

i must say i was happy with the stay, room was very roomy, beds and pillows confy, and the hotel maids were very nice, location was great perfect location and compared to the other hotels great price for said location. check out and check in time was fast. would be nice to have room service but plenty of places around delivered, the only thing i did […] not like was that the doors were really loud when closed, bathroom and esp the toilets not in best condition, and not enough elvators so we had to stop at every floor(were on the 22nd) and had to wait a while in the lobby. other than that i would recomend this hotel--ps room looked just like the pic :) Mehr

Disappointing!! Drab, no amenties, a basic hotel, no frills or atmosphere.

Hotel was convenient, expensive for how dirty it was...seriously, yuk... This may be a hotel.com issues, but they did not have the right room...traveling with a co-worker, asked for 2 beds, they wanted to check us into a king size room...may have paid more than we should for that. BUT big + for this hotel, small kitchenette...VERY helpful...and that […] compared to the rest of the room was clean. Just bring your own cooking tools, they don't have plates and pots and pans and and and. There is a Metro within walking distance. You can certainly see that this hotel was great when the Maple leaf Square Gardens was open. Cleanliness was the biggest thing, the bathroom was disgusting...otherwise I would recommend this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was just a couple minutes walk from the subway and nearby to various attractions. This being my first time staying in a hotel without the parents, I found everything ran super smoothly. I felt safe walking the surrounding streets with the boyfriend as well. My favourite part though was having burners, […] a microwave oven, sink and mini-fridge in the room; very convenient. For the rate at which I had to pay, I would definitely recommend this hotel. About the only thing I would complain about is that the check-in lady was a little rude, and the waiter at the restaurant messed up our orders and did not provide the best service. Although not right downtown it is only a 5 minute subway ride or a quick taxi ride to get their. Our room was comfortable and clean. Parking however, is a bit expensive.

There was an issue from the front desk at check-in. She was baffled by my lack of credit card. I maybe the last person on Earth who doesn't use one but that is why I got a re-loadable from can post. Not good enough. No problem at the Wedgewood in Vancouver- Big problem for the dirty Best Western in Toronto. The shower looked as though it had been wiped […] down daily for the past six months without cleaner of any kind. The discolouration of the tiles is soap grime not the tile itself. The towels are not soft in any sense but several were worn through to the point I saw holes. I would not, again. Mehr

just as you come into the hotel was very dirty of garbage on ground..Needs garbage pail there for the coffee cups etc. Elevators very slow. Pool needs a good clean and repairs. Restaurant closed on sundays REALLY. Staff nice and helpful.Liked my room. Enjoyed restaurants around the area but very expensive.

Nice hotel. Attentive to guests' needs and a friendly staff. Within easy walking distance to the main attractions in Toronto as well as bus, subway and trolley stops. On the edge of Toronto's gay village which has some great restaurantsas well as entertainment. It is only limited by a small underground garage, not suitable for larger vehicles. bad bad experince never agin at that hotel

The room itself was clean & comfortable. The location is great: right downtown Toronto & could walk anywhere with ease. Our issue was with our room neighbors, the hotel hall environment, and the hotel staff service. The hotel hosted certification exams that we scheduled to take (they all started at 8am). It was in their conference room on the 23rd […] floor (nice room as well), so we booked a room there for two nights over the weekend. We noticed their rack rate was at a premium, but still it was still better to be onsite where the exam was offered. After some material reviewing Friday night, we go to bed around 9:30pm knowing we need to be well-rested for the 6-hour exam. At 11pm, the neighboring room's several occupants were loud & partying hardy: talking, shouting, laughing, TV blaring, whistling & singing along with music playing, cell phones ringing constantly ... the works. We called the front desk & informed them of this, and they advised they'd send security up to have them settle down. We're not sure if any hotel staff came, but we know they didn't "settle down". At 11:45pm we called the front desk again to inform them that the neighboring room was as loud as before, and now bumping against or even maybe beating on the connecting door to the rooms (it was locked). The front desk person apologized and advised they had moved these folks from another room already, and were about to call the police on them to have them removed. Again, the front desk person advised they would send hotel security to the neighboring room. This time, we did hear staff knock on their door. It got quieter over the next several minutes, and we thought it issues resolved. So much so, that we were able to be back to sleep for our test in a few hours. Unfortuneately, around 4:30am our neighbors returned and were as loud as before. We called the front desk for a thrid time, informed them of their loudness even in the halls. Fairly convenient to subway and Yonge Street. Nice hotel room for the price. Would definitely stay again.

Considering how hot the summer is in Toronto i was extremely upset that they wouldnt fix the air conditioner. One of the guests has asthma and was not able to stay in the room. The manager informed us that it was our responsibility to check in advance if the room's air contion was in service. He even said the guest was free to check into another hotel […] which she eventually did at 2am. The front desk staff were very kind but the manager was ridiculous, rude and not very sympathetic. He even said in all the years he's worked there he has never heard of someone not being able to breathe properly due to heat. . Had bedbugs. I had bites all over. We left in the middle of the night. Would not return or recommend it.

You could not have got a better room then this..We were one block away from pride..Hope to get this room next year...Should i be booking that already..lol ..The parking is not good.,but the hotel will help guests deside where you could park..We parked 21/2 blocks from there and payed 10 a day..Was good.

Loved my stay .They let me check in early .Only complaint was they didn't have the golf channel on cable .

This Hotel was nice, but the parking garage was crazy. It will NOT accomodate an extended cab truck. The only sign about the parking was that it would only accomodate 6 feet high vehicles. Nothing about extended cab vehicles.

Great location, friendly staff, overall a good hotel. The only bad thing was that the bathroom wasn't the greatest, it was very old!!

OLD RUN DOWN HOTEL.THE CARPETING WAS GROSS.WE LEFT OUR SOCKS ON.AT LEAST THE BEDDING WAS CLEAN.
