Das einzige was negativ war ist das es sehr viele Schnacken/Mücken im Zimmer gab. Gegenüber in einer Anlage gab es einen See ein Paradies für Blutsauger. Hatte jede Nacht so um die 10 Stück auf dem Gewissen ;-).

Wir haben zu viert ein Raucherzimmer gebucht mit dem Wunsch wenn möglich auf ein Nichtraucherzimmer wechseln zu können. Leider waren alle NR-Zimmer belegt, das Zimmer roch aber trotzdem nicht störend nach Rauch. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, der Einrichtungsstil schon ein wenig älter, aber sehr komfortabel. Für Personen war wirklich genug Platz und durch die Kochnische / Wohnbereich saß man auch nicht zu eng aufeinander. Parken konnte man rund um das gesamte Hotel mit mehreren Eingängen was sehr geschickt war. Das Hotel lag nahe einer viel befahrenen Straße, was aber in den Zimmern nicht zu hören war. Alle Attraktionen in Orlando waren bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen und die verschiedenen Einkaufs- und Essenmöglichkeiten (Walmart, McDonalds, Burger King, Dennys...) gegenüber waren echt praktisch. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes (Bagel Joghurt Kaffee O-Saft Tee) aber ausreichend für einen guten Start in den Tag.

Preis - Leistung dieses Hotels sind einfach super. Man hat eine saubere Anlage und saubere Zimmer inkl. Pool. Ein Frühstück ist auch dabei, jedoch ist dies doch sehr spartanisch und einfach. Der Empfang ist freundlich und nett. Wir würden dieses Hotel auf alle Fälle wieder wählen, wenn wir dort in der Gegend unterwegs sind. Alle Attraktionen sind in bis zu 25 Minuten erreichbar. Wir hatten Zimmer zur Poolseite, welche von der Lautstärke her gut waren.
Lage
Holiday Inn Express Orlando -Nearest Universal Studios liegt in Orlando, Universal Orlando - International Drive North, in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Orlando Premium Outlets International Drive, Universal Studios Orlando und Universal's Islands of Adventure. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe gehören: Wet N' Wild und Festival Bay Mall at International Drive.

International Drive ist bestens bekannt für das Universal Orlando Resort, in dem sich zwei Themenparks befinden: Islands of Adventure und die Universal Studios. Zudem finden sich hier der Wasserpark Wet 'n Wild und die Unterhaltungsmeile CityWalk. Der I-Ride Trolley (eigentlich ein Bus) hält an vielen Stellen entlang der Straße. Am nördlichen Ende des International Drive befinden sich zwei Shopping-Attraktionen: Prime Outlets Orlando und The Mall at Millenia.

This is the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It had no refrigerator, microwave or bathtub. It was called a standard room, but it was a substandard room. We had one adult and two teens. We had to keep out suitcases on top of each other. This room is barely big enough for 2, but it says good for 4. It was a nice location, but I would NEVER stay […] in a room like this again. Very clean,it was sort of small in size, but was ok. Bathrooms were small.they only had a shower. Very nice breakfast, plenty of food, they never ran out.

John, front desk staff, was super helpful with directions, local food locations, & extremely nice! Only one bad thing: no refrigerator or microwave!

"holiday inn express nearest universal"
The hotel was great! The free continental breakfast was outstanding! Fresh hot food with many choices! It was like a buffet breakfast. There was a free shuttle to Universal which we used and a cab ride back was 7 dollars. We stayed for 4 nights and had a great visit!

The Holiday Inn Express was CLEAN. This is very important to us when we travel. The room, bathroom, bedding, all clean and clean smelling. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Disney was a 10 min drive. There were plenty of resturants close by too, some in short walking distance. The pool was clean, heated too, so as the night got cooler it was quite comfortable. There was plenty of parking, the grounds themselves were nicely landscaped, but it is not a "resort". There is a power station nearby, and other hotels, so its not spectacularly pretty, but you arent staying there for "pretty". Ok, so i had heard some negative comments about this place on the hotels.com web site so i was a little hesitant to book but my boyfriend loved that it had a free breakfast so i decided to take the chance. Great thing i did because i LOVED it. The hotel crew was super nice and when ever we needed something they were able to help. we had a problem with […] the bathroom door not closing and the shower and they send someone up super fast, super nice young man fixed it in a jiff. the buffet style hot breakfast was good a plus that it was free. they had transportation to universal park wich we used and def can't complain.(i do sugest you ask the front desk at what time u should wake up to get a ticket since space is limited). the area was great walgreens, bunch of restaurants around it etc. also there are to holiday inns there is one right smake in from of universal enterance(holiday inn hotel and suit) this one is the one in back. I have stayed at this location at least twice a month but have encounter two trips recently where the hotel had no hoter water. Had to wait on plumber to take a shower.

