und alles zu Fuss erreichbar (Market-Street, Liberty Bell, Franklin House).

Sehr schönes und gut gelegenes Hotel. Kann man guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung befinden sich einige coffee shops und ein kleiner Supermarkt, gute Verkehrsanbindung auch zu Amtrak.

Das Hotel überzeugte uns vollauf! Sehr freundliches Personal, guter Service, saubere und komfortable Suite, sogar mit Küche. Die Lage: sehr stadtnah und dennoch nicht zu laut - ca. 3-6 Minuten zu Fuß zur City Hall. Wir warern auf einer Rundreise für eine Nacht dort. Ich kann nur sagen Klasse Service, tolles Zimmer, nettes Personal und gute Lage um zu Fuß zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt loszugehen.

Alles hat uns sehr gut gefallen, auser dem Parking: Es ist zu teuer und man darf nicht selber einparken.

Das Hotel liegt sehr Zentral. City Hall ca. 5 min. entfernt und das erste Museum liegt um die Ecke. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man problemlos zu Fuss erreichen. Die Hotelzimmer sind sehr grosszügig. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln.

We stayed for a bachelor party. The location was exceptional and the rooms were huge. When coming back to Philly, I'll come back for sure.

The room was fine, a little shabby but it looked clean. I stayed in a studio suite and the walk-in closet was huge, kitchen separated and the main living space was alright. I didn't use the kitchen but it seemed to have everthing I would need. The appliances looked out-dated. My biggest problem with the room was the lack of sound-proofing. I could hear […] when someone ran a shower above me at midnight like they were in my bathroom. I could also clearly hear voices outside my door and checked to make sure my door was closed which it was. Also I took a shower around 4:30am the morning I left and the water was cold and would not warm up. Overall, it was alright but I wished I had stayed at a Holiday Inn or somewhere that has reliable service and room standards. Mehr

Room was much larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom looked to be recently updated. Room was very clean, however the balcony could use a power wash. Great location; walking distance to numerous historical sights and museums. Biggest drawback was a fee for parking (over $35 with taxes) and extremely slow elevators.

I loved it. It was within walking distance to everywhere and had two pubs right by the entrance. The room I stayed in had very comfortable beds, I booked a room for a single queen but they only had a room with two queens available so I used both beds through the four nights that I stayed. The shower was great too, a solid high pressure head. I think […] they were doing some renovations while I was there since around 9 or 10 am I heard drills and hammers. The hotel was walking distance from the famous love park, 3 blocks from the city hall metro stop, near by shopping at walnut and locust and great night life all within .5 radius. The hotel was clean, spacious and had a great ambiance- had a fantastic weekend in Philadelphia would do the same all over again. Definitely would stay here again and recommend […] to others- only downfall was that it was a little hard to find parking (hotel parking is rather pricey per night $30) but there are cheaper lots in the area. When we checked in we were told the hot water system was being "tested" . On 3 mornings we has hdot water that was about 75 degrees, no matter how long we ran it. The front desk apologized, but did not offer us any vouchers for free breakfast or a credit on our bill. We had prepaid for a 4 night stay. And the last time we stayed we were woken up at […] 3 am on a 'saturday morning and had to evacuate the building in our pajamas for what turned out to be a false alarm. Mehr

Great location, short walk to City Hall, Reading terminal market, theater, museums, etc. Front desk staff are very nice. Suites are a bit run down and could be cleaner. Returned to find room made up but with a snack wrapper (not ours) on the bathroom floor, and a rubber glove (hopefully clean) on the dinette table. It's nice to have a full kitchen with […] stove, full size fridge etc, but the downside is cooking smells in the hallways. Mehr

Stayed here as a family of four on a two-day trip to visit historic sites in Philadelphia and the Franklin Institute Museum. The hotel is located between the museum and Independence Hall - which is near all of the major historic sites. It's a bit closer to the museum (Independence Hall was a moderate walk of 11 blocks). The location could not have been […] much better - especially at this price. The hotel could use some more active maintenance, and a few of the fixtures are looking dated, but overall it was clean, comfortable, and the service was good. The issues we had were very minor - sticky room door and a loose bracket on the towel rod in the bathroom. On the plus side, other than location and price, is the Irish pub on the ground floor. Good place to eat or hang out and have a pint - not your typical hotel lobby restaurant. Mehr

I found the staff so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Loved the kitchenette. We were able to.walk to the locations we.were interested in.Overall the Windsor is my choice whenever I visit Philly. Thank you to the staff.

we were very comfortable and it was within walking distance to the museum , which was the reason for the trip . nice choice of places to eat . good menus and the prices were satisfactory . thanks for a good job .

