Das Hotel ist 10 Minuten Fussweg vom Amtrak-Bahnhof. Ausserdem hat es einen Zubringerdienst zum Bahnhof. Also wer ankommt oder weiterreist mit dem Zug hat es hier sehr bequem. Es liegt auf der Hauptstrasse, die St. Paul und Minneapolis bindet. Ab Sommer 2013 wird in dieser Strasse eine Tramlinie zwischen den beiden Städten fahren, die jetzt noch im Bau ist. Das Hotel selbst ist einfach aber gut, mit Schwimmbecken und Sauna. Alles in Ordnung. Restaurant (ab 7 Uhr) nebenan.

Netter Service und großzügige Zimmer. Gute Lage, Fahrradverleihstation direkt vor der Tür, drei Schritte zum Joggingpfad, Innenstadt per Spaziergang zu erreichen. Negativ: kein richtiger Schrank im Zimmer (für zwei Personen viel zu wenig Stauraum, für einen kleinen Koffer war es gerade noch ok); Frühstücksecke und Rezeptionsbereich ungemütlich. Dafür aber Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer.

Das Hotel hat bessere Zeiten gesehen, ist nicht gerade top gepflegt, aber sehr angenehm, vor allem weil es kein rundum luftdicht verschlossener Bunker ist. Die Zimmer sind riesig, die Betten sehr gut. Unten gibt es einen sehr netten Pub, in dem außer Getränken auch wirklich gutes Essen serviert wird. Die Hotelhalle mit riesigen Palmen und Teichen mit lebenden Enten ist eine Schau. Es gibt einen amerikanisch-nüchternen Frühstücksbereich, das Frühstück selbst ist sehr gut und ein freundlicher Koch serviert köstliche Omelettes nach Wahl.

Park Plaza liegt in Flughafennähe in Bloomington (Bloomington – Mall of America) in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Best Buy, Firmensitz und Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area.

"Decent place, but needs updating"
Park plaza was a reasonable enough place to stay, but I had higher expectations with that type of name. There could be some updating done. We had a hard time with the cheap paper cups in our rooms that would start leaking before you could even finish your drink. I probably won't stay there again.
"Disappointing this time"
Came back to our hotel room around 8pm and room had not been cleaned at all even though I had called the front desk earlier that day to request extra towels, shampoo/soap, and to have our sheets changed that day when they cleaned it. It would also be great to have a small fridge and microwave in the room. There was also a small dog freely roaming around […] in the hallway of our floor that had even pooped in the hallway which was gross and stinky. This has been our go to hotel in the cities for the last few years but we will likely try something new next time. Mehr

It was a great hotel except for 2 issues. If you are hungry between 10 am and 5 pm you are out of luck. The restaurant closes between 10 and 5 and room service doesn't start until 5 pm. The hotel also doesn't have a store.

The room was spacious but looked as if it hadnt been completely vacuumed in a few days. In the five days that I was there I watched them clean my room 3 out of the four days. If I hadnt asked them to vacuum, they would not have vacuumed nor would they have replaced the glasses or towels.

Nice quiet hotel, close to shopping and great restaurants. Shuttle service was good, to airport and to the shopping. The bar was nice and food good.

This hotel was very convenient to the area that we were spending the most time in. Close to a Perkins and other shopping. Clean, comfortable rooms. We will stay here again when visiting this area. The only downfall is that the room did not include a refrigerator and would have been an extra cost if we had wanted one placed in our room.

