I did not care for this hotel. You could hear the airplanes taking off an landing all night. I could hear people running down the hall at 3:00am and then hear the people by the pool till late at night and early morning. The parking was far. Had to pay too much to park in dirt!

My fiancé, son, and I stayed here after our trip to the San Diego Zoo. Our view was incredibly beautiful. We had a view if the marina and the SD Airport. My 1 year old loved watching the planes take off and land. The room was incredible and was kid friendly. The bed was so comfortable. We ordered room services and I felt like a queen when it was delivered […] with the way we were waited on. The walls are a bit thin and parking is overpriced at $22 self park, but overall this was an incredible hotel to stay at. I wish we had more time there. Mehr

Stayed here for a conference, as I'm sure many of the guests do. If I came on vacation, I'd probably stay somewhere in a better location. It was easy (shuttle + public bus) to get places (downtown, beach) but I'd rather have stayed somewhere more central. It is RIGHT next to the airport which is GREAT! The staff was very helpful and the place was always […] very clean. The beds are very comfy! And I liked having a balcony. Also liked how you can easily walk between the two towers and there is a sandwich shop, and Starbucks, etc. Overall a great stay! Mehr

I was very disappointed that there was no free wifi in the room you had to go sit in e lobby to access the wifi.

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Sheraton. The location was right on the water and we had a room with a marina view. The room was spaceous, tastefully decorated, the linens were soft and the Starbucks coffee was bold, just the way we like it! I would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel and room with very comfortable beds. However, be wary if you have a rent a car of $22.00 per day parking charge (self-parking) and also Internet usage fee of $11.95 per day....this adds up quickly for a multi-day stay.

Very nice stay. The staff is great. Food in the sports bar was good. The room was very well priced.

Plus: 1. Right next to the airport 2. Beautiful views 3. Inexpensive Negatives: 1. Parking $22/day 2. Next to airport, but the rest of everything is far. So, nowhere to eat outside the hotel.

After careful reviews of this hotels and others around Sea World I choose this hotel. There were many others closer, however, had worse reviews. This is my personal opinion: I loved this place!!!! The room was spectacular! We had a view of the marina and stayed in the Bay tower. They have two towers, Marina and Bay. Marina tower has all the restaurants […] and bars but seemed always busy. Our tower was quiet, still had its own gift shop and the walk over to the Marina tower is 3 minutes max. Was very happy about that! Staff all very friendly, helpful and want to make you comfortable. The desk staff was always happy, smiling and asking what else you needed. Room service was quick and the food was great! Of course everything room service is a little pricey, but I was on vacation and after long days, room service was nice. Constant line of taxi's to get you where you wanted to go. That all said, we did not rent a car and required taxi service everywhere. Although ready and waiting, the hotel is really in the middle of a marina with nothing in walking distance. We wanted a water view, but had we stayed downtown, there would have been many dining options. Of course I am whining more than anything, because everywhere we went was within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. Still I would have stayed here than anywhere else! There were a few cosmetic problems with the hotel. Some of the wallpaper was peeling and such, but I saw contractors working on various things, so I think that may have been next on the list. Shuttle to/from airport runs every 15 minutes, so there was little wait. I can go on and on but won't. This vacation was amazing and so was the hotel! Mehr

I will recommend this hotel its very nice location is good service is good the only thing which is missing is wifi internet in the rooms which they told me they are upgrading and wifi will be available from April 2012 but for now we still hv to use cabel internet in the rooms lobby and club lounge has wifi which is nice...

The hotel is very dated. My room had a huge stain in the carpet and there were creepy looking flecks on the bathroom wallpaper. The junior suite was a joke - more like a regular room. The front desk staff was humorless and rude. And, to top it off, $22 for self park in a dirt lot a good hike from the front door. Stay away from this hotel!

Very nice hotel with great location. Didnt like paying for internet service when cheaper smaller chains give you free service?

This hotel is in bad need of a complete overhaul. The carpet in the room had a giant stain and there were creepy looking stains on the bathroom wallpaper. I was here for a CE meeting and was very disappointed. Staff at the front desk was not very friendly either.

Beautiful lobby....great views from balcony. Room...adequate...no really comfortable chair....scratchy towels....very weak pressure in the shower

We got the.club room and although its the same size as a regular room, its classy with a nice view and balcony. Also the perks of the club level are nice with complimentary appetizers and breakfast.

We live in San Diego but came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the experience was great. Our suite was on the top floor with incredibly views of the skyline. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they accomodated our dog very well. The Club Access was great as well. We didn't go to the evening selection, but took advantage of it for breakfast […] in the morning which was nice. All around an excellent, easy, smooth stay, and definitely a place I would recommend! The Sheraton near SAN provides a nice play to rest for short trips in the area. While there are not many restaurants/services in the surrounding area, the hotel provides several options including a gift shop and two restaurants with overpriced, but decent food. The breakfast buffet - while limited in choices - had a nice sampling of fresh fruit. We […] enjoyed playing ping-pong in the recreation area and found the pool and hot tub to be a perfect end to the day. We also enjoyed our time by the fire pit, finding it especially satisfying after a dip. The room itself was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Service was excellent and the free shuttle bus to the airport prompt and convenient. Stay here for short trips and when you need a good base for jumping off into the San Diego area. Mehr

We only spent one night, but it was a very enjoyable stay. We loved being so close to the water and having such a wonderful view. Very comfortable and a nice location.

