Im NH Giustinano stimmte alles: Zum Mittelklassepreis gab es ein sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer (hatten allerdings das Angebot zum Upgrade wahrgenommen). Das Zimmer war groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Das Bad war klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was erforderlich ist. Das Zimmer war nach erstem Anschein sauber. Der Service war in Ordnung, insbesondere beim Frühstückspersonal hätten wir uns mehr Freundlichkeit gewünscht. Aber das ist nach unserer Erfahrung Rom-typisch. Das Frühstück selbst war vielseitig und schmackhaft (mit Ausnahme des Automaten-Kaffees).

Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb von Rom und ist wirklich sehr günstig über die Bahnstation Pantanella zu erreichen. Es ist in einem sehr guten Zustand mit Marmorböden und vielen Details, die es schön verzieren. Ein typisches italienisches Früstück ist zu erwarten, das sich in Umfang vom deutschen unterscheidet. Leider haben wir gefühlt das mit Abstand schlechteste Zimmer bekommen, da es im Gegensatz zum gesamten Hotel wirklich sehr einfach eingerichtet war. Aber es war sauber und wir hatten vier schöne Tage in Rom. Empfehlenswert vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Wir verbrachten insgesamt 4 Tage mit unseren Kindern in Rom. Das Familienappartement des B&B war Ideal für uns. Die Lage In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Kolosseum und zur Metro war hervorragend. Der Vermieter ist unheimlich freundlich und hat sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ruhig gelegen, die Betten waren sehr gut.
Lage
Astoria Garden Hotel befindet sich mitten in Rom. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar: Diokletiansthermen und Aula Ottagona. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe gehören: Teatro dell'Opera di Roma und Santa Maria Maggiore.

Dieses Hotel verfügt über Folgendes: Bar/Lounge. Jeden Morgen wird den Gästen ein kostenloses Frühstück serviert. Roms Hauptbahnhof Termini - eine eindrucksvolle und moderne architektonische Sehenswürdigkeit - ist das Tor zur Stadt für alle vom Flughafen Fiumicino kommenden Besucher. Zwischen dem Bahnhof und der mondänen Via Veneto befinden sich mehrere Orte, die einen Besuch wert sind. Der Palazzo Barberini ist ein wunderschöner Barockpalast, die Terme di Diocleziano waren einst der größte Badekomplex der Stadt und die Kirche Santa Maria della Concezione besitzt eine beeindruckende Kapuzinerkrypta.

Waren für 4 Tage (3 Nächte) Anfang März 2012 in Rom und hatten mit dem Astoria Garden ein sehr schönes Hotel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr hübsch und gepflegt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend vielfältig und immer gut gefüllt. Nur den "Saftersatz" mochten wir nicht. Unser Zimmer lag im Garten. Sauber und ruhig, […] höchstens etwas überheizt. Allerdings war es recht klein und es gab nur einen ca. 50 cm breiten Schrank was selbst bei sehr wenig Gepäck zu wenig ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Mehr

Sehr sauberes Hotel in Termininähe. Freundliche, z.T. auch deutschsprechende Mitarbeiter. Zimmer war klein aber sauber und völlig ausreichend. Frühstücksbuffet war auch OK. Süße Brötchen, Weißbrot, Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Joghurt, viel süßer Kuchen - wer Vollkornbrötchen erwartet, wird enttäuscht sein. Kaffee aus dem Automaten. Hervorzuheben ist der äußerst freundliche und zuvorkommende Service! Meiner Partnerin wurde in der Metro u.a. der Personalausweis gestohlen. Kommunikative Komplikationen mit den Carabinieri und der Deutschen Botschaft - Handy Netz war während des Schneechaos in Rom zusammengebrochen - wurden von den Mitarbeitern in bewundernswerter Weise mit ständig […] hergestellten Festnetzverbindungen und Entgegennahme von Nachrichten, vor allem zur deutschen Botschaft, hervorragend und vor allem mit Geduld gemeistert. Danke noch einmal an die Rezeption!!!!! Das Frühstück berücksichtigt mitteleuropäische Angewohnheiten, ein Service, der in Rom eher selten zu finden ist. Zimmer und Bad: alles perfekt. Der wunderschön gestaltete Innenhof mit den großen Bananenstauden wäre im Sommer bestimmt ein Highlight gewesen. Ich befürchte nur, das die Bananen nach der Schneelast und dem Frost auf den Kompost müssen.... Mehr

"Nettes Hotel in zentraler Lage"
Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe zweier U-Bahn Stationen (z.B. Termini) und ist gut zu Fuss zu erreichen! Die Gegend ist sehr belebt und man hat auch Abends ein sicheres Gefühl. Das Personal ist unglaublich nett und sehr hilfsbereit! Wir würden dieses Hotel sofort wieder wählen.

Hotel, Zimmer und Bad sind super-sauber. Die Lage ist sehr gut, da nicht weit von der Metro- und Bus-Station Termini. Sehr freundliches, zum großen Teil deutsch-sprechendes Personal. ==> Alles in allem zu empfehlen <== Trotzdem gibt es Schwächen, die ich hier aufliste: Das Famiienzimmer (2 Erw., 2 Kinder) ist sehr klein. Sieht so aus als wären in ein […] normales Doppelzimmer zwei Zustellbetten reingepackt worden. Ein kleiner Schrank (1m breit) für 4 Personen. Der Zimmersafe seht unbefestigt im Kleiderschrank... Das Frühstück ist für römische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Leider jeden Tag 100% identisch. Der Kaffee ist eine Schande für Italien (Aus Instant-Automat). Das geht wirklich gar nicht! Mehr

"Nettes, preisgünstiges Hotel"
Das Astoria Garden Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs, von dem aus mit Bussen und der U-Bahn alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar sind. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, die Zimmer sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

"Astoria Garden near terminal... but not too close"
Spent 5 nights at this hotel. It is a clean and quiet hotel and street. Not too far from the terminal but be aware that the Castro Pretorio Metro station is near if you like to take the Metro to visit the Coloseum, etc.. Like most european hotels, the bathroom is small. Great service and breakfasts!

