Stayed extra nights before a cruise and very glad we did. The hotel is right near the bus loop and very easy to get to. Good location to explore Venice from. Great location very close to bus station. Staff were fantastic. Buffet breakfast very good. Room great with nice view. Only criticism is that there were no tea/coffe making facilities in the roomAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
A lovely Hotel in a great location. Arrived from airport on bus which was easy to book on line in advance or you can buy ticket from machine at airport. Hotel was easy to find from bus station and is close to train station and waterbus too so if you don't want walk back from St Marks Square get on the bus. Had a lovely room which was clean and roomy […] and the breakfast had a great choice too. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

The location was great and the service was excellent from the front desk to the Breakfast attendants. The room was very comfortable. I stayed at 4 different hotels in 4 different cities in Italy and wished that they all were as good as this one.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
"Value and Style at the Transport Hub"
This was our second stay at the Olimpia. It has style, good service and value. Because we were returning a car and had a great deal of luggage from a month of travel, we chose to stay close to the Piazza Roma transport hub which provides easy access to all of Venice on the ACTV Vapporetti System. You may spend a bit of extra time on them, but it is […] a unique experience. We were happy to see that the hotel maintained the level of quality that we first found there 10 years ago. "An enjoyable stay"
A lovely little hotel, we had a room up in the roof- compact but cosy. The hotel is in an excellent position if you are coming from the airport by shuttle bus- you can see it from the Piazzale Roma. That meant obviously that it was a bit further to get to St Marks square etc but we didn't find this a problem. Vey friendly and helpful staff and a good […] breakfast in the morning made it very good value for money. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

"Beautiful room, nice staff, convenient location."
This is a great hotel in a very convenient location. Commute to the airport/train station takes a 5-to-10-minute walk. Main touristic attractions are 30 to 40 minutes away by walking, and much less if you choose to take the vaporetto (2 minutes away). The breakfast was OK (big but not very good), staff really helpful and the room was new and really […] beautiful. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung
"We really enjoyed our stay!!"
The Olympia is very well situated! Really a 5 minute walk from the piazza le Roma and the train station. We would definitely stay again!Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
"Great Location!"
Great location! We took a local city bus at airport to city square drop-off point, and hotel was right there! We walked to it! And just a short, one-block walk to the "People Mover" that took us to the cruise ship. And their buffet breakfast was a wonderful, delicious and a very large selection surprise that even had a waiter to refill coffee, water, […] etc... The bathroom was also spacious. Only draw-back was they had two twin beds pushed together to make a king but they should tie bed legs together as beds slide apart on wood floors! MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

The hotel was closely located to the bus terminal and train station, which was perfect for our trip. The hotel was under renovation when we were there. The room was in a difficult location in the hotel, but the room was huge and had a nice view of a canal. The WiFi was available in the lobby but worked great. We would stay here againAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
"Great location and very comfortable to stay in."
This hotel was located very close to both the train station and the bus terminal, making connections easy. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful, the room was clean and the beds nice. We had a garden view which was nice, especially since the window would open and we could get some nice fresh air. Breakfast room was bright and sunny, looking onto […] a back garden area, breakfast was good. I would have no problem recommending this place, nor would I hesitate to stay here again if I get to Venice again. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung
"Great location, watch out fo the steps"
This was a very fine hotel of its class. The staffs' English was very good, and they were very helpful. My room was in an annex to the hotel which did not have an elevator, but this was no problem for me, and the bellman helped bring my bags up stairs. The breakfast was a high point because they had scrambled eggs and a European style bacon on the menu. […] The location is only a short walk from the St. Lucia train station, and can be easily walked to. I wanted to visit the Church of St. Nicolas on the island of Lido. Looking at the map, it seemed that it would be impossible without a car. When I asked at the desk, they were able to give clear instructions on how to take the waterbus over to the island. The cab ride to the church was only 7.80 euros. It was fixed. There is a 20 euro 12-hour pass for the waterbus, and a person may want to consider that if one is moving around Venice. Finally, the downer was the canal bridge to the east of the train station. It does not have a ramp structure, and even though the steps are only 4-5 inches high, one has to carry one's bags up the bridge. Going down, with the small steps is no problem. Watch out for the folks who want to "help" you with your bags. They don't accept "no" easily. If they carry your bag, expect to be hounded by them for a tip. These guys aren't motivated out of charity to help the stranger. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

