Als Vorübernachtung für eine Kreuzfahrt völlig o.K. zumal das Hotel den kostenlosen Busshuttle stellt. Falls man zu Fuß Richtung Las Olaz Blv. geht, sollte man schon darauf achten, wer in der Umgebung rumläuft ( im Dunkeln besser mit dem Taxi fahren), da einige Obdachlose rumhängen.Aber das ist ja in Deutschland auch nicht anders. Frühstück für amerikanische Verhältnisse o. K.

Stilgemäßes Art-Deco-Hotel für einen Aufenthalt mitten drin in Miami Beach. Sehr schönes Ambiente in der Lobby. Zwar ist das Personal viel Kommen und Gehen von Gästen gewöhnt, trotzdem noch positive, freundliche Routine.

In dieser Preiskategorie sicher eines der besten Hotels. Saubere und moderne Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal. Einzig negativ ist die Poolanlage. Mobiliar verbraucht und lädt nicht zum planschen ein. Pool ist auch sehr klein. Habe keine Gäste gesehen die sich dort aufgehalten haben. Aber ansonst sehr zu empfehlen da in kurzer entfernung(3min. Fußweg) Supermärkte, Restaurants und andere Geschäfte vorhanden. Von 6 Hotels in dieser Preisklasse die wir in Florida besuchtt haben, eindeutig das beste Hotel.

Hervorragende Lage ein Block vom Ocean Drive und dem wunderbaren Strand entfernt. Äußerst freundlicher Service. Die Standardzimmer sind klein aber sehr zweckmäßig und nett im Art Deco Stil eingerichtet. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool auf der Dachterrasse. Es werden kostenlos Liegen und Handtücher am Strand zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr zu empfehlen für Gäste die direkt in der Nähe des Art Deco Viertels übernachten möchten.

"Hotel hat die besten Zeiten hinter sich"
Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt am Strand, sollte aber unbedingt bald eine umfassende Renovierung erfahren. Die Zimmer sind überaus hellhörig und die Sauna hat ihre besten Zeit schon lange hinter sich. Bei unserem Aufenthalt fanden im Hotel drei verschiedene Privatparties in den Penthäusern mit eigenen DJs statt. Die anderen Zimmer wurden bis weit in die […] Nacht hinein beschallt. Beschwerden an der Rezeption waren leider erfolglos. Das Hotel verfügt leider nur über Valet-Parking (Zusatzkosten: 25 USD pro Tag!!!) und es gibt in der gesamten Umgebung keine Parkalternativen. Pluspunkt: Pool mit direktem Zugang zum Meer und am Wochenende gibt es sogar karibische Live-Musik am Pool. Mehr

Unsere Suite im 16. Stock hatte eine traumhafte Aussicht über Miami Beach. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand. Zwischen Hotel und Strand liegt der Poolbereich. Liegen am Pool kostenlos, am Strand gegen Gebühr. Privates Parken leider nicht möglich, Parkservice funktioniert jedoch tadellos, kostet allerdings. "sauberes, ruhiges Hotel in Miami Beach"
Wir waren für 7 Nächte im Miami Beach Resort. Das Zimmer sowie das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Concierge war jederzeit für Fragen und Anliegen ansprechbar. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr ruhig und direkt am Meer. Bis zu den nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten musste man zu […] Fuss eine relativ grosse Strecke zurücklegen. Wir wären lieber etwas näher am Zentrum von South Beach gewesen. "Ein schönes Hotel der oberen Klasse mit diskreter"
Das Hotel kann ich sehr empfehlen. Es ist trotz der oberen Klasse diskret im Ambiente. Man fühlt sich wohl und geborgen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

