Ocean Five Hotel - Miami Beach

Die Lage des Hotels ist Super, 2 min Fußweg zum Strand und zum Ocean Drive, daher ruhig. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Supermarkt sind ebenfalls innerhalb von 5 Gehminuten zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war absolut in Ordnung, allerdings darf man keine Aussicht erwarten. Wir haben direkt auf eine Wand geschaut. Frühstück war typisch Toast und Marmelade, aber man […] konnte aber auch Omelette etc. extra bestellen, kostete natürlich. Für 3 - 4 Nächte zu empfehlen. This was one of my worst hotel experiences ever. I had a room 6 steps up from the lobby, A/C that only worked sporadically, an awful room without a sofa or a dresser, and maid service that came 1 time during my 5-night stay. This is a sad sad place that is more expensive than the nice hotel I have stayed at across the street for less.

Great location, just about the only good thing to say. Very smelly basic room with not much to look at outside the window. Air conditioner in room very noisy while sleeping at night. The hotel needs modernising but the art deco features was nice. First day the toilet flush didn't work & when they finally sent someone he couldn't speak a word of English, […] so a simple repair job took ages to fix. T.V remote did not work either, so they gave us one that only changed channels & volume control. Breakfast was a joke, some bread, coffee & bananas. We had ours at a cafe near by. Don't rent a car recommended by the hotel. We did & the one they provided us was a death trap. We returned the car & opted for a reputable company. Be warned?? They are called Miami Beach Rent-A-Ride. The hotel obviously gets a kick back from them. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you only want to stay for the location. Mehr

The lobby and convenience of the hotel are its best attributes. The breakfast is a joke and the rooms definately have an odd musky smell to them. Read the rest of the reveiws and keep looking.

Loved Karla! The front desk woman was great. The hotel is in a great location and the condition of the room was good. Air conditioning didn't work well in 70 degree weather and bed was very uncomfortable.

We got a last minute reservation at this hotel on New Years Eve, and we were pleased with the property. The location can't be beat, right at 5th and Ocean Drive in South Beach, allowing us to walk to all the restaurants and clubs. The front desk staff were incredibly nice and very accomodating (letting us get into our hotel room at 11am vs. making us […] wait till the regular 3pm check in time). And the room itself was spacious, clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again for a getaway to South Beach. Mehr

Note to self, if Hotel is located next to a tatoo parlor, don't book! Room was horrible, checked in and left immediately! One of those places that never puts any money into the property but continues to bank on being across the street from the beach. It's further south then where we wanted to be in South Beach. If you want to hang out on Ocean drive, and don't want to bust your budget, the check out Ocean Five. It is conveniently located right near South Beach's Ocean drive beach front, and provides a comfortable, yet modest stay. A great deal for the price, and breakfast is even included!

The Ocean Five Hotel is located in a very great location; very close to the Beach and to Night life area. Front desk people are very kind, friendly and nice. Hotel/Rooms conditon are poor. Small rooms, not so claen; no AC....poor breakfast.

O5 is for low maintenance, beach loving folk! The rooms are simple and homey and have the basic necessities. The front desk crew are helpful and attentive. The breakfast staff is awesome- you get $5 off the breakfast menu per hotel guest and it's simple and yummy! The location is perfect if you love the beach. Simply cross the street and you ate there. […] It's close enough to go use the bathroom in your room if you want to avoid the nasty public beach restroom. You have tons of choices of food- you can walk down Ocean Dr about 7 blocks before heels start to hurt ;) Plenty of food options, and if you forgot anything Walgreens is on the corner (best Walgreens I've ever seen- 2 stories! Has EVERYTHING!). O5 is also walking distance to Big Pink, Nikki Beach, China Grill, B.E.D and Mansion. Mehr

The hotel was located right in the heart of South Beach so the location is great. The parking is an additional charge per day, no pool, no view to the beach due to the buildings across the street blocking the view, and most important of all the bed is EXTREMELY ROCK HARD!!! This is probably the worst bed I have ever slept on (or at least tried to).

I did not feel safe in the rooms by myself. Therefore, I double booked at a hotel down the street - 2 blocks down, Sense. Sense was much nicer than Ocean Five. Ocean Five employees were nice and friendly. However, the hotel was old, gloomy. It was more like a old bed and breakfast type of spot. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The parking is normal South Beach "over-the-top" expensive but everything is expensive in South Beach. This hotel is very dated; but clean. Centrally located on South Beach within a walking distance to lot of local places. We used the taxi service (suggested by the staff) to get back & forth in Miami. Our "view" […] was of the wall but the price was worth it. If your looking for a up-to-date chic hotel; this isn't the place to stay. But if your looking for friendly staff and a clean room at a good price on South Beach- this is your hotel. Mehr

The location is great, but i recommend to stay at a hotel near the Lincoln Rd or any hotel after the 10th street. i found that we had to walk from the 5th street way to north to see nice restaurants and nice clubs.

Tyckte det var helt ok här betalr man ju bara för läget. Har man bil får man räkna med dyr parkering men det gäller överallt på South Beach. Då amn säljer på läget så brukar det ibland vara sämre än så här. Vårt rum kändes rent. Plus med stngolv istället förr inpyrda mattor. Dock rätt trångt rum. "Frukosten ingår" Betalade hellre än sitta i torftig […] lokal o dricka juice och äta vitt bröd. Har man lite mer pengar över ska man kanske lägga 50 dollar till natten o hoppas på något bättre Mehr

Hotel correct pour le prix compte tenu de son emplacement (en plein quartier Art déco) et en face de la mer. Une meilleure insonorisation aurait été parfait mais il semble que ce soit pareil dans les autres hotels de catégorie identique) Personnel très agréable.