When we checked in, the hotel staff gave us a paper to read. It said that they are doing some construction and so there may be a little bit of smell but that it is nontoxic and will go away. Well, at night it came. It definitely smelled toxic (my wife is a phd chemist, so she knows what toxic smells like, she also got somewhat sick). We had to open […] the windows to clear the air out. The fact that they are doing this kind of work at night when you are most vulnerable to toxic fumes and the fact that it obviously is easily getting into the hotel ventilation (outside air was fresh), means there is something wrong, and the hotel management doesn't care. I guess they figured no one would wake up and so never smell it. The parking cost more than the car rental. The "good deal" you get as a hotel guest is then essentially the same as normal 24 hour parking once they add the "tax" on, which doesn't seem listed for non-hotel parking. Overall, I was not very satisfied with this hotel. Mehr

The room was spacious and very comfortable, in-hotel restaurants were excellent, and the location was great. Staff were very nice. Only 2 things I would complain about - the pictures led me to believe this "suite" had a kitchen/eating area that was separate from the sleeping area, but it was all one open room. It worked out fine but was not what I […] expected. Also, the kitchen was very poorly equipped. There were 4 plates and 4 glasses, but no utensils or cookware. On this stay, we were visiting family and didn't cook but typically when I select a room with a kitchen I expect to be able to use it. Mehr

If its not construction, its the air conditioner, or a swayback bed. Like most things but when I raise an issue all they can say is SORRY.

Nice hotel, very reasonnable in prices, clean and close to convention center, and city center. Will go back to this hotel if back in Philaldelphia. Mattress is soft, so beware if you have back problems, otherwise nice...

So, the suite was huge. The kitchen is ok but unless you come prepared it would be hard to cook anything other than toast or things you microwave. The soaps are from bath and body works. All in all this was a fantastic room. I had a great stay and it felt like a big apartment rather than a hotel. The only real draw back was that we didn't have a 'do […] not disturb' sign. Oh and get this, In one of the three walk in closets there was/is a stack of couples massage books and porno tapes; I guess it was from someone that hid it there when they had a long term stay. Excellent value. Suites are enormous and very well priced for center city Philadelphia. Convenient location.

For the cost of this room I expected the quality & space of a Red R**f Inn, La Quinta, or similar. What I walked into as I entered my mini suite was so much more..... 3 HUGE walk in closets in the living area PLUS one in the bedroom, granite countertips, full kitchen including a dishwasher, an actual balcony to step out & enjoy the view, comfortable […] & tasteful decor. The lsit could go on & on... My only complaint was regarding the pillows..... They were smooshed flat as pancakes. There were four pillows on each bed & they were literally about 2 inches thick each. I was amazed, shocked & disappointed. Next time I will bring my own pillow, but the rest will even out the trouble! ;) Mehr

My parking fee was 34.80, I was shocked to find that I was charged 84.80, 3 times!!! It took me 5 phone calls, both to the hotel and my bank to get it straightened out.

I love the kitchenette and the close proximity to the market in the Cox building. Easy to catch a bus to manhatten for a day excursion. rates are reasonable. Their workout area is average. . Overall a good place to stay. I would again,

The hotel has seen better days, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are shabby as well as the common areas. I was awakened at 6:30 in the morning to the sound of jack hammers on the floor below me. Great location would not stay again.

I was excited because I decided to go to the Flower show in Philly and I booked a room close to this event. It was also my birthday. I checked in with no problems and front desk was very nice. My room was great! Very comfy with a great view. I was on the 2nd floor. The next morning (my birthday!), I was woken up to trash being dumped into an empty dumpster […] repeatedly. Glasses, bottles, etc. After 20 minutes, the noise stopped. At approx. 8:30am, the jackhammers started. I couldn't hear myself think. It was awful. I called the front desk to complain and they could barely hear me because of all the noise and then they got annoyed with me! I was told they would try to find me another room and that they would call me back. I packed my stuff up, went downstairs anyway because they didn't call me back after 15 minutes and I couldn't take the noise anymore. They offered me breakfast because the head of housekeeping was in a meeting until 10:00am and the hotel was full and they didn't have another room to offer me. I said no because I was suppose to meet my friends at 11:00am at the Flower show and I needed to get ready. They finally found me a room on the 19th floor and it was quiet. They had upgraded me to a bigger suite, which was very nice. I was later told by the front desk that they are building a parking garage and that's why the hotel is so noisy with all the jackhammers. I ended up with a headache from the noise and stress. I've been a Flight Attendant for over 23 years and can't believe they would even think about booking these certain rooms to anyone. I'm getting a headache just writing about it. To their credit, they did try to help me but only after I kept fussing and wouldn't leave the lobby area. When the construction is all done (not sure when), I'm sure it will be a lovely hotel to stay at. Mehr