"Gute Lage, aber..."
Das Hotel ist toll gelegen mit eigenem Zugang zum Beach (wer da jedoch Liegestühle und einen Sonnenschirm mieten möchte, zahlt für zwei Liegestühle und einen Schirm pro Tag 27 Dollar), leider ist lediglich die Eingangshalle schön anzusehen, das Hotel ist alt, besitzt keine Balkone, Fenster können wie meist in den USA nicht geöffnet werden. Die Poollandschaft […] ist sehr alt, nicht schön anzusehen und die Liegestühle sehen so eklig aus, wir haben uns nie draufgesetzt. Das Zimmer war zwar okay, sauber insoweit, dass das Gröbste geputzt wurde... Der TV eine Enttäuschung; Röhren, eine minime Senderauswahl (für die meisten muss man extra bezahlen, nicht mal CNN ist dabei gratis) und das TV-Gerät war mehr als dreckig, richtig ekelhaft. Wlan ist gratis und hat meist gut funktioniert. Das war defintiv ein Pluspunkt. Ausser unserer Zimmerreinigungskraft waren sämtliche Angestellten mehr als unfreundlich, insbesondere der Concierge, der schlecht Englisch sprach, kaum Auskunft geben konnte und einfach allgemein sehr unfreundlich war. Dies traf auch auf die anderen Angestellten grösstenteils zu. Wir hatten zum Beispiel ein Auto gemietet in der Autovermietung "Rent a car 1-2-3", die ihre Büroräumlichkeiten im Hotel hat und für die im Hotel auch geworben wird. So wollten wir das Auto am späten Nachmittag zurückgeben und haben extra kein Parking zahlen wollen, das Valet-Parking des Hotels kostet 25 Dollar. Der Autovermieter hat uns versichert, dass die Rückgabe bei einem der Angestellten, die fürs Parking zuständig wären, kein Problem sei - war es dann aber prompt doch - die wussten von nichts, behaupteten, dass diese Vermietung nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun hätte und wir mussten trotzdem 25 Dollar zahlen, die wir zwar rückerstattet bekommen haben, aber erst nach all dem Ärger und Aufwand - mehr als mühsam und sehr schlechter Service. Alles in Allem hatten wir zwar super Ferien, das Hotel würde ich jedoch nicht mehr wählen und ganz besimmt nich weiter empfehlen, das Miami Grand Beach m Mehr
"Gutes Hotel"
Das Hotel ist schon älterer Generation. Dennoch lohnt sich ein Aufenthalt. Das Personal am Empfang ist sehr freundlich, ok der jüngere Herr muss da noch was lernen. Die Zimmer wurden stets sauber gereinigt. In der Dusche ist der Verputz lose, das sollte sicher wieder renoviert werden. Der Pool ist gross, für gross und klein ok. An die Beacht kommt man […] direkt vom Hotel aus, man erhält jeweils am Pooleingang max. 4 grosse Badetücher für an den Pool/Beach. Es ist sicher nicht das beste und schönste Hotel, wenn man aber ein Zimmer mit Ocean View nimmt lohnt sich ein Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall. Mehr

Sehr gutes hotel,sauberer strand,sehr grosses Zimmer, gute Lage, grosse Auswahl an Frühstück allesrdings nur gegen Bezahlung (nicht im Zimmerpreis inklusive). Ich empfehle es, einen eigen Sonnenschirm mitzunehmen oder einen zu kaufen weil öffentlicher Strand (Schirm pro Tag: 15$, 2 Stühle: 16$)

"Old but Nice, good deal"
Nice comfortable room, with great feather pillows. The Hotel lobby is impressive. The restaurant was surprisingly good as well and reasonably priced compared to other Miami Beach restaurants. Its cool to check out the Starlight ballroom on the top floor. Very satisfied with stay. On the downside the carpeting is old, the building is old in general, […] but its fairly clean considering this. Mehr

Check in time was a little late but otherwise evrything else was top rate. Location and beach were excellent.. Would not hesitate to stay there next time.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, its in a prime location. My only complaint is that this hotel does require a face lift. The rooms are outdated., but clean.