"NICE HOTEL BUT MATTRESS TOO SOFT"
IT IS A NICE HOTEL BUT I DID NOT LIKE THE MATTRESS, TOO WAY SOFT FOR MY BACK, THE FIRST TWO NIGHTS A HAVE A HORRIBLE LOW BACK PAIN, SO I REQUESTED TO CHANGE ROOM AND THEY DID IT, THIS TIME THE MATTRESS WAS A BIT HARDER THAN THE OTHER BUT STILL SOFT. GREAT THINGS LOCATION, SHUTTLE AND BREAKFAST YUMMY.

Convenient to Universal, this Holiday Inn Express had cheerful and efficient hotel staff, clean lobby and eating area, and comfortable room with flat screen tv, comfortable beds and cozy size. The shower leaves a lot to be desired; with the hotel's attempt at an upgrade, the rain shower head had NO water pressure and the lukewarm temperature left a lot to be desired. We were VERY disappointed in the inability to adjust the temp to anything warmer than just warm. Breakfast was average with an assortment of pastries, powdered scrambled eggs, link sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, several cereal choices, one fresh fruit, yogurt, pancake maker, etc. The biggest plus is location if you're headed to Universal. I love the breakfast so much, really tasteful. The reception is very helpful. That's great to give the free shuttle to go the universal studio park. I would stay here again. Highly recommend.

We come to Orlando at least once a year and this is in the perfect location for the atractions and shopping we do. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms make it even more enjoyable.

"Visit to Universal Studios"
It was great to be so close to Universal Studios and the breakfast buffet was great to start every morning. We weren't able to use the shuttle service because it was already booked at the earlier times-so we drove and parked each day-which was just as easy.

"Holiday INN express Universal"
The walls were paper thin, i heard people running in the hall all night and the people in the room next door taking a shower and talking over there tv. The maid knocked on every door on our floor at 7:30am asking if we needed room service. Then the fire alarm went off because a toaster in the continental breakfast caught fire.
the hotel just seemed old and way to used. the bathroom was awful and like a broom closet with a sliding door. the rest of the room felt like the rugs have never been steamed. it was appropriate because of the price but a little cleaner or newer with the sheets would have been appreciated
"Expected More"
Upon arrival at the hotel the desk staff were very pleasant. We were going to Halloween Horror Nights which was very close to the hotel which made it very convenient. Our room was small and had tons of ants all around the vanity/sink area. The toilet clogged after one person going pee in it and the parking lot was sort of small for the capacity of the […] hotel. "Birthday stay"
Thursday thru sunday everyone in the staff was very kind and even the cleaning room staff was awsome they went out of theyr way to make sure we had enough towels and even a kids toothbrush and toothpaste which we forgot. "Clean and affordable, helpful staff"
First off, we accidentally went to the Holiday Inn, which is actually across from Universal, but they quickly directed us three minutes down the road to the Express. We stayed at the hotel after a day at Universal and night at Halloween Horror Nights. The hotel staff let us drop off our bags in the morning before we went to the park and the bags were […] in our rooms when we got back around midnight. The room was clean. I didn't see any mold in the shower or around the sink. We could hear some noise next door, but not too bad. We were close to the elevator and could hear it ding starting around 6 am. Breakfast included decent scrambled eggs and really good cinnamon rolls. I was also surprised by how drinkable the coffee was. Overall it was a great hotel for the price and I would definitely stay there again. Mehr
The room was clean but I had a scent to humidity, also did not have to offer as microwave minifridge and iron, they told me that only the suite rooms are equipped with that but I've previously been hosted there and have everything and this time was fatal, however the breakfast is excellent
