Als Vorübernachtung für eine Kreuzfahrt völlig o.K. zumal das Hotel den kostenlosen Busshuttle stellt. Falls man zu Fuß Richtung Las Olaz Blv. geht, sollte man schon darauf achten, wer in der Umgebung rumläuft ( im Dunkeln besser mit dem Taxi fahren), da einige Obdachlose rumhängen.Aber das ist ja in Deutschland auch nicht anders. Frühstück für amerikanische Verhältnisse o. K.

Stilgemäßes Art-Deco-Hotel für einen Aufenthalt mitten drin in Miami Beach. Sehr schönes Ambiente in der Lobby. Zwar ist das Personal viel Kommen und Gehen von Gästen gewöhnt, trotzdem noch positive, freundliche Routine.

In dieser Preiskategorie sicher eines der besten Hotels. Saubere und moderne Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal. Einzig negativ ist die Poolanlage. Mobiliar verbraucht und lädt nicht zum planschen ein. Pool ist auch sehr klein. Habe keine Gäste gesehen die sich dort aufgehalten haben. Aber ansonst sehr zu empfehlen da in kurzer entfernung(3min. Fußweg) Supermärkte, Restaurants und andere Geschäfte vorhanden. Von 6 Hotels in dieser Preisklasse die wir in Florida besuchtt haben, eindeutig das beste Hotel.

Hervorragende Lage ein Block vom Ocean Drive und dem wunderbaren Strand entfernt. Äußerst freundlicher Service. Die Standardzimmer sind klein aber sehr zweckmäßig und nett im Art Deco Stil eingerichtet. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool auf der Dachterrasse. Es werden kostenlos Liegen und Handtücher am Strand zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr zu empfehlen für Gäste die direkt in der Nähe des Art Deco Viertels übernachten möchten.

"Direkte Strandlage mit Pool"
Super Lage, aber das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen...Den ersten Tag hatte es aud Kübeln geschüttet, da stand am Gang oben auf den Weg zu den "Penthouse" Zimmern das Wasser (aber nicht im Zimmer selbst!. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet zu vernünftigen Preisen (ca. $15), Kinder zahlen $6.- Kein Luxus, aber empfehlenswert dank der tollen Strandlage.
"Gutes Preis- leistungsverhältnis"
Nettes Hotel direkt am Strand mit freundlichem Personal. Vom Pool aus kann man barfuss zum Meer. Gutes Restaurant, Bar, Fitnessstudio etc.ohne Beanstandung. Kleine Bistros/ Shops in der Strasse. Mit dem Bus kommt man für $2 schnell ins Zentrum von Miami-Beach. Pool ist sauber, Liegen/ Sonnenschirme/Handtücher reichlich vorhanden.
"Hotel mit Aussicht"
Das Hotel liegt sehr schön am boardwalk + Atlantik. Es hat uns sehr gefallen!!!
Das Hotel lag direkt am Atlantik, mit direktem Zugang zum Meer. Die Zimmer waren sauber, und die Betten (kingsized) sehr gut. Es gab Handtücher am Pool und die allgemeinen Sanitäranlagen wurden sehr häugig gereinigt. Wir hatten Zimmer mit Meerblick, aber durch einen 24 h laufenden Motor unterhalb unseres Fensters war es recht laut.

Das Hotel hat direkten Strandzugang. Die Anlage war sauber. Zum Strand geht man über einen Holzsteg.Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und oredentlich. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Parkgebühren sind ortüblich. (25US$ Juni 2010). Ins Zentrum zum Art Deco District sind es ca. 3 Km. Wir würden dieses Hotel wieder wählen.
"Guter Start in Florida"
Wir (2 Erw. und 2 Jugendliche 13 und 15 J.) haben nur für eine Nacht im Holiday Inn Miami Beach gebucht. Es war ein guter Start in unsere Ferien. Die Lage des Hotels lag für uns absolut richtig. Die Strandpromenade (public area) direkt vor dem Hotel war für uns eine Bereicherung (Jogging, Leute usw.) und war nicht störend. Die Distanz nach Downtown […] oder South Beach ist nicht unerheblich, kann aber mit ÖV oder Taxi gut bewältigt werden. Man muss einfach Zeit haben. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis des Hotels ist gut und wir fühlen uns wohl. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und gut; es hat für alle etwas dabei. Das Restaurant wirkt nicht ganz neuzeutlich und etwas kühl und die Temperaturen bewegten sich an der untern Grenze. Das Essen ist eben so wie es an den meisten Orten im Amerika ist. Für einen Europäer zuviel und nicht jedermanns/-frau Sache. Es gibt aber Alternativen in der nahen Umgebung. Wir können das Hotel mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Mehr
insgesamt gut. Bei Ankunft mussten wir 2 Std auf das Zimmer warten. Es hatte leider kein richtiger Meeresblick. Frühstück war nicht inklusiv, relativ teuer und nicht besonders gut. Auto war nötig um das Zentrum zu erreichen.

