Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.

Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. In direkter Nähe befinden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Stock Exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church) und man erreicht 3 verschiedene Subway-Stationen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Außerdem die Fähre nach LongIsland bzw. den Anleger für die Boote zur Freiheitsstatue und Elis Island. Da an der Wallstreet Abends/ Nachts nicht ganz so viel los ist, kann man - für NYC-Verhältnisse - relativ ruhig schlafen, v.a. im Vergleich mit der Gegend rund um den TimesSquare usw. Ein kleines, aber feines, familiengeführtes (so schien es) Hotel, dass wir auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen würden!
Gönnen Sie sich nach Ihrer Sightseeingtour ein wohlverdientes Pint in "Emmett O'Lunneys Irish Pub", das sich ganz in der Nähe des Amsterdam Court befindet. Oder statten Sie dem Restraurant "Natsumi" einen Besuch ab, das sich im selben Gebäude des Hotels befindet und Sake, Sushi und japanisch-italienische Gerichte serviert. Innerhalb von nur 5 Blocks finden sich Duzende von einladenden Restaurants. Wenn Sie sich Français fühlen, probieren Sie die sorgfältig zubereiteten Fischgerichte und den Wein des erstklassigen "Le Bernardin", das Sie zu Fuß in 5 Minuten erreichen.

Tolles, kleines Hotel in zentraler Umgebung. 2 Stationen (4 Linien) nur 100 Meter links und rechts vom Hotel entfernt. Einen Block weiter nochmal 3 Linien. Der Time Square gerade mal 5 min fußläufig. Die Zimmer sind zwar sehr klein, dafür aber sauber. Das Bad ausreichend. Man ist ja in New York nicht auf dem Zimmer. Sofern man die obligatorischen 2 […] Dollar für die Putzfrau nicht vergißt ist jeden Morgen alles picobello. Die Zimmer zum Innenhof sind ein wenig dunkel, die oberen Etagen sind zu empfehlen. "Laut aber OK!"
Das Hotel liegt knapp neben dem Time Squer! Sehr Genial! Wie Ganz NY ist es im Zimmer etwas laut. Das gehört aber in dieser Stadt dazu. Bad ist sauber und sehr Groszügig gestaltet. Alles im allen hat es uns dort ganz gut gefallen. Zum über nachten in einer der tollsten Städte der Welt passt es ganz gut.
Die Lage ist DER Pluspunkt des Hotels (direkt um die Ecke vom Timesquare), allerdings auch der einzige. Das Zimmer war winzig, stickig und nicht besonders sauber. Das Bad hatte keine Lüftung, was bei den Temperaturen ein echtes Problem darstellt. Die Toiletten verstopfen sehr schnell und laufen über. Und jeden 2. Tag ging die Zimmerkarte nicht.
Das Waschbecken wurde nie geputzt und die Badewanne auch nicht. Toilette dagegen schon. Shuttleservice zum Flughafen wurde reserviert durch Personal, aber leider lief etwas schief, denn wir wurden nicht abgeholt. Den Differenzbetrag zwischen Shuttle und privatem Taxi wollte man uns aber nicht erstatten. Das sind aber die einzigen Kritikpunkte. Ansonsten […] wirklich zufrieden! Mehr

die Zimmer viel zu klein , kein Schrank, kein Platz für den Koffer, Bad in mässigem, Zustand, Reception beschränkt sich bei der Hotelgastbetreuung nur auf das absolut Notwendigste, die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut (gute Metroanbindung, 24h-Store nur wenige Meter entfernt, dem Broadway und anderen Attraktionen sehr nah)

Super Service!!! Ehrlich! Sehr gut personell organisiert! Klimaanlage auf jeden Zimmer. Fahrstuhl. Kaffee/Tee den ganzen Tag umsonst! Super! Extrem gute zentrale Lage! Aber auch dadurch: ständige Lärmbelästigungen! Muss man abhaben können. Dennoch: sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Vom Flughafen kommt man mit dem E Train direkt zum Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und dunkel aber für New Yorker Verhältnisse sehr hübsch und sehr sauber. Für das Geld ein absoluter NY Tip

Sollte wir erneut nach New York fliegen, würden wir dieses Hotel direkt wieder buchen. Lage ist perfekt, Times Square und Central Park zu Fuß innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. "Das Hotel ist nur wegen der exelenten Lage weiterzuempfehlen"
Die Zimmer sind sehr, sehr klein und teilweise abgewohnt und die Klimaanlage laut, aber wenn man New York besucht ist man selten im Zimmer. Der größte Pluspunkt ist die Lage. (ca. 300m Fußweg und man ist auf dem Time Square.

Die Hotelzimmer sind eher klein, dafür zweckmässig und sauber! Das Hotel hat eine TOP Lage, ca. 50m zum Broadway, 5 min zum Times Square und liegt direkt an 2 U-Bahn-Stationen. Gute Lage im Theaterbezirks. 1/2 Block zu 2 Metro Stationen 8th Ave und Broadway 50th Street. Gehdistanz zu shopping am Broadway. Direkte Metro Verbindung nach JFK-Howard-Beach od JFK Archer Blvd ca 100 Min.. Metro + Bus nach LGA ca 80 Min.

