das hotel sehr gut gefunden. zirka 20 minuten vom flughafen entfernt. old scottsdale gleich in nähe. auch gut gelegen für weitere ausflüge.jederzeit wieder

Zimmer alerdings für ein BW relativ klein und leider ohne Frühstück, auch unüblich für BW. Aber auf Grund des Preises durchaus weiter zu empfehlen

For the money, you can't beat the Papago. I love the quiet courtyard with the chirping birds, swimming pool, and blooming jasmine. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable, even if the bathroom is a little dated. Great stay. Nice grounds, lovely pool, very relaxing setting--convenient to Old Scottsdale shopping/restaurants/activities. Polite staff, clean rooms.

clean rooms. Great view from second and third floors. I was on the first floor so I was a little disappointed. The pool was warm and the staff was friendly with good suggestions for dinner.

Would it be 5 stars compared to the Waldorf? No. But in accordance with the price I couldnt be more pleased. Everything was clean, staff was nice. The room had small ameneties that have gone by the wayside in other hotels. Like a mini fridge. The little courtyard in the middle with the pool is a nice touch.

This was a charming older property with all the comforts a traveler would expect. A beautiful pool surrounded by gardens and birds made it feel like an oasis. More to the point, the staff was super friendly and helpful. It was not in the heart of Scottsdale - actually the southern border - but only a 5-10 min. drive to the downtown.

Nice inexpensive hotel with fabulous, well maintained gardens and a super heated pool. Room was pleasant but fridge didn't work properly and extractor fan in bathroom noisy and grimy. All in all happy we stayed here and would definitely go back

Pro's are the location, Price and overall cleanliness. Cons : Parking, very noisy carts and cleaning staff in the early morning hours. An older property. We were pleased with our stay but Parking was a big problem if your not in by early evening, as were the carts used by the cleaning staff. They were old very noisy shopping carts and they rolled them […] back and forth by our room every morning beginning at 8. When we checked in we notified the office that the ceiling fan did not work but they never offered to check it out during our 5 day stay. Mehr

Not sure why it's called "Resort". Never saw anything that would fit that word.

We were quite satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel and the helpfulness and curteousness of the hotel staff. The only drawback for this hotel was the size of the bathroom. All the amenities including the shower and the toilet were squeezed into a 12x12 space, cramped and uncomfortable.

10 minutes from Sky Harbour airport and 5 mins from down town Scottsdale. A rather dated but clean and friendly Hotel set on the corner of a strange retail complex and closed down night club. Good value for money when booked on internet

We stayed at the Papago inn for one night before a business meeting. We got a great deal last minute deal from Hotels.com and were not sure what to expect. We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the room, super comfy beds, updated bathroom and the plush bathrobes were an added bonus. The location was great. This Best Western has a beautiful courtyard. The trees and plants are beautiful. The large birdcage filled with parakeets and other birds was a joy to watch. They filled the air with song. The room was very clean with lots of space on the granite bathroom counter top for all our "stuff". The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. We accessed […] the on site computer for directions to different locations and to print our boarding passes. The Papago bar and breakfast restaurant served reasonably priced drinks and the breakfasts were great. Outside seating was also available. We were in walking distance of a brewery, Asian restaurant and shops. Our only problem was that the heating and cooling was on one system for 2/3's of the units. When we were there it was set on air, which meant that we could not turn on the heat when the temp was 68. The staff provided us with a portable heater, which worked great for the cooler mornings. The newer section of units have individual thermostats. All in all, we would stay there again. Mehr

The best part of our stay was having breakfast with Valeri she was pleasant start to our day.

Nice place and nice outdoor pool area, with gazeebos for sitting out at night - great location - can walk to many different restaurants, bars. Very clean and personnel very friendly!

Great hotel for the value. Lots of amenities for the price. Not great parking though.

This was my second time staying at this hotel for New Years Eve. I enjoy the comfort and location of the hotel. So close to everything. The only thing I don't like is the bird cage outside near the pool. But other than that it's a clean and great place to stay.

We were very happy at this hotel. It was about 3 miles straight down the road from my Dads house, and this was very convenient for my sister and I. We would definately stay next time we visit there.

A very pleasant surprise: nice decor, lovely grounds (note that the photo showing a jacuzzi is inaccurate - there isn't one), an aviary in the courtyard, actual ceramic coffee mugs and a nice coffee maker, small fridge (a microwave would be great), decent TV, great linens (but old sagging mattress). In sum, an old hotel with nice updates and great service […] in an excellent location - It will be my usual when I return to visit family in Phoenix Mehr

Heated pool was not heated

The room and courtyard of the hotel is very nice. Sound travels however and DON'T take a room by any of the gates they are extremely loud and will keep you up at night...

Nice facilities, clean. Pretty courtyard. Good value.

good value, very comfortable room, easy to get to airport.

This was a good hotel. Friendly staff, and nice clean rooms. A lot of places near by to eat and not too far from the 101. Only thing was the bird cage in which the birds like to get up early sometimes. Lovely cage though, beautiful sight, we will stay here again.

We were pleased with this hotel - chose it because it seemed to be easy access off the highway and the price was right. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant was a plus - had a very tasty breakfast there. Would definitely stay here again.

great deal for low cost

It was great! We loved the festive decor outside! Our only complaint was the pillows were uncomfortable to sleep on but maybe we could have asked for different pillows, otherwise it was perfect!

Cost was much more reasonable than other hotels in the area. Pleasantly surprised with accomodations.

The Best Western Papago Inn left me pleasantly surprised, because it was clean, well maintained, and even though it's an old motel, it is definitely quaint - I will stay there again. It also helps that it's near the airport, 3 blocks from the Green Belt, right on Scottsdale Rd and a host of entertainment, and just minutes from Tempe. The name is a little missleading, it is a motel, not a resort in any way. With that said, the grouds are beautiful, the pool is clean and heated with plenty of towels, the room was very clean and nicely decorated, staff was very friendly and helpful. The walls are a little thin, so bring some ear plugs. All rooms are outside access from a beautiful […] central courtyard, so if you are ultra paranoid keep that in mind. The area was very quiet and I never felt unsafe at any time during my stay. I would stay here again without hesitation and actually plan to in the near future. Very close to the Botanical Gardens, a WONDERFUL trail that runs along the canal, and a very short drive to Old Town and Downtown Scottsdale. Mehr

Quaint place to stay free coffee in room fridg. free internet, pool close by,laundry right here, also a beautiful outside (Large) bird cage with lovely birds to enjoy.Staff was great except one woman that won't let my child workout at the gym. The hotel was great, service met our needs and the bed was comfy. Pillows were a little bit in small size though.

Just picked this hotel because in late and wanted a cheap place sleep before I started my trip in earnest. It was clean. Bed was comfortable. Desk clerk was very nice. Older hotel but again it was clean and had nice grounds and pool. For the price it was fine

Although the hotel is a bit dated it is still a very good place to stay. The room was comfortable and spacious. The pool and surrounding ground area were well maintained and comfortable.