We booked at the last minute for a December 23rd overnight. The price was way cheap, didn't ask for an ocean view but got it anyway, and the view was just right to see planes landing and all of downtown San Diego lit up at night. It's a short drive to the Gaslight District (Old Town). Only blemish for the hotel is that half of the self-parking (a right […] turn as you drive in, so turn left instead) is unpaved, making it difficult to drag wheeled suitcases over packed dirt. Even so, the plusses of this hotel so outweigh this issue that I had almost forgotten about it. Mehr

There is nothing better than to get to your destination after a long drive and get a big friendly smile and a warm welcome. The ladies at the front desk made my stay great, after checking in I just felt that I was welcomed there. I have been to this property several times and the upkeep is great. Thanks

Was only in SD for a night, needed a spot near the airport. There is a shuttle that runs back and forth every 20 minutes or so, it was very convenient. Bed was comfortable however they charge for wifi.

This was a wonderful hotel to stay in and the view of harbor from our room was wonderful. Shuttles to the airport ran every 15 minutes. We would definitely stay there again.

The room was comfortable. Could hear the noise from the airplanes taking off and landing at San Diego Airport. We had NO hot water for our showers. Water was luke warm.

We'd been traveling for about 10 hours when we got delayed in Chicago. Our plane would not arrive until 1:40 PST-long after our ride would be gone. We booked this hotel at O'Hare. It was right across from the San Diego airport but could have been miles away. It was lovely, quiet and comfortable. We had a great night's sleep and breakfast overlooking […] the bay. This hotel was very nice, however, the lack of parking and parking fees changed my experience dramatically. The service was sub-par at best too. It had its high-notes but it was far from a complete experience.

The lady who checked me in was really rude and had a ton of attitude. My room was DISGUSTING. The toilet and bed sheets had someones hair all over it and the bed sheets were stained. The water in the shower barely came out. The room smelled old and dirty. Never again will I stay at this hotel.

The Japanese tourists were still on Japan time I think... they were very loud and the first time we've ever had to call the desk to take care of it so we could sleep. The walls are a bit thin. Other than that, the hotel was great. Great business center, wi-fi, two restaurants (not cheap, but good), and helpful staff. Parking isn't awesome, but considering […] the area it's good enough. We booked a room at Bay tower. Once we finished check-in at the front desk, we had to go outside and park. There is nothing wrong with self-parking, I even felt convenient that our room and car are close each other. But at the same time, once we left the Lobby, I felt I'm staying at some motel not Sheraton because the room is not located in the main […] building, and each room's door is located outside like motel. Other thing made me disappointed was the view from our room. It says Bay tower, but I only could see from the window was a pool and bunch of other rooms. Our room was on 3rd floor which was the highest of the Unit. Sheraton should change description for those type of rooms! No Ocean View! Mehr

We had a nice room on the seventh floor facing the marina. The room was clean and a nice large size. They had a nice holiday special price. There were two problems that became evident in the evening: 1) the air conditioner was not working and 2) the bathroom sink stopped up. We were only there for one night and the weather was such that we could open […] the patio door and get a lower temperature, but that also let in the city noise. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel this week and will definitely be back in the future. The hotel is more resort style - There are 2 pools and a good size hot tub. It's located very close to a bay and marina. My two year old loved the boats (there was a super cool pirate ship directly behind the pool) and walking around the bay. About half a mile down the road […] is another area in the bay where very large boats come in - we saw a cruise ship unloading there. The airport is very close, but the airplanes didn't bother us at all, which we were impressed with. We also brought our dog along with us; this was the first hotel we've ever stayed at where we felt very comfortable having brought her along. They gave us a room on the lanai where we had a patio that led out to a grassy area, which was great for walking our dog. There is also a Starbucks in this hotel. They have 2 fire pits that come on in the evening where we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. I booked this hotel on a special for just one night, and after we arrived, we wished we had booked it for longer. We will be back soon though. Mehr

Had a lovely view of the bay and downtown San Diego, however, the parking was outrageous! Try the Speedboat adventures while you are there! It was a way cool way to see the harbor and the sights along it.

Hard to get acces to parking, almost impossible to get communication with front desk after 11 pm

Hotel is old, not much in walk distance for fun. dirty parking lot with expensive charge, no wireless, you can hear airplane noise in the morning.

We (our family) like the hotel, checked in was pleasant, thanks to Ms. Blanca so friendly and calm she was kindly helped me out with all the questions I must ASKED... the room was ok, a litle small for 2 queen beds, beautiful view.