"Altes Holiday Inn Miami Beach"
Zimmer neu möbliert, sonst müsste das Hotel gründlich renoviert werden: schmudlige Spannteppiche. Nach Regenschauer Fenster undicht, sodass Wasser eindringt: Gipsdecke bröckelt ab, Teppich durchnässt, Wasser im Koffer und auf Kleider. Die Fenster müssten ersetzt werden. Erstens undicht, zweitens können sie nicht geöffnet werden, obwohl vorgesehen, und […] drittens ist die Fensterunterteilung auf Augenhöhe und stört die fantastische Aussicht, schade. "Gutes, sauberes Hotel in Miami Beach"
Gutes, sauberes Hotel in Miami Beach. Die Lage ist perfekt, direkt am Strand. Zimmer war sehr sauber. Leider hat die Duschbrause überhaupt keinen Druck auf der Leitung. Es gibt am Pool nur 4 Sonnenschirme für ca. 40 Liegen! Parking kostet 20$ pro Tag. Frühstücksbuffet kostet 14$ + Tax + Tip. Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.
Ich hatte ein Eckzimmer mit Meerblick, also wahrscheinlich schon eines der besseren, da es relativ groß war. Zimmer war von der Ausstattung her o.k.. Das Zimmer wurde leider immer erst sehr spät gereinigt, so zwischen 18 und 19 Uhr, also gerade wenn man eigentlich vom Strand zurückkommt, ist etwas ungünstig. Auch wurde immer wieder irrtümlicherweise […] an der Tür geklopft und Sachen (z.B. Essen) wollten abgegeben werden, die nicht bestellt wurden. Ist auch unglücklich wenn man gerade unter der Dusche ist, es andauernd falsch klopft und wenn man Pech hat und nicht die Kette vorgeschoben ist, die Tür von der Hotel-Security geöffnet wird (für mich als alleinreisende Frau auch etwas unangenehm). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, war super auch vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Leider sind wir die ersten Tage nicht im Hotel frühstücken gegangen, weil wir dachten draußen ist es besser, aber falsch gedacht. Zum Ocean Drive sind wir ca. zu Fuß eine Stunde flott gegangen - haben wir 1x gemacht, dann nur noch alles mit dem Auto erledigt, da auch sonst in der näheren Umgebung nicht viel los ist. Ansonsten liegt das Hotel direkt am Strand und der Ausblick ist grandios (leider hat es keinen Balkon gegeben, aber das wussten wir schon vorher). Mehr

"Familienhotel"
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Sandstrand von Miami Beach. Es hat zwar schon einige Jahre auf dem Buckel, jedoch sauber. Wir hatten unsere Mühe mit dem Hoteldrucker uns wurde aber sofort geholfen. In der Umgebung hat es nicht viele Restaurants und Supermärkte. Wir gingen ca. 10-15 Min. zu Fuss und fanden dann auch ein Restaurant.

Comfortable 'economy' hotel. More suited to folks who prefer a quieter stay. Location is 2 miles north of the buzz of the south beach area. Attentive staff, clean comfortable 'basic' accommodation. Wifi a little weak for those who rely on good connectivity.
"Home away from Home only BETTER"
I stay in a lot of hotels and have found thru trial and error that the Holiday Inn's provide the best beds second to none. I had never stayed at the Miami Beach resort, but for the price and location I chose Holiday Inn. I am so glad we did. I would highly recommend this hotel. The drinks were great and at a reasonable prices compared to South Beach. […] The pool area was very nice, we especially liked the hammocks that were in partial shade. The breakfast buffet is among if not the best I have ever had. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I came back relaxed and planning my next trip . Mehr

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. In general, the staff at the front desk were hospitable; the hotel was clean and comfortable; and even the food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. Would highly recommend.

The staff was very accomodating especially kimberly by the breakfast buffett, really went out of her way to a help us out. Location is excellent, the condition of the hotel is less then expected and the fact that the windows are nailed shut is really a bummer since you are on the water and would love to have fresh air.