This is (at best) a 2.5 star hotel... more likely a 2-star. As long as you don't have any high expectations, and only plan to sleep in your room... no room to work in the room (no desk, a single chair that isn't really usable)... the room is really, really really small.

In a city where $400 a night rooms are the norm, the Amsterdam Court is a pleasant surprise in a terrific neighborhood. A close walk to numerous subway lines, as well as the dining scene on 9th avenue and the up-and-coming 10th Avenue bar scene. The rooms are small, but well-appointed. "Amsterdam Hotel in NYC"
This hotel is in a great location, great value for the cost, rooms and beds were very comfortable. A small issue - the radiator in the room had a tendency to start banging occasionally. Just often enough to make sleep a little difficult. Overall, though, a great experience!

Location was fab, 2min walk to Times Square but not too close that you're kept awake all night. Bed was HUGE very clean and very comfortable Linen was changed daily which is always nice and the cleaner even folded up my PJ's and put them on my pillow! very cute. I stay in hotels at all price ranges and when I'm in NYC this place doesn't burn my budget so I can go to great restaurants every meal, knowing I'm only spending 2/3 of what everyone else does on the room. "Great Location"
This hotel is at a great location but the staff is not jumping to help in any way. They seem very bored with their job and pass duties on to others and stand there to watch. The AC unit was VERY noisy - we had to buy earplugs. Good size bathroom (shower with no curtain or tub) and good size bedroom.

Everything in the hotel was clean and well kept. Staff was polite and helpful. Rooms were small but ideal for economizing on space and money. Saw five Broadway shows and walked to all of the Theatres. There is also free coffee in the lobby 'round the clock and it makes an excellent budget saver to have limitless coffee at your disposal. While the rooms are small and you can hear every peep from the neighboring guests, the hotel is in such a convenient location that if you need a place to crash out for the night it is a really good option. It's clean and not too expensive. The location is fantastic and the staff were very nice.

The experience was unfortunately not good. There was very little hot water, was unable to regulate heat, the staff was non responsive, the iron leaked water all over clothes and we were told that the pay movies were not available but then found out on the last day that they actually were available.

i really wanted to like this hotel, to have found a cost effective, very conveniently located, nice hotel in this part of NY. After a brief stay though, I understand why it has garnered an average rating. It was fine, but has some flaws. Rooms were clean, if worn. Staff were nice, if not overly warm. As others have noted, the standard room w a queen […] bed was a decent size by NY standards, although may not be best for two or more people. The location was great - just a few blocks from Times Square, near the subway, and easy walking distance to many of the offices and sites in that part of town. Unfortunately, as others have noted, being that close to both a major part of New York and a large construction site means considerably noise at all hours. Sirens and passersby throughout the night. Activity at the construction site next door starts at 7a (which the front desk neglected to mention when I checked in). This hotel may not be a good idea for those who wish to go to bed early or sleep late. The controls in my bathroom fell off of the wall as I tried to use them, so I ended up with a very cold shower that morning, for which the staff were apologetic, but there wasn't much to be done. If you need a passable hotel in this part of town for a short visit, the Amsterdam is passable and inexpensive, but not grand or recommended for longer stays. Mehr

I didn't like the two nite I stayed there, it was too cold because the window can't closed, it has the air conflation, keeping the window opens, the heater was under issue, no control at the room, the hotel seems turn it on only at sleeping time, there neighbor is building and too much noise, the rest room so stuipd, it is too big, and the dish spreat […] water all around the rest room, all rest room got wet!!! "Amsterdam Court-great experience"
This was our second time at this hotel. The first time was about 8 years ago, prior to the latest renovation. We were comfortable our first stay and pleasantly surprised at the modernization since then. They are conveniently located just a couple of blocks from Times Square and accross the street from a theater and a wonderful Mexcian restaurant. This was a very good deal for the location. I cannot say enough about the convenience of being between two subway stations. One is literally right out the door! There are restaurants and bars attached to the hotel. Convenience! Great neighborhood. There is ongoing construction next door. I had a room facing the construction and believe me, it's a […] wake-up call. My next stay, I am going to have a room on the other side of the building. The bathrooms are a little bit dated with 80's style, Miami-Vice-like pink and turquoise tile. The shower was super HOT and great water pressure, but the tub was kinda rusted. The lighting in the room is very dim and the televisions are old style. For what I paid though, it's a great deal and I have reservations already for a return visit. I felt that it was cozy and met my needs w/o the pricey frills. The Staff really demonstrated that they want your business. Great service. Very nice. Mehr

It's a small room and small hotel. The bathroom could use some remodeling. However, it's not bad. It was a good stay for the price you pay. I was traveling by myself, so it would have been a tight squeeze with two people.

Within walking distance...hotel felt very small... Room was renovated...but still had a Tube TV... No safe in room. Desk safe ., did not feel so safe leaving items . Price ... You get what you pay for .

I had an amazing weekend but my stay at the Amstersam Court made it even more amazing. Their staff was friendly, accommodating, and very informative and hospitable. The rooms were comfortable, roomy, and spacious (for NY rooms anyway) The location is ridiculous. 2 blocks off Times Square. I am definitely going to return to this hotel