Good location. Very neer to the city terminal. The personal was very pleasent and service oriented. The room was very dark, didn't look very fresh and the shower was not working properly. But still considering the location, the service and the prices, it was a good choise for two days stay in Rome.

The location of this hotel is perfect for access to Termini Station in order to get to the airport. Furthermore, it is located on the best side of the station because it is a shabby on the other side. The reception and dining areas are superb, as were the friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient to the Termini station, just a few blocks away. The metro and bus stops are nearby as well, making seeing Rome relatively convenient. Never having visited Rome before, I chose this location for the convenience of arriving and departing. I'm glad that I did. The hotel furnishings are dated, but clean. I visited in early January, the […] weather was cold for Rome, so the heat was on in the hotel. Either it can't be controlled in the rooms or I couldn't figure it out, so I slept with the windows open to the courtyard and I was fine. Rooms on the other side, open to the street, may have more of a problem with that. If you're looking at hotels in the Termini area, stay on this side. I walked around one evening and the neighborhood on the other side seemed very rough to me. Of course, it was nighttime. Mehr
"Tight squeeze"
Great service, great location, nice breakfast, but small room. No complaint but small is small and could be a problem. Close to termini but 85 and 962 buses are even better than the metro to get downtown.

The service at the front desk was amazing and they are 24/hr, which is very convenient. The breakfast in the morning was included in our extremely reasonable price and had several options. Basic, simple, traditional Italian breakfast but all you can eat. The only reason we did not give this hotel a perfect rating is because the beds were SO uncomfortable. […] The pillows were very flat and the bed mattress extremely hard/firm. We did not sleep well in these beds at all. The bathroom is nice as well as the rest of the hotel. "Pretty & clean hotel in quiet street near Termini"
Hotel was pretty & clean with big garden in the back. Located in a quiet street 3 minutes walk from Termini station. I used public transportation only once to go to the Vatican otherwise everything else was walking distance (20-30 min walk). Gentlemen at the reception were very nice & helpful.
Lovely hotel close to Termini so ideal for getting to or from the Airport. Most helpful staff made us feel very welcome.Good breakfasts and very pleasant garden/courtyard, ideal for restful drink after much sightseeing. Will definitely stay there again. The most surprising thing was the modest room rates.Thank you for a lovely three nights.

This hotel surpassed our expectations! The front desk staff provided excellent service with a smile every day! The room was very clean and although the shower didn't have too much water pressure, it may have just been that particular shower. The breakfast buffet was generous and the location couldn't be beat. It was just a few blocks away from Termini […] and so it was a very convenient location. When we go back to Rome, we would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend this hotel! Mehr

"Great location"
Staying at this hotel made it real easy to get back with transport links. Only two metro stops to Colosseum. Cleanliness of the rooms outstanding and very friendly staff arranging tours with useful local advice. Only problem was the breakfast which was a bit boring. Eat local, there is plenty on offer and local supermarket just across the plaza.

I travel often and prefer 3-star hotels and this is possibly the nicest one in my experience. Clean, modern, new-like throughout on a quiet street with the most friendly and helpful hotel staff that I can remember. It is also easy and convenient to find. Walking distance from Roma Termini. I won't hesitate to stay again.

This hotel is very convenient 5-8 minute walk from Rome's Central Station. An excellent location if you have just flown into or you are flying out of Rome as the airport train departs from this station. My wife and I stayed here for one night at the end of two weeks in Italy before flying out the next day. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. They all spoke evcellent English. The room was small but adequate and comfortable. The location is terrific, excellent restaurant recommendation, smallish room, staff beyond courteous, filling free breakfast. For the price, this hotel couldn't be better.
This hotel is very popular, and the period we stayed is pretty full booking. I think people like this hotel because it's private garden. Yet, for our case, they arranged a room for us in the ground floor, the room is facing the street and the air condition is not working. So we requested to change to another room, and they arranged a room for us that […] is pretty small due to the full booking situation. The hotel is a bit old, but still nicely maintained. The staff is nice and helpful. Location wise, it is around 10 min walk from the train station, but this side is not as good as the other side of the train station where there is more restaurants and shops. I think this hotel is good for western travellers, but for asian travellers like us, the garden is not really a key point rather I prefer a bigger and more comfortable room with this pricing. Mehr

If you're looking for a hotel that will provide you with 5-star amenities, this is not the place. But if you want clean, comfortable rooms, and you're planning to be out seeing Rome instead of the inside of your hotel, this is the place. Breakfast is good and is included in the meal. 5-minute walk to train station/buses/metro allows quick access to […] all parts of the city. Garden and bar are nice features of this hotel. My better half and I stayed here for 4 nights in Aug 2010. Our stay was very good-breakfast was great, location was very convenient as it is very close to the train station and within walking distance to most of the famous sights. The only downfall to our stay was that the air conditioning was not very cold and there was no way to adjust it to make […] it colder.