"Great price for charming hotel"
This hotel offers old world charm. "Great location for pre/post cruise."
This was a perfect hotel for our post cruise overnight stay. Located right across the canal from the bus station, there is only one easy bridge to cross with bags taking about 5 minutes to walk. After getting off the ship we were able to check in and drop our bags, then spent the day exploring Venice. Returning late afternoon, our bags were in our room. […] Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We were able to make our 6:45am flight by leaving the hotel at 4:40am, walking to the bus station to take the 5am ATVO airport express bus to the Marco Polo Venice airport. "Clean, comfortable, close to port and bus/train"
This hotel is just one street/canal from the bus station, very close to the train station and cruise ships, yet you still feel like you are part of old Venice. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and well maintained. The breakfest buffet (included in our stay) was very nice. The room we had, on the top floor, was very small […] with a low ceiling - but was quite lovely and charming with a very nice modern bath. However, if you are over six foot tall you might have trouble with the ceiling height esp. in the shower. The elevator is TINY. never seen one so small, not much bigger than a large dumbwaiter. Overall, I would stay again. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
"Lovely place to stay in Venice."
The hotel was in a great location. We could see it when we arrived by shuttle from the airport and were able to walk over one bridge with our luggage with no problems. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved our room which overlooked the garden area where we ate our breakfast every morning. Breakfast was included with our room and was delicious. […] It was available early enough so that we could start our day with time enough to see everything on our daily agenda. They do have an elevator which was very small but adequate. We would stay again and recommend this hotel. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung
"Very convenient and clean"
We were staying in the annexe "dependance" section of the hotel which did not have a lift and the entrance/stair access was rather drab and slightly off putting. However, when we entered the rooms section, we were pleasantly surprised. Within our budget the room and separate bathroom exceeded our expectations regarding size and was very clean (cleaned […] daily, beds remade and new bathroom linen replaced daily also). We stayed for four nights in September 2012. Although away from the popular tourist attractions in Venice, this hotel made up for that with its convenient access to all transport links. Travel from and to the airport and access to the Piazzale Roma main vaporetto stop were virtually at the front door (or just a few steps away). This more than made up for not being in the centre of Venice. We would certainly stay at the Hotel Olimpia if visiting Venice again. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Very good, comfortable hotel"
As first time visitors to Venice we found the location of this hotel, close to the Piazzale Roma bus station and the Grand Canal waterbus, to be very good. From Piazzale Roma we had to carry our bags over only one bridge to reach the hotel!! We decided to pay extra for a Superior Room and we weren't disappointed - the decor and furnishings in the room […] were very good; in addition, the bed was comfortable and we slept very well during our stay. Our room was very clean on arrival and this standard was maintained throughout our stay. Overall, the service was very good, from the front desk , bell boy to the breakfast staff - all very willing to help and provide advice. A buffet breakfast was included in our package and this was excellent - a wide variety including hot food. The hotel is located close to several restaurants within a short walk including one right next door. We would recommend this hotel and will return when next in Venice. "Disappointing"
Hotel Olimpia is a beautiful little hotel near the train station and the bus station. It is ideal for guests who are allocated a room in the main building. Our room together with several others was unfortunately in the adjoining property next door and was above the Burchielle trattoria. The entrance door to this building was dreadful and lead to a dark […] corridor shared by staff presumably working in the trattoria. It was dark, gloomy, unpleasant and not of an acceptable standard for even a one star hotel. MehrAuthentische Expedia-Gästebewertung
"Average and overpriced near the train station"
Of the three hotels we stayed in in Italy, this one cost the most and delivered the least. We were tucked away up two flights of stairs in typically tiny room (Lillium). It was the most expensive of all the rooms we stayed in and delivered the least space. Only a little shower and just enough room to slide around the bed. One redeeming feature was the […] air conditioning, which was needed in the early September heat and general mugginess. The hotel breakfast offered a good spread every morning along with average coffee. They seemed to assume coffee meant American filter so the brew was pretty weak, although they did give us a refill. After seeing an Italian couple order, the second morning I specified a cappuccino. Far better. The butler seems to be the breakfast police with signs saying you have to eat all the food in the room or garden. I did manage to tuck a nectarine in my pocket both mornings to snack on later. We did feel very watched, though, and not exactly in a customer service sort of way. The location of the hotel is good if arriving by bus or train. No matter how hard you try, though, dragging luggage is a pain. All the bridges are stepped, so either prepare for a good arm workout or get on a vaporetto. We walked, which was fine. The free wifi was good, as well. Overall, I got the impression most Venetian hotels charge steep prices, and this was relatively good value compared to its competition. But I would try somewhere else if I ever go back. MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