"Never again............"
The hotel is very nice. The amenities are very nice. The price for food and drinks is OUTRAGEOUS as well as HORRIBLE customer service. Reserved Crib for room and was told when checking in it would be right up. Called an hour or so later to check on it and was told they didn't have one. I called a manager and after about another hour or so one finally […] was delivered but at that point my 20 month old had had it and so had we. Customer service was HORRID. We had issues getting our luggage. We had issues at dinner one night. They sat our 10 top immediately but then it took us 15 - 20 minutes before anyone ask for a drink order then another 15 - 20 before they brought it. Several of our party didn't get what we ordered and when we tried to discuss with management they gave excuses and were really rude. Never again will we stay here. Mehr
"Great value for the price"
The hotel was very clean and seemed more updated than what was described in other reviews I had read. The bath towels, pillows and mattresses were all great! Nice pool area and a couple of small bars (1 by the pool). The hotel is close to the beginning of the boardwalk. I would stay there again.

Good value for a hotel on the beach... pool and beach access are great. Room is clean, but nothing fancy. Only complaints --(i) no safe in the room and (ii) attendant refused to give me an extra towel at the pool!

I was extremely disappointed by all the pool rules. My fiance had to go back to our room just to get the wrist band they give you just to walk across the pool deck which you must do to get to the gym. We did arrive at the hotel at noon and check in wasn't until 4. So we had to change into our bathing suits in public bathroom and keep our luggage with […] the bell hops. The room was clean and comfortable. The ac worked well but the ice machines never had ice. If they weren't so crazy with the pool rules I would probably stay here again. Mehr
"I call this Hotel the PRETENDER"
This hotel is terrible. Its in the middle of Miami Beach area. The traffic to get to the hotel is just unbelievable. Once you get there, the valet service looks like a NASCAR pit stop. Too many cars coming in and going, too many teenagers posing and smoking in front of the hotel. The pool area is like just run down. The elevators are very dirty. The […] beds are lumpy and old. The wall papers are torn in several corners corners of the room. One cable wire is sticking out of the wall in the middle of nowhere. The bathroom is disgusting with one small light to light the whole bathroom and shower. It was a terrible experience. Its old, run down, and was not maintained pretty well. "Further away from South Beach than we realized"
We had a junior suite and the size was very impressive. It had 3 walk-in closets and plenty of room for luggage, clothes and hanging out. The food was good, particularly the breakfast buffet for $17/person. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were on the 4th floor, facing the main road so there was quite a bit of traffic noise (honking) that woke […] us up a lot. The hotel apparently does not have king-size fitted sheets. The first night, the bottom 12 inches of the mattress was just that - a mattress. The other four nights had two sheets stretched across the bed, yet not long enough to tuck in so we were both laying on the bare mattress by morning. They only provide one towel per person - both in the room and at the pool, even if you ask for more. They also will not let you take the pool towel into the hotel, so if you planned to take a trip to South Beach, you will need to pack your own towel. Speaking of South Beach, it is quite a distance, so you will either need a car or be prepared to spend quite a bit of money on taxi's. You are only allowed to valet park (at $28 per day), so waiting for your car at peak times can take a while. However, the valet staff was very pleasant. The hotel was nice, the pool area was clean and it is just a few steps from Miami Beach, so overall it was a good selection. But next time, I will upgrade to an ocean view on a high floor and pack some beach towels! Mehr

The hotel was too far from restaurants and stores but close to the beach. I really missed open hot tub and outside balconies.Not a great hotel for families with kids.
hotel was great, service was great, but the actual was removed from any miami beach or south beach activity (which was to be expected from the location). wished there was more located around the hotel, especially restaurants. expect to cab everywhere if you do not rent a car.

This hotel is too close to nightlife, very noisy. Room was very small and huge closet, tiny bathroom. Not very nice for the price. Lobby was pretty but room left a lot to be desired.

This hotel isn't worth the money. It's dated. Service is hit or miss. I haven't seen TVs like theirs outside of a retirement home. Paint is pealing around the windows. I checked out after the first night.
"Location, Location but hotel needs rennovation"
Can't beat the beach being right behind the hotel. Literally walking distance of a minute. We had bay view room which was nice. Got to see Downtown Miami on a clear day along with the bay view. The rooms could be a little updated. Walls were THIN! Rudy the valet guy was super cool! tip him well :)

bad service, very rude at the front desk and pool area. the place is run down, they advertise on the site that they have beach chairs... and you have to rent them. Would never stay there again
"Miami Beach Resort - Good spot for busy times."
The hotel is a bit North of SoBe. This is a good thing during busy times. It is in the perfect spot to avoid traffic while trying to get to SoBe or Downtown. $10 cab rides. The pool area is awesome. The rooms were a bit dated, but we really did not spend much time in the room anyway.
I liked the private beach entrance for guests.