I did this last minute on a deal, and I got upgraded to a king!, unexpected and it was the best 5 stars, and the guest service was AMAZING definite recommend

Love his hotel and the space in the room. Was blown away by the full kitchen and the size of the room! It's a gem of a hotel in Philly.

I took my son to Philadelphia for school testing and since I don't drive I wanted to stay in a safe location that was convenient to the testing site. This hotel did not fail. It's right on the Parkway in the middle of downtown. We were within walking distance to many hotels, and entertainment sites. We had a choice of taxis or public transit. The rooms […] had just been remodeled and when they say a full kitchen they mean it. It was even stocked with knives. The staff was very professional and friendly. But for my son the best part was the balcony that overlooked the parkway. Will definitely stay here again when in Philadelphia! Mehr

I was awakened by noise of maintenance staff and construction by 6:30 am both mornings, and all day. There was noise from my hallway from maintenance work, but no ability to change rooms. The place is used as a dorm and looks and feels that way. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but this place is pretty shabby and noisy. Don't botther

Stayed here for several days and couldn't be happier with the location. It was my 1st visit to Philly and I wanted to be within reasonable walking distance to the museums and historical sites. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly right from the start, and the room was quite clean and neutral-smelling when I arrived. The kitchenette was nice […] to have, although all I really needed was the microwave and fridge. The microwave was an old model and difficult to figure out how to use! I didn't know what to expect when i was searching for hotels in philly and i came upon the winsor suites i took a chance and boy this is like one of the best hotels i stayed at and having con and murphy irish pub and a chinese restaurant that served good food and drinks right downstairs then after you get done drinking you could walk right to the elevetor […] without going outside to get to your room and it was more stuff around then i expected like subway was across the street and T.G.I fridays is next door and etc. Some of the main things i wanted see was the balboa statue, and to have cheese steaks from the 2 rival pats and geno's it was so much to do i could not get it done in 3 days and im not going to forget the full kitchen with refridge, microwave,stove dishwasher everything i needed to fix meals in the room hopefully i will be back and if i could get a good deal at this hotel again i would be back sooner then expected i took this drive from cleveland, ohio and it was well worth it i recommend this windsor suites in philly to anyone A+++++++++++++++++++++++ Mehr

Fine all around

This was a great room for our family for the price. The kitchenette allowed us to eat some meals in. The kitchen wasn't fully stocked (pans, paper towels, etc.) upon our arrival but a call to the front desk resulted in the necessary supplies. Hotel staff was friendly. Proximity to the Franklin Institute was great (short walk) but a cab ride was necessary […] to get to the Liberty Bell/Constitution Center area. Mehr

The location can't be beat, right on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, near all the museums, but also close to City Hall. Having stayed here twice, once in a room with a view and the second time without a view, I would say that it would be worth paying extra to get the view. Our room was very large, really like an apartment, with a kitchenette and walk-in […] closet. The beds were very comfortable and had sufficient covers to keep us warm. The best thing was having a bathroom with enough room -- this is all too rare in modern hotels! We had a couple of minor complaints. When we arrived in our room, the temperature was much too warm, and I was not able to adjust the thermostat on the wall. Because we had checked in after midnight, I did not want to disturb the hotel staff to fix the problem, so I just turned off the heat altogether. Luckily, although it was February, the weather had been mild, so it was not a big problem to have the room a little on the cool side and certainly more comfortable than much too hot. The second complaint has to do with the parking. This hotel has a parking garage beneath it, but hotel guests have to pay $29 a night, which doesn't include the tax. Maybe that's the standard for all the hotels in downtown Philadelphia, but to me it seems just too expensive. Mehr
