Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

"Needs remodeling"
When we checked in lot of old people were there, The rooms were old fashion with wallpaper old looking blinds. They accept dogs so there was a dog next door that kept barking. I called front desk and they said they would check it out, they did but didn't stop the dog!

"Perfectly adequate"
The Red Lion in Bellevue has been there for many years. The "new" Bellevue has grown up around it, and almost every other property in downtown costs twice as much now. The Red Lion is a mile from everything, and very affordable. The rooms aren't brand spanking new, the views are non-existent, but if you're looking for a decent place to sleep without […] spending twice what you should, then stay here. It's perfectly adequate. The only setback (for me) is the fitness room was very small and had only two cardio machines plus some free weights and a simple bench. Enough to get some work in, but many hotels do offer better workout rooms. Mehr

"Enjoyable"
The room was comfortable. The work out area was clean and contained cardio equipment and some free weights. The only complaint I have is that the air fresheners in the lobby and hallways were so unbelievable strong I am shocked that I didn't get a headache every time I left our room.
"Red Lion Bellevue, WA."
Front desk staff very helpful and friendly on check in and actually seemed to like their jobs. Restaurant had excellent service, and the food adequate. It was cold in the restaurant, I asked for more heat as did another couple. It never did warm up, so it was a little uncomfortable. The bedding and the beds themselves were excellent.
"Maintenance"
For two of the three days at the hotel the bathroom was flooded. People came in to repair---no repair done. The third day the water dripped on my head while trying to go to the bathroom! Not happy!
"A very nice Hotel"
We stayed here for a conference that was at a close by hotel. We were very impressed with everything at this hotel. Friendly staff and very convenient location. We ordered room service and were so impressed with how fast and good the meal was. 15 mins Thanks, we will always stay here when in Bellevue.
The room was okay, but VERY dim. It was hard to see whether it was clean or not. the beds were hard, but okay. It was definitley a lower end motel, but conveniently located
Hotel was is great location with comfortable clean rooms. The only downfall is the heater which is really loud when it comes on and it has to come on alot.

"There are other hotels in nicer areas"
I have stayed in Bellevue a number of times, this is an adequate hotel; nothing special. It is located right next to a major road, and can be annoying to access if you are coming from the wrong direction. Overall, the rooms are clean and comfortable, but there are nicer hotels for the same price in nicer areas of Bellevue.
"Look elsewhere!"
The only way to over come the road noise is to use the VERY loud room HVAC, which is only operable in manual mode; bring your earplugs if you plan on sleeping. "Great experience"
Rooms were comfy...a little dark (not great lighting),, but everything else was great. Having a gym was a plus and a restaurant on site as well. Bed and TV top notch...thank you!
"Cold, just OK"
I stayed here for a work-related event so it was close to the job site. The AC was on full blast when I walked into my room, and I could never get it to warm up. Everything was "just OK." not great. restaurant was average -- only hotel workers in there eating. Next time, I'll try the Sheraton or Hilton, both nearby.

"Great old hotel"
I would stay at this hotel again, definitely. It was made in the 1960's but is kept up very well and is clean. The customer service is fabulous. And I typically judge a hotel based on three things: the pillows, the bed, and the bathroom. All of which were really good.

Our stay at the Red Lion Inn in Bellvue was great. What awesome, comfortable beds! I can't remember when I've slept so well on the first night in a new motel! I was a bit concerned that we were so close to hwy 405, but never heard a thing! It is an older property, but has been upgraded and was very clean in both the rooms and the banquet facilities. […] The staff was really friendly and attentive. This includes the catering staff as well. The food at Jonah's restaurant was excellent. A little bit of everything from simple to gourmet fare. Well prepared and presented. They also went above and beyond to accomodate some special and unique dietary requests.The breakfast buffet was so yummy and not having to pay for our 10 yr old was a treat! We had a vehicle and found Bellvue to be a great place to shop and eat out! And everything was easy to find. Mehr

The sheets were soo thin and threadbare. The wood siding below the bathroom sink was scratched and worn out. The door trim was nicked in many places and never touched up with paint. No elevator for ease of luggage. Not going back.

