Die Lage ist super, ca. 2 min. zu Fuß bis zum Hyde-Park und ca. 10 min zu Fuß bis zum Marble Arch, von wo aus sämtliche Busse und U-Bahnen überalll hin in die Stadt fahren. aktuel wird das Hotel gerade renoviert und es steht ein Gerüst außenherum. Unser Zimmer war im Subterrain mit Blick auf eine Mauer (nicht so dolle). Der Service war ok, die Zimmer […] relativ klein. Für unsere Zwecke, einer zweitägigen Stadtbesichtigung ist es eine gute Adresse. wer Wert auf Komfort legt, sollte sich ein anderes Hotel suchen, was in London aber teuer werden dürfte! "verkehrsgünstig und teuer"
Wir waren über Himmelfahrt und das anschließende Wochenende in London (3 Übernachtungen) Pluspunkte: Das Hotel ist sehr verkehrsgünstig zu Paddington Station gelegen, wo 2 U-Bahnlinien und zahlreiche Buslinien abfahren. Einschränkend ist allerdings darauf hinzuweisen, dass derzeit die circle line (Hauptlinie ins Zentrum) am Wochenende wegen Bauarbeiten […] nicht fährt. Das Hotel wirkt sauber, unser Zimmer einschl. Bad waren auch recht sauber, das Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Negativpunkte: Nichtdestotrotz kann ich die sehr positiven Bewertungen vieler Gäste hier nicht teilen: Wir bekamen nach unserer Ankunft ein Zimmer im Keller zugewiesen (euphemitisch als "garden floor" bezeichnet). Der Kellerflur war "under construction", d.h. dort fanden Malerarbeiten statt, was mit entsprechendem Farbgeruch verbunden war. Anscheinend ist der Keller auch feucht, jedenfalls waren im (Keller-) Flur und in unserem Zimmer ständig Luftentfeuchter in Betrieb. Im Keller hat offenbar auch das Personal seinen Aufenthalt, jedenfalls befand sich neben unserem Zimmerfenster (das sich ohnehin kaum öffnen ließ) deren "Raucherecke". Auf unsere Beschwerde hin, bot man uns ein deutlich kleineres Zimmer mit Aussicht auf den Hinterhof an, weil das Hotel voll war. Wir haben davon keinen Gebrauch gemacht, was im Nachhinein betrachtet vielleicht ein Fehler war. Im Bad gibt es einen Stromanschluss nur für Rasierer, nicht für einen Fön ! Wer sich nach dem Duschen die Haare fönen will, muss das im Zimmer tun, wo es aber keinen Spiegel gibt ! Das Waschbecken ist sehr klein, die Dusche allerdings funktioniert ausgezeichnet. Zur Frühstückssituation: Das Hotel hat keinen Frühstücksraum. Die beiden Aufenthaltsräume neben der Rezeption sind dafür nicht ausgestattet. Man kann sich Frühstück aufs Zimmer bestellen, wir hatten allerdings keine Lust, morgens zum Frühstücken in einem Kellerzimmer zu sitzen. Die in anderen Bewertungen genannten Frühstücksmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung sind eher "schlicht" MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

Zimmer sind so weit OK, das Personal ist freundlich aber wenig hilfsbereit. Das royal park liegt gut 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof Paddington entfernt, der Endstation des Heathrow Express', der vom Flughafen in die City fährt. Einfach Klasse! Mit dem Bus ist man vom Hotel aus ganz schnell in der City. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen,hat einen hohen Standard, ist voll klimatisiert und wunderschön eingerichtet.Ein Hotel , in dem man […] sich wie in einem Pilcher-Film vorkommt.Man kann es auch als kleines Luxushotel bezeichnen und das zu einem äußerst günstigen Preis für Londoner Verhältnisse.Das Personal ist sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Within easy walking distance (even with luggage) from Paddington Station, so no need for a taxi if you take the Heathrow Express from the airport. Friendly staff checked us in before the appointed time, offered coffee or tea, umbrellas and maps and stored our luggage after checkout the next day. Wonderful hotel in a great location and fabulous staff. Breakfast was delicious (and can be brought to your room for no extra charge), the room was very nice, spacious for Europe with a big bathroom and even a closet with drawer space. Wonderful service, ambience and location! Evening champagne by the fire in the parlor, was fantastic. The staff were helpful in so many ways, recommending neighborhood restaurants, helping get taxis, going the extra mile to make me feel at home and comfortable. Mini-bar was well-stocked. Linens soft, clean and oversized towels made the stay even more […] comfortable. In-room internet was fast and reliable. Although the staff was friendly, some were not familiar with the hotel policy regarding complimentary drinks, therefore, missed out on that. I arrived at the Royal Park hotel but unfortuantely could not stay in the room I had booked due to some technical difficulites (a burst pipe I think). After a very long and tiring day it was not the best news to hear that they didn't have any space for me but the Manager was very helpful and had organised a solution already. He had booked me into another […] (more expensive) hotel 2 minutes walk away and allowed me to keep my car in their car park. He also offered an umbrella and someone to help with the luggage to the new hotel. I had nothing extra to pay and everything was sorted for me. "Convenience, Comfort, and Class"
We checked several sites, and found The Royal Park had high ratings. Our priorities are cleanliness, convenience, cleanliness, and cleanliness;-)There was a fire burning in the fireplace when we arrived, and we enjoyed coffee in the lounge area while we waited for our room to be prepared (early check in is possible on request!). The room passed our […] inspection very quickly. Our view was over a colorful "mew" (lane?), but other rooms have views towards Westbourne Terrace, a beautiful tree-lined street. On the weekend, the champagne was a welcome touch. We found the Lancaster Gate Tube Station (Central Line) to be very convenient for getting around London. You can pick up an Oyster Card, and replenish it periodically (Thanks, H!). There are several pubs within a short distance of the hotel, and many attractions a little further afield. "Great hotel but poor room"
The Royal Park Hotel is a beautiful hotel located just a couple blocks from the tube station Lancaster Gate and the Paddington Station which makes it extremely convenient to get to from the Airport taking the Heathrow Express for 19 GBP. We stayed for 2 nights and we were given room 606 which is on the main floor. The reception staff was very warm and […] welcoming. Our biggest issue was with the room itself. You could hear everything that was going on. From people walking in the room above us, to our neighbors packing in the early morning getting ready to check out. Another issue we had was that we were awoken by what sounded like a very loud pipe rattling near the bed. Also the AC was broken and when we informed the hotel staff they said they already knew about it but did nothing. Overall I would recommend this hotel as long as you get a good room. Lovely Hotel, very comfortable bed, nice flat screen TV in room and one of the most comfortable robes and slippers I've had in a 4 star hotel. Very nice touch to have a complimentary glass of champagne in the evenings, cookies and magazines on arrival in the room. A few negatives, I was not offered a welcome drink on arrival as stated on the website, […] which after a long journey would have been much appreciated. Also, I was surprised there was not tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It is the first 4 star hotel I've stayed in, in the UK, where this was not provided. It would have been nice to make a hot drink in the room to accompany the complimentary cookies. Also, the scrambled eggs I ordered for breakfast was a particularly small portion for £7 price tag.