I,ve changed apt 3 times in the same week because all showers doesn't work! My last time in Holiday Inn (I stayed 6x before that).
"Great value, lovely views"
Maybe be a bit older than some of the newer hotels, but for the money it's a bargain. Use the valet parking options. Price difference is $4 and well worth having you car pulled around front for a few extra dollars in tip.

"Great Value Overall"
Came to Miami Beach for the Orange Bowl (Let's Go Mountaineers!). Service at front desk was great, asked for a king room instead of the 2 double beds I had booked. Unfortunately there were no king rooms available facing the ocean (room type booked) but the friendly check-in staff upgraded my wife and I to a suite on the 11th Floor (PH). Room had ample […] space, great ocean views. Hotel overall was clean, pleasant. Only downside that gives hotel a 4 instead of a 5 is the food service staff. They seemed a little rude to both my wife and I for breakfast. Exception being the bartender at the poolside bar. We ordered some food and it took way longer than expected, but he was friendly, apologetic and brought us 2 bottles of water with our food for free when he came to deliver it. With that said, I would still recommend this hotel for staying in Miami Beach. Location is decent as you can take a bus or cab down to South Beach and convenient to get to/from Miami Airport. Mehr

"Holiday Inn Miami Beach on the Beach and Boardwalk"
This is a mixed review. The beach and boardwalk location was relaxing and pleasant, but it is a long way from the night life of Miami Beach. The room was clean and mostly comfortable, but there was an annoying whine from machinery operating below us, the windows were screwed shut and the Fire Door would not quite close without an extra push and it had […] rust. The people were very good and clearly wished to please and the appearance of the lobby was nice. The pool and the hot tub were also attractive and inviting. We were able to block most of the whine with the curtains fully closed, but I like the view of the moon over Miami. In summary, the people and the positives outweigh the negatives and I would recommend the hotel, however, all it would take would be a few thoughtful upgrades to equipment and windows along with some maintenance to step the hotel up a level. "Holiday Inn in Miami Beach - good value"
I stayed here while attending a conference that was at the Fontainebleau. The hotel is conveniently located a block away from the Fontainebleau, and is MUCH less expensive, plus had some nice extras - wine and cheese in the afternoon, free wi-fi in the room and in the lobby and pool area, and a program to replace toiletries you forgot to bring such […] as toothpaste, razor, etc. for free. It had a nice pool area, and was right on the beach. (It didn't have a hot tub, though - that would have been nice.) The room was nicer than what I expected for a Holiday Inn, with a nice tile floor and very large oval tub in the bathroom, and views of the ocean from my room. The fitness center was pretty lame - a small room with only one treadmill and a couple of weight machines. But who needs a fitness center when you can go for a walk or run on the beach! So I wasn't too bummed out about that. The staff was friendly and helpful - they gave me a free Coke from the gift shop after the vending machine ate my money and didn't give me the drink. The hotel was a very good value for the location. I would definitely consider staying here again. Mehr
"Holiday Inn,Miaimi Beach - Great location"
Located right next to the beach with the boardwalk at the back only seperating from the hotel to the beach. Room was lovely and clean and spacious, airy and light. On the 7th floor- nice and quiet. Staff were polite and could not do enough for you. Pool area a good size with pool towels available and an outside bar. We ate buffet breakfast( at the time […] in with the deal) which is superb with extensive choice. Hotel is about 30 min leisrely walk down to the lincoln road area where shops bars and restaurants are or you can take local bus which you get at Collins ave and only a couple of dollars. Recommend you try the Carrabas italian about 2 blocks from the hotel delicious meals and reasonablyy priced. Mehr

"Holiday Inn - Miami Beach"
Although the hotel is located in a pleasant area, on the whole it needs some major renovations such as replacing the carpets and painting the walls. Ceilings look unpleasant and terrible and quite frankly, I would not recommend this hotel to many people.
"Good Value for Northern End of South Beach"
The Holiday Inn Hotel is located on the ocean, several miles to the north of the main action at South Beach. The location was fine for us, as we were just a short cab ride away from all of the action. The hotel does have beach access, however beach chairs and umbrella's or valet parking were not included in the base price. We got a room with an ocean […] view on the tenth floor and the view was marvelous. The hotel room was ok, with a comfortable bed. A minus for the shower, as the water valve required a significant amount of pull force to turn on.. easily could result in a small accident or injury. I had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, and my french toast was brought to me cold. I was allowed to change to the buffet, and that was fine. Overall a good value for those not needing to be in the heart of the action at South Beach. Mehr

"great place"
Stayed here before and after cruise. It was comfy , clean and the beach is amazing. The pool was nice too. It is a short ride away ( 10 min) to south beach where everything is going on. I am glad we stayed here because is was much more relaxing and quiet. We stayed with our two young kids and it was perfect.