"Concierge a Joke"
I recently stayed here with my 2 girlfriends for the weekend. We had called down to the concierge to find out if there were any good local restaurants that delivered to our hotel. We were given the phone number to a place whose phone had been disconnected! At this point we headed downstairs to talk directly to the concierge who then gave us a menu for […] another place. We went back upstairs and placed our order fine but I forgot to ask how long the order would take. So I called back within 10 minutes and simply asked how long it would take and the person who answered the phone became flustered, said our order had been canceled, and hung up on me! I called the concierge to complain and to finally just find out if there are any good restaurants in the area and he offered me the hotels room service! What a complete joke! The hotel was decent but if you aren't familiar with the area and are relying on the concierge to make suggestions... stay some place else! Mehr

"Miami Beach Resort??"
This hotel is a JOKE. Where do I start? From the very beginning, the staff treats you like a child. Upon check-in, the person at the counter (let’s call them Alexandria) made sure we knew that only guests could use the facilities and that you needed a wristband to go to the pool/outdoor restaurant. A hotel with wristbands? What is this a Club night […] at LIV? Oh, you want to invite outside friends to come hang and eat by the pool? SORRY! No outside guests allowed. You’ll have to go to your friends’ hotels to swim, be social, and spend money. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend wasting time eating food here anyway. Our waiter (let’s call him Juan) brought us our drinks a cool 45 minutes after ordering breakfast. Thanks Juan! I really wanted to drink my coffee AFTER finishing my meal. Ahh what next? Oh you want a cot for your room? Sorry, we don’t do cots. A balcony? We’re the only hotel on the strip without them! And while we’re at it, don’t order any movies in your room, unless you wanna watch Moneyball on a 4 second sound delay. I couldn’t tell if Brad Pitt was doing calculus or if Jason Giambi was socking some dingers. As for the valet, they’re quick to charge you 28 bucks a day for parking, and even quicker to tell you “we don’t have your car” upon checking out. Obviously, my friend found his car in about .2 seconds. If you’re going to Miami for the weekend, just get a room in South Beach and be done with it. It’s much more A squad that way anyway. Mehr

"Costume party home base"
Honestly, this place was perfect. Four of us stayed in a couple of rooms here before and after a costume party at LIV, which is just a couple of blocks down the road. Check in was super fast, rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and staff was very accommodating. Well done. We will be back.
"The Miami Beach Resort and Spa has it all"
I've stayed at The Miami Beach Resort approx. 4 times for its convenience, views, amenities both there and near by, its professional staff, cleanliness and comfort. If peace and tranquility is what your looking for, then this is your place. If you want a night life, no problem, its only moments away. No complaints from me. Thumbs up. Thank you

"Will never stay here again!"
I travel to Miami yearly, and had never had the issue I had with this hotel! I had a cousin to to visit me, she was not allowed to walk through the pool area to get to the PUBLIC beach! The pool area was for "paying guests" only, even though I was a paying guest! They finally allowed her to walk through the pool area to the resturant outside, only is […] she purchased an item!! WHAT???!!!! I have NEVER heard of anything like this!!! The pool was nothing fancy, the food was unercooked and over priced at the hotel. There are no restuarants in walking distance. Never will I stay here again, treated horribly!! Mehr
"MIami Becah Resort - Major Security and hassels"
This hotel has security guards insists you wear a plastic wrist band to go near the pool. They also insist on wearing shoes in the lobby and out to the pool. It's like having Nazzis at your vacation site. Never have I had to wear a wrist band at a hotel I stayed at nor have I had to wear shoes in the lobby and been scolded for not doing so.
