Lovely hotel we couldn't fault it! Service was brilliant and breakfast was Devine! Great place to stay if u are on the way back from Alton towers as if u live in Kent it is 3.5 hour drive home, as it's 1hour from Alton towers and directly off the m1 it is ideal for breaking up the long journey back when your tired, use of spa sauna pool steam room and […] gym are all free with your stay, car park is couple pound and price was cheap at ninety pound double room and breakfast which is a bargain for how lovely this hotel is! When the breakfast queue gets busy, the chef doing the eggs is run off his feet. We stayed 3 nights and there were 2 difefrent chefs. One cooked Fried eggs in bulk while another cooked thesame as and when people required, slowing down the whole process. i asked for 2 boiled eggs. Had to wait 20 mins. One was cooked properly but the other was runny and […] inedible. Cocktails were over priced, but quality was dire. Not up to the standard you would expect from Hilton. The cocktails were too watery having ordered a Daquari and another one. Margharita was not great either. Avoid cocktails at all costs Mehr

Prices are very inflated and as there is nothing else around within walking distance you are stuck. Food is not great, breakfast was always overcooked. Staff are very polite EXCEPT the gym/pool staff who are very rude. Would recommend staying at The Marriot over The Hilton everytime.

Just off the motorway, so very convenient. Hotel itself was clean and comfortable and quiet. Liked the fact that there were plenty of electrical sockets as we were staying as a family and everyone had some sort of electrical device. Staff were courteous and unobtrusive.

Got to have been one of the coldest nights ever in a hotel!!!! Despite getting an extra heater in the room it was still baltic Don't expect hotel to blow you away - pretty drab really but convenient stay

we stayed one night cheking in was ok but staff should have made sure about our booking,room as we booked double delux room and on that there should have been some complementry extras like gown,fruits, wine ,choclate ect explained on booking,but nothing was there, as my daughter booked it iwasent aware of room booking ,we found out next morning when […] my daughter rung us , i thaught these rooms are prepared this way when guest cheks out . we were given next visit upgrade but i dont think we will go again as there are some more hotels nearby . Although Service is nice and friendly staff, the rooms are in desperate need of a renovation: carpets are stained and filthy, windows do not properly close (wind blows in, noice level from street is high), shower & bathtub are old and dirty. Price vs value is not ok

This hotel is clean and the rooms are a good size, the pool and leisure facilities are excellent. Bit of a pain that you have to pay £5 to park on top of your room!

Hotel facilities were really good, nice pool and sauna too. Hotel itself needs to be up-dated and modernised in the rooms (ie carpets have seen better days). The room had good facilities too - coffee, tea etc and a flat screen tv with Sky on it too. The car park is nice and secure and I read before we went that the car park charges are high...however […] if you are a guest at the hotel, its only £5.00 which I personally thought was fair enough. The location of the hotel was good, we used the local park and ride to go into Leicester, which was ideal for us as it was only few minutes from the hotel. Mehr

My Booking was for a room with two double beds & was allocated room with one double bed and when I complained I was told that according to their record the booking was for one double bed.and since the hotel was fully booked there was nothing they could do.

Very good hotel staff, facilities and food all good to excelant. Only 1 issue with the internet costing £15 per night especially in these times of free internet services this is one area they could review. With this in mind i would still recomend this hotel.

Note: The post code given on booking conformation is incorrect and not recognised by sat nave - had to phone hotel for correct code. Despite motorway location rooms were sound proof from traffic. Easy short route into city centre only 4 miles. Superb choice of breakfast items. My only negative comments are the bar tariff prices.

the overall standard of this hotel is very good, as are the facilities, however, there is a charge of £5.00 per night to park your car as a hotel resident which is a liberty and i was not aware of until we arrived

Location of the hotel is in the middle of no where, you must have car. I don't think they have transport to take yu to city. One donot expect to pay parking charge in location like this.Therefore £5 parking charge in my opion is unreasonable.

All the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic and the kids loved having access to the pool. All in all very good value!

In general very good. Staff were brilliant and thats not a word i use regularly to describe hotel staff. Small downsides 1) no bathrobes in room as advertised and a dirty towel had been folded up for use. I'm not a massive complainer so it didnt bother me. Would stay there again.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and quite reasonably priced. You do have to pay for any extras though, including WiFi and parking, which you might have expected to be included. Breakfast was great, with a good selection, although the staff seemed a little over-stretched.

Very relaxing, good service. Great location and easy to find. Will return if ever back in that area

We have stayed at this hotel before and again have not been disappointed. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. On arrival we were checked in within minutes and our room was spacious clean and comfortable with plenty of natural light. We booked a table for dinner which was excellent and great value £20 for 2 courses. Our first choice […] of wine was unavailable but the waiter gave us a recommendation for another which was lovely. There was no sense of urgency at the meal so we didnt feel rushed, but neither did we feel there was too long between courses. My only niggle was in the bar, we finally decided on a cocktail to find the cocktails were not being served would have been nice if a notice was displayed to say that but it wasnt really a problem. We used the spa on Saturday night and again Sunday, a lovely way to relax after a busy few days. We will definately stay again & feel happy to recommend to others. Mehr

This hotel was generally very nice, but there were a few small things that get in the way of it being perfect. 1) The bathroom door did not lock of even close - This was not a problem for my and my boyfriend as we've been together ages, but could be quite embarrassing if it was a new couple or friends staying in the room. 2) We were charged for breakfast […] twice on check out, and for 2 dinners, even though we only had one. this was however sorted out very easily and efficiently at check out. 3) It is a shame you have to pay £5 per day for parking - especially as this is not noted anywhere on booking confirmation, but as I had read reviews, I was expecting this. 4) This hotel is next to the motorway so be prepared to hear a little bit of traffic noise! 5) This is a really silly little thing... but the room just seemed a little crowded. The bed was almost touching the sofa at the end which made it a bit of a squeeze, there was also a huge desk (which I understand is useful for business people) and a coffee table. Other than these small points, the hotel was very nice. It was clean, well kept and friendly staff. However, I would probably say this was on par with a holiday inn - and there is one of these down the road which could possibly offer better value! Mehr

Stay here often. The staff are friendly and helpful. the gym and pool are more then adequarte. Dependant on the room you are booked into can make the difference from a really good stay to a average one. Will stay there again but may take a look at one for the competitors next time I am there. Arrived early for a 1 night stay. Staff very helpful indeed, used facilities before room was ready. Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast. Only down point was having to pay for parking (only £5.00 a night but still a bit of a surprise).

We stayed here for a friends wedding, there is not much around the hotel we used only for a stop over. The hotel seems nice place, front desk staff friendly and room was clean and comfortable. The quality of the breakfast was as usual nice, however the breakfast staff were not very helpful when there were some other guest swearing and talking about […] sex very loudly during breakfast. The staff did not do anything despite the guests getting louder and louder. Another guest did go over and speak to them but they then became rude with the other guest, the staff still did nothing. Perhaps some further staff training is required and a more proactive manager. - very dissapointing end to a lovely weekend. Mehr

A good hotel that we got at a very reasonable rate. We were however disappointed to find that we would have to pay for onsite parking, which we were unaware of, but this was waived at check-in when we explained this. Some faults in bathroom, leaking tap and no plug, which reception staff dealt with quickly but maintence failed to solve the leaks.

Staff are friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Gym and swimming pool were good. Will be staying there again.
