Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.

Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. In direkter Nähe befinden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Stock Exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church) und man erreicht 3 verschiedene Subway-Stationen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Außerdem die Fähre nach LongIsland bzw. den Anleger für die Boote zur Freiheitsstatue und Elis Island. Da an der Wallstreet Abends/ Nachts nicht ganz so viel los ist, kann man - für NYC-Verhältnisse - relativ ruhig schlafen, v.a. im Vergleich mit der Gegend rund um den TimesSquare usw. Ein kleines, aber feines, familiengeführtes (so schien es) Hotel, dass wir auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen würden!

"Great stay"
We had a great stay at the Sofitel. From check in to check out everything was top notch. Location is great and hotel is classy and friendly. Will definitely stay here next time Intravel to NY

"Great experience"
This was our hotel of choice as we were not disappointed the first we stayed there 2 years ago. The service was exceptional and we'll definitely stay there again! The children have requested another New Years Eve experience at Time Square so the family will be making another booking soon.

The hotel was in a really great location in midtown - close to Rockefeller Center and transportation. The hotel was very clean and modern and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
Was told i was getting jacuzzi...did not...in fact, the water was green in the tub i did get...complained...they laughed and told me that is new york. hotel was nice but dont go for tub room.

Service lacks sincerity. Stayed for a couple of nights for a family celebration. Leaky bathroom pipes resulted in drenched carpet/floor. If you are considering picking this hotel for its location, be forewarned that it's located on a street where cabs don't go through that often (we learned it the hard way). We could smell cigarret smoke from next room around our bedboard, closet, and bathroom. Sounds from neighboring rooms were not really sound proof. We could hear a baby crying all night. We didn't hear any from outside, though. Otherwise, we loved the hotel. We loved how freindly and helpful the staff were, how beautiffuly fresh floweres were arrange […] in the lobby area, and how the room and bathroom were layed out. Nice hotel. We had a wonderful time. They had a room ready for us when we arrived from a red eye flight and allowed us a late check out which was very helpful. They assisted us in our plans and always with kindness. The room was very nice as well.
"Won't even think of staying anywhere else."
Of all my expenses in New York, this was the best bang for the buck. Friendly and professional staff made everything right from check in to check out. Had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Bed was ultra comfortable. Spacious room was an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city life. First class hotel!

The rooms were a great size for NYC. The beds were SO amazingly comfortable. LOVED the bathroom and shower. LOVED the location. The restaurant was delicious and the staff were SO friendly and helpful. LOVED the location too. I would stay there again in a minute!!!!!

Hard to beat the Sofitel if you can get a good rate. 2 blocks east of Times Square, provides you with easy access to all Broadway shows and is well located for 5th ave. shoping. The rooms are very nice sized (for NY) and the bedding is very confortable. The bathrooms are marble and have both a glass shower and bathtub. Nice storage and true HD TV (for […] some channels). "Sofitel New York"
Nice hotel, good staff. Stayed there for New Year's Eve but I did not know that in order to enter Times square we'd have to buy tickets for about 350 bucks. If you stay in a Hotel in the same side as Times Square, you'll have access to the street that lead to Times square at no cost.

The Sofitel is a great hotel for anyone wanting to visit Times Square or see a Broadway Show. The quality of the hotel and its proximity to the Theater District is a huge plus. Although we left on Jan 31st and just missed the New Years Eve celebration, the crowds at Times Square were already very large. aesthetic of hotel is modern and attractive, and slightly curving hallways, dimly lit halls and subtle colors are very appeasing. noise insulation of rooms is excellent, but room size is inhibiting. service is less than what one would expect of a property such as this: the principal concierge makes minimal effort, hardly anyone speaks french, except […] for bonzour,and the maitre 'd in the restaurant hardly speaks any english either. free 24 hour internet on 3 lobby comps is a big attraction. the ghost of DSK is perrvasive. overall would say experience is pleasant, but we expected something extraordinary, especially for the price. It is a question of taste, I suppose, but I prefer other hotels in this area and price range. Staff is cordial and helpful. Phone service is at times slow and very inefficient -- incoming callers have trouble reaching guests. The business center is inadequate for a hotel that caters to this clientele. "Sofitel NYC - Made us feel important"
We were impressed from the first moment we pulled up. The service was superior. The hotel manager remember our names throughout the weekend and said hello every time he saw us always asking if there was anything he could do to make our stay better. I have stayed at a number of higher end hotels and would recommend this hotel as one of the best.

"four star"
This is the nicest hotel I have ever paid for myself. I did a lot of research on Manhattan hotels and this one is highly rated but pricey. We wouldn't have stayed here until a 24hr. room sale brought the price into our range. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean. The workout room fully equipped. And the hotel on a nice street nicknamed "club row" […] which is very central. All this made our visit special. Mehr

"Great hotel, great location, great service"
As a person who never writes reviews this will tell how impressed I was! The service was fantastic from the moment we arrived and the room was extremely clean and comfortable, my wife's words - "best nights sleep ever!" Special mention to the concierge who managed to magic us up some passes for the 9-11 memorial on Sunday! Superb!

We loved our stay at sofitel hotel. It's in the perfect spot, a very short walk from times square main area so the room was so quiet. The room was quite large in comparison to other hotels in new York and the bathroom was stunning! We have a two yr old and all the staff were so friendly with him. I also loved the fact that they provide proper rollaway […] cribs not play cribs and also give you a rubber duck and a toiletries pack for babies. Such a great touch. Thoroughly recommend this hotel! Overall we were very happy with our stay at Sofitel. The location is great, the service very good, and the rooms/bathrooms quite nice - especially by New York standards. Don't really have anything negative to say and will plan on staying here again.
