Decent place to stay, really enjoyed that breakfast was at 5:00 am. Only problem was that the parking lot filled up fast and was limited.
"Good deal for the price"
Thought it was a decent place; clean, nice kid working the front desk when I checked in, room was in good condition. Simple and basic. Not a ton of choices to eat within walking distance but plenty a short drive away. I was in town for a concert at HP Pavilion and discovered how easy it was to take light rail all the way there, and saved $20+ on parking. […] Hotel is two minute walk from rail station and I didn't even feel uncomfortable walking back alone late at night. It is really close to a major freeway and I would guess rooms around back are noisy. See if you can request one facing the parking lot; mine was and it was pretty quiet. Mehr

The room was clean. Nice pillows, but needed to some better towels. Free wifi was nice. The breaksfast was a joke. Not what I would think of a breaksfast.
"Days Inn Airport stay"
very nice customer service, nice and affortable hotels, good continental breakfast, very attentive crew.
"Second Class All the Way"
What hotel only 2 miles from the airport does not have a courtesy shuttle? Cost me a flat rate of $15.00 from the airport, and anothe $15.00 to get back to the airport to rent a car. The continental breakfast is a joke! I went to have breakfast at 7 a.m., and there was only one lady in the room. The orange juice had only water coming out. There is no […] attendant, so I had to go to the front desk to request that the orange juice be refilled. Milk is left out (unrefrigerated) in two glass flasks ... not even in a tub of ice. The business center is kept under lock and key, and the one laptop is chained down. There is no printer in the "business center" (one laptop and they call it a business center???), but you can print to a printer at the front desk for ten cents a copy. I printed 2 pages, and the clerk asked me if I wanted to charge the 20 cents to my room. For such a lacking business center, why not make the first 2 copies FREE. Most of us will only want to print our boarding pass. If it is a 20-page document, I can understand. Two lamps in my room had burnt out light bulbs. The ring on the telephone is so soft (I thought the phone was ringing in the next room), I almost missed my wake up call. If you want to feel like a second class citizen, go to this second-class hotel, and be prepared to pay for your own way there. The only good thing was booking through Hotels.com. Mehr

"Very clean and Nice for the price."
We were happy with our stay. Even though the room was very near the highway, it was not noisy enough to keep us awake. Room was clean and comfortable.
"Days Inn Airport San Jose - cheap and clean"
OK - not the fanciest hotel but cheap and clean. Continental breakfast in the mornings included. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. No elevator - which makes climbing stairs with bags a bit difficult. Decent room and bathroom. Not bad for the price. I would recommend if you need a clean and inexpensive room in San Jose. BUT - they could do […] a list of nearby restaurants and take out places for guests. Mehr

"Fine, but Airport Hotel without van?"
$15.00 to take taxi 2 miles or so to Hotel and $10.00 back the next day...if it had a van the total cost would be reasonable.
"Excellent Value"
Had king size bedroom on lower level. No freeway noise. Excellent value for the money.
"Days Inn"
The bed was very nice and comfortable, the tv was better than expected but I never used it much. The bathroom was very nice and surprisingly very spacious. The room itself was alright, there was a microwave and a refrigerator although I noticed a problem with the fact that there didn't seem to be enough outlets for both the refrigerator and the microwave […] and the lamp all at once. The free wifi was very nice, and very fast. Honestly for the price I paid for the place I thought it could have been a bit better. The desk chair wasn't very comfortable and the towels could have been a bit nicer, also the continental breakfast had very little to offer. Although I would definitely recommend this hotel over the motel 6 I ended up having to spend my last night in, it certainly is worth paying a bit more for the Days Inn, The Days Inn only being a few blocks away from the motel 6 surprisingly made a big difference in the kind of people wandering around. My biggest complaint about the room was that I was very close to the highway behind the hotel and for most people being that close to the highway may cause issues with falling asleep. Even though I'm a city guy, the highway was too close and surprisingly I found myself falling asleep faster at the motel 6 that wasn't as close to the highway. Mehr
"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE"
I booked this room because I had stayed here before and had enjoyed the previous stay for the location. This time, I got to my room and it was a smoking room- I had asked for non-smoking because I have asthma and my request on hotels.com was for a nonsmoking room. I asked to be moved to a new room because I could tell that there were non smoking rooms […] not being used. They ladies at the front deks acted as I was asking for something outlandish and beyond their control. They finally got me a room after making me wait for almost an hour. I don't know who's more to blame: hotels.com or the staff of the hotel. I was very disappointed as I travel on a weekly basis. Mehr