The hotel was easy to find and in a good location. They cater to pets, even though we didn't bring our dog it is nice to know. The hotel is tucked back behind the highway which was nice. The resteraunt was ok for breakfast. They had a buffet on the weekends with good food for a decent price. The lunch and supper menu wasn't very good. They had good […] pizza but the menu had very overpriced food. The drinks were also expensive. They do not have fridges in the room, but you can rent them. It took about 3 hours to get one up to my room even though I ordered it about a week ahead of time. The rooms were good sized and offered decent views. We were not given any hand soap, shampoo, or lotion in our room and had to call down for it so we could wash our hands. The room was clean except for some sunflower seeds on the floor by the TV. (We did not have any seeds and they were not ours.) The maid was very quick to clean our room in the morning. The staff were very helpful in helping us with take out menus, directions, and good resteraunt choices. They have a shuttle bus which was very nice but the Mall of America was less than ten minutes away. We used GPS on out phones which was very helpful. The pool was nice as was the hot tub. The pool was only 3-5 ft deep but not a problem. The hot tub could only fit about 5 people. This was not a problem because the pool was empty each time we went and didn't fill up very often. All in all it was a nice hotel and I would stay there again. Mehr
"Good Location - 1 or 2 star quality"
The location was great and very convenient. The cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel was very poor, the hairdryer in the room was full of hair, as was the tub, there were stains of juice, or some sort of stains in the carpet in the room. TV is very, very, very outdated, they still have the old big bulky TV boxes. For $15-$20 more, we have stayed at much […] better hotel quality places. "Out of the way for airport"
Generally a nice hotel just a little run down. It is difficult to find and out of the way but helps with interstate noise. Nice to have in room wifi and nice layout of room with desk area.

"Nice stay for a sad occasion"
Everyone was nice and helpful, we enjoyed our time at the Hotel even though we were in and out going for the viewing and services of our Uncle passing. If we have return to Minnesota I'm sure we would stay there again.
Everything about the hotel was great except the bed. It was the worst hotel bed that I've ever slept in1 We changed rooms, with no problem, and that bed was better but not great. They are way too soft and hurt my back. My body went down several inches and I am less then 200 pounds. Everyone was helpful and the rooms and pool were nice. "The Hotel problems"
I had to call and ask for room service, and they told me oh you want them to come and clean your room today? Umm ya I would like someone to come and clean my room that was around 3pm didn't get cleaned until after 5pm when the maid was two doors down from our room at 9:30am. I didnt understand that at all. Then there where alot of kids that where unattend […] in the pool area and the kids where running all around and my son said he didnt want to be around that,the hotel didnt even see what was going on. Then some of the channels on the TV didnt work and they couldnt send anyone to fix it until the morning, also charged for local calls. Mehr
"Park Plaza Hotel Bloomington, MN"
This hotel is good if you are in the city for business. The staff and food are excellent. Rooms are good. I would not book here if my trip is for pleasure. The hotel is in an industrial park and too far away to go anywhere without a car. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel.
"Great Stay"
My husband and I were in the cities on our vacation for a week. We had a great time while we were there. Park Plaza was a great choice to stay, close to the Mall of America, all shopping and just very convenient for everything. We would definately stay here again.
When we booked it was during the spring sale. Excellent value for the money!

Nice comfortable hotel. Location is a little further away from the Mall. However, the shuttle service was great to get us to and from the airport and the Mall of America.

It is located beside a factory with vapor or something raising to the sky in an industrial area as I understand, Not close to Mall of America as I first understood from the ad. But when I asked they told me they have a sister hotel that is close to the mall!

This hotel is great. It is about 10 minutes away from the Mall of America and it offers a free shuttle service to both the mall and the airport. My room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The only drawback was the TV was older. They have a restaurant and lounge on premises. Food is very good but selection […] is limited. They also offer room service. There really is nothing withing walking distance and I did not have a car. It would have been nice if there was a convenience store to pick up water, snacks, etc. The vending machine in the hotel was pricey. The staff was courteous and helpful. My family and I enjoyed our stay at The Park Plaza. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only downfall was that they didn't have a broader menu at their restaurant on premises. However, the hotel was centrally located so we were close to many restaurants. Overall, our stay was quite enjoyable.

Park Plaza was a wonderful place to stay. I was in town for the Lion King, shopping, and to see some artwork. I also took in a comedy show in Shakopee. The Park Plaza was a great value and a very nice surprise comparing to other hotels in the area. The room was very comfortable and my wife was pleased!

I only stayed three nights here but I will be staying more often now. The room was very comfortable. The TV is a little outdated. The hallways look a bit aged. Hotel is difficult to find but worth it once you get there. Very nice business hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good size rooms that are comfortable and business friendly.