Fun, clean, close to South Beach. Parking a nightmare... too expensive. I'd rather self park any day, but that's Collins Ave.! other than that, we had a great time. The tiki bar should stay open later.
"Standard in nearly everyway"
Arrived at the hotel last week for a 3 night stay - was informed straight away that the parking is not the advertised $18 a night valet and in fact $25 a night. Very misleading - be warned. Staff not overly helpful around this. Room wasnt ready to check in until 16:30. Room very small but adequete. Although did smell of smoke (whole hotel is non smoking). […] This did pass after a day or so. Pool was closed for one day during our stay. Not nearly enough sun loungers, and a few broken. So had no choice to go to the beach - which is a short walk - very short and is an amazing beach. Hotel is ok for a stop over but being about a 2-3 mile walk either on the beach/broadwalk or down collins avenue it is not near any restaurants or bars. So taxi everywhere required if you want a drink. Do check out Cantina 27 omn collins for a nice fresh italian bite - about 0.8 miles down collins towards south beach on the left. Lovely food. All in all its ok but wouldnt stay there again due to location being to far north of southbeach and no amenities nearby. Mehr

With so many hotels at Miami Beach, we were confused which one to select and settled on Holiday Inn just because we had stayed at Holiday Inns at other places with good experience. This hotel didnt disappoint us either. We booked non smoking oceanfront room and the views of the ocean was just great, If they would have just provided a patio like other […] hotels nearby it would have been perfect. The hotel stands up to its 3 star rating. Everything from the bedding to the room to the toiletries were exceptional.We arrived early around noon ,stored the luggage at the conceirge,head straght to the beach which is right behind the hotel. The beach was mostly clean and we had fun.Returned back collected our keys and luggage and went up to the room for the great views from up above.Swimming pools was also clean but we didnt go there. Why to go to a pool when you have the beautiful ocean right besides.There is a wooden walkway behind the hotel that leads to the beach and its a good place for a casual walk in evening after dinner. Many ppl jog and walk there at morning at evening so ita safe. Overall a very nice stay. One of the major complains we had was parking. There is a parking garage right opposite to the hotel and the prices are just too high. We were told that single day parking with hotel validated ticket is $20 and you could come in and out as many times a day. That was wrong. The parking garage guy at the exit told we were misinformed. Its $20 only if you park for more than 16 hrs straight without taking the car out...if you plan to take the car out for lunch/dinner or to see places around..you have to pay hrly parking rate..We ended up paying hrly rates since we had to take car out for dinner. "Holiday Inn Miami Beach"
The location was absolutely wonderful, and the lobby and all the employees (except for one doorman) were fabulous. The room was very comfortable, but it smelled like Fabreeze when we first entered, so we're assuming someone was smoking before us. The carpet was very dirty and we didn't feel comfortable going without shoes in the room itself. My friend […] even had a strong cleaner with her and sprayed some on the carpet and you could see the difference. If you can get over that, I would recommend staying at this hotel. Mehr
"Beautiful View, Loud AC"
Overall I had a nice stay at the hotel. I had an oceanfront king room. The view was absolutely beautiful, I just wish there was a balcony to view it from or floor to ceiling windows would have been nice...but being right on the beach was great. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, furnitiure was in good condition, bathroom was a little small, but […] nice furnishings. My only complaint was the air conditioning was LOUD. Luckily I am a hard sleeper. Also they could upgrade small things, like the ice buckets and cups are plastic. I think the room was a bit over-priced but it was the cheapest oceanfront room that I could find last minute. The valet parking was more expensive than the rates listed online. If you like strong drinks have Leny at the Tiki Bar make you a Mai Tai...yum. The outdoor area was crowded but pretty quiet. I spent most of my pool time down at the eden roc hotel where some friends were staying. Their outdoor area was great...no comparison at the holiday inn. I would recommend the hotel but don't overpay for it. Service is good and the beach is right outside and shops are a short drive away. The boardwalk behind the hotel is great for accessing other hotels on the beach. Mehr