Great small hotel especially for the price. Good for a night or two. Attendant was very helpful.
"Days Inn Airport"
Our overall experience was fine, however, we did share our roon and the fact that there was no DOOR between the shower and the main room made taking showers a little awkward.
"Days Inn on North 4th San Jose"
Check in was smooth, and the young man at the front was very helpful. When we went to check out on Sunday their baggage closet was full and the lady at the desk offered to keep our bags behind the desk! Very helpful staff!
"San Jose Days Inn close to Light Rail"
I was extremely happy with this hotel. The room was very clean and roomy. My friends stayed at a hotel across the street same kind of room double the cost.It was relatively convenient to the light rail about a block.Nice breakfast in the morning help yourself with a good variety.I he stayed in hotels costing 5 times as much as this Days Inn and the results […] are basically the same.Highly recommended and better if you are on a budget. "San Jose Days Inn-near Shark Arena"
Very accommodating to our early departures all weekend--had the breakfast area open as early as we needed it. It wasn't a lot of options, but it did have peanut butter! You don't see that too often. Would stay there again due to reasonable cost and adequate in every other way. Very friendly employees.
"Cheap stay in San Jose"
Great hotel in a convenient location. Clean, well-maintained, and a decent free breakfast...
"Not a good overnight for in-between flights"
We were looking for an inexpensive overnight hotel in between flights...thought the price seemed right so we booked. Wish I'd paid the extra for a different hotel. This hotel does NOT have an airport shuttle and the cab will cost you $15 from the airport for a 5 minute ride. Hotel does not have an elevator- good luck if you have luggage. Alarm clock […] in room was broken and wake up call was late- thank god we set our cell phone alarm! Got to the room and the toilet was leaking all over the floor...last thing you want to deal with at midnight. Overall- would not recommend. Mehr

"90 year old guest request could not be done!"
I made the reservation for my aunt and my 90 year old grandma forgot to request a room downstairs as it would be very difficult for my grandma to walk up the stairs. The employee who answered the phone said that it was first come first serve basis for this. I told her I just made the reservations and it will be 2 weeks before the stay so I am pretty […] much first for this day. She said all was taken care of but when my aunt and grandma checked in they were put upstairs and they said they didn't have any rooms available downstairs. We had to make other arrangements for my grandma. This was my first and last time that I will make reservations here. This was a very simple request and 2 weeks prior to the stay and this couldn't be done. Mehr

"Location and service"
The hotel management's friendly and helpful nature made this stay worth it. Upon arrival, I got the room I requested and connection information to their wi-fi, which is very important to me as a business traveler. Having problems with my connection, I spent some time with the staff there working on it. They went over and above to help me out and make […] sure that I had everything I needed. I did end up getting connected and once I did, the wi-fi was reliable and fast. The location is close to SJC airport and apparently there is a shuttle to and from the Days Inn, but I did not use it. The VTA light rail stop is about 3 blocks away, which isn't bad at all, unless it's raining (nothing they can do about the weather, obviously). The hotel is obviously older and it abuts a major freeway, so if you're not used to the sound of traffic at night, it might be a problem. It wasn't for me as I live in an urban area and it's just white noise to me. The neighborhood is a little sketchy and places to eat are scarce, but with the light rail so close, you can get anywhere (including downtown) pretty quickly. Don't expect it to be the Radisson and you won't be disappointed. I would stay here again for the location and because of the helpful staff. Mehr
"Not a fun trip"
My husband and I were in town for a quick business meeting and just wanted someplace to sleep for the night. I had stayed at other Days Inn in the past and was satisfied with the hotel. However, this hotel was in a not so great part of town and was right off the freeway. When we pulled into the parking lot the hotel parking lot was empty except for […] two other cars. The hotel clerk was outside smoking. He came inside at we approached the door. He gave us our room key and off we went. The room smelled like someone had been smoking in there non stop for the past 10 years. The carpets and furniture was badly worn and dirty. The counter top in the bathroom was chipping and worn. We figured it was only one night and settled in to watch tv and realized we had no remote. When we went to call the front desk we discovered the phone was dead. When my husband went to the front desk we were told that all the phones were out in the whole hotel. We decided to go to sleep was found that impossible since we were given a room on the back side of the hotel where the freeway was and it was very loud. We figured with the hotel being empty we could have gotten a room on the front side of the hotel. The next morning we went to grab some breakfast and discovered that there were a few bad pastries, some bananas and dry cereal. There was coffee, but no decaf, and when I asked if there was any ice water the hotel clerk told me no they did not have water. The milk for the cereal was warm and we ended up running down the street to Starbucks for a quick cup of coffee and a muffin. Overall I was very very disappointed and glad to be leaving the hotel. I would not recommend this site at all. Mehr
"Great Value"
Staff was nice. Room was clean. Bed could have been better but i think it was standard days inn issued bed. The manager Rose was great. she was very help full. We had never been to San Jose and she helped us a lot. They were in the middle of painting the building so it should be even nicer when you go.
"nice hotel. great price"
Stayed here for one night. Hotel was being painted but that doesn't bother me. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was a bit sparse but I went there moment they opened.

"My Stay"
It was better than expected. I would expect that the hotel would do some renovations soon to update the interior. The wall paper should go and the tv's would be better if they were flat screens. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
"clean & no frills"
Clean with no frills. exactly what I expected for a great price.