Close to shopping, dining, freeway access. Comfortable and quiet for the most part but the room layout left something to be desired. Mirror over sink in bathroom, but only other mirror in the middle of a wall away from light or window. Lighting was very poor - why don't hotels have better in-room lighting - are they trying to hide something? "Bellevue Red Lion"
Great location, clean, comfortable room. The Red Lion combines some of the best features of motel-hotel living. Grounds are lovely.
"Well renovated"
They did a good job renovating and modernizing the rooms. It would be nice to add an elevator to second floor for luggage. The heater was noisy- I woke up when the compressor went on - every time. But these types of A/C seem to always have these problems. Nice to have Frig, coffee makers and even micro.
"Hotel in Bellevue close to eye surgery clinic"
Jonah's restaurant nearby was convenient, service and food good. Breakfast hours not early enough. Overall, the hotel, staff and accommodation were good. The heater in the room was not adequate to heat it to a comfortable level. The bathroom hot water faucet was hard to turn off to keep it from leaking. Room was too dim for reading.

"My I phone Stolen"
simply my I phone got stolen by one of thier cleaner and when I complained about it they would not accept the fact that it was stolen by one of thier staff. and they just keep telling me that they are very ownest people and I might lost it somewhere else. when in fact I was 100% sure it was stolen from the room
"Red Lion Bellevue - Good value"
This hotel is conveniently located near the freeway ramps for downtown Bellevue, though it was mildly challenging to find at night. We stayed for nearly a week, and had no complaints. It is a 1960s design (sprawling two story buildings, no elevators) that has been updated. The optional breakfast buffet was nothing to write home (or a glowing review) […] about, but the staff was friendly and the selection was more than adequate. Having a cocktail lounge with a personable bartender was nice, but it closed at 10 PM--probably due to the sparse patronage. We particularly liked the ample, free parking and easy access from the car to the room. Mehr

"Great Value!"
Everything about this stay was fantastic. The price, location, hotel condition, pool...everything! The only complaint we had was that our rooms did not get cleaned during the one full day we were at the hotel. When I called front desk to inquire the person answering the phone seemed very confused and said that there was no housekeeping, they had gone […] home for the day, but she did say we could get more towels when I asked. We got a phone call a few minutes later stating that she had been mistaken, and that housekeeping was indeed on premises, and someone came up within a few minutes to clean our rooms. Mehr

"Red Lion Bellevue"
No elevator, so be prepared to lug your suitcases up a flight of stairs. Although I called ahead to ask for a ground floor room, I didn't get it. Maids do not seem very well trained -- they didn't empty the ice bucket (full of water after sitting overnight) and one day they forgot to replenishl the coffee. They never did replenish the Equal coffee sweetener. But […] it's convenient, well kept, and a comfortable room at a reasonable price. Mehr

"Needs repairs"
The staff were wonderful. The condition of the room questionable. There was a huge crack in the sink, the seal around the tub was off, the room they gave me was a handicap accessible room and the hand rails on the toilet were rusted and looked as though they had been there for 50 years. The shower bench was in need of replacing too. I watched several […] big dogs come into the hotel and no one asked if I had any allergies and I dont remember hearing that dogs were allowed there. The linens appeared clean. Room was hot and you couldnt open the windows. People were standing on the balcony in the room above mine, smoking so when the air was on from the unit in my room I got the smell of cigarettes too. The room was quiet but the rest undesirable, especially for the price. Mehr
You fail to ask a very important question. NOISY The hotel was regulary using a ahop vac to clean cars about 40 feet from my room. NOISY
"Get control of your parking"
Everything was okay except I had to call and complain about the terrible parking contol by hotel. A banquet saturated parking lot with cars and noisy, drunk people; I counted about 5 cars by guests were taking up 2 parking stalls. The worst was a truck and boat was allow to park along side the hotel and take up about 7 parking stalls...with an extension […] cord coming from room to boat. I did not have room to park anywhere. I compained and nothing was done. I will never stay there again and will not recommend. Mehr
