We stayed two nights at the Four Points Sheraton around the block and our experience at the Marriott was like night and day. The Sheraton staff was rude, there were little amenities. When we switched to the Marriott it was wonderful. Everyone was nice. They even brought up a toy for our infant with the pack and play. We enjoyed it! The staff was very friendly, and everything "worked", i.e., TV, hair-dryer, iron, coffee maker, frig. The only suggestion would be to add a microwave.

Good hotel in center city near city hall, avenue of the arts and lots of bars and restaurants. Front desk was very friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out. Only problem was extremely slow and small elevators. Due to large crowds it took forever to get elevator. Used stairs during rest of stay when possible. Staff was unable to provide directions or information to surrounding area. Lighting in hotel room was not functioning nor was the air conditioning. When asking a question to the guest services representative I was told good luck as they had 4 weddings at the hotel that weekend that I was not apart of.

Very nice hotel. Very nice staff. Breakfast buffet was way overpriced and ultimately the food was so so. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Must go to Reading terminal market.

Everything was fine in the hotel, nothing wrong nothing outstanding. The staff was very mechanical, they had limited information to help us but did try. The room was clean, the tub bottom was aged and appeared dirty but it was clean. Location is OK. I would prefer being closer to more attractions but everything was walkable. Hotel is very clean. Room decor could use some updatting. Location was convenient for getting around downtown. Major attractions were within a good walking distance. Only downside is the sound of police and fire dept. sirens throughout the night.

I was told by the concierge that this was the largest as well as one of the oldest historic hotel in the United States. It sits right next to the awesome City Hall and is walkable both to the Art Museum(s) and the Old City areas with Indepedence Hall and other travel destination. You are one block from Reading Terminal for a quick and unique food option […] for a diverse group of diners. And, if you are looking for higher quality sit down, you are two blocks from the trendy 13th street area with options of all types. With all all of these options you should probably avoid the in-house restaurant which has few notable options and really no panache. Service across the board in the hotel was excellent! Mehr

Not only was the hotel clean, comfortable and modern but it was easy to get to. The valet parking was fast and congenial. The shopping was close and abundant and attractions were were within walking distance. We were able to leave the stressfull world behind. We enjoyed this hotel immensely.

Lovely hotel. Very comfortable and clean room. One block from Reading Terminal Market.

Great location. Perfect pool for little kids. No concierge but hotel staff was VERY helpful in pointing us to the right places to eat with a family.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Philly. Walking access to nearly every attraction. Large, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Excellent location for sightseeing. One thing we did not expect was the high price of parking (not included with hotel). We are planning to use this hotel again next year!

The room was comfortable and clean, with a nice view on both old and new architecture. Staff was friendly. A chief drawback was the unavailability of acceptable restaurants in the area (especially for me, a vegetarian). Mostly they were fast food places. Food and drink at the hotel were inordinately expensive. I ended up eating at the same little Indian […] place (food was o.k., but no atmosphere, mostly buffet and take-out) for lack of other choices. Mehr

Very nice hotel. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately, it was not included with the room. Hotel is conveniently located in Center City and is assessable to public transportation. Room was very comfortable. Overall the stay was fantastic. Everyone was very helpful and would answer our questions when we had them. Being from a small town in Missouri we were over whelmed with the cost of everything. The food was great and service was second to none but $90 to park your car was not planned. I did tip but didn't know if it was enough or too much. The sights […] were great and to see history in front of you was worth it. Just wish we had more money. Didn't plan on some of the costs. We would come back and see the rest we didn't get to see. We were very happy with our one night stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the price was competitive, the location was good, and the room was comfortable and well kept. My only complaint would be that the bed was too soft for me, but I usually like VERY firm beds. Everyone else said they were comfortable in the beds. We would stay here a […] gain. Mehr

Need to revamp Valet parking system of do away with it. 45min wait during busy time.

The hotel was fine, clean with pleasant staff but overpriced. It offered no amenities (ie. room service (which we knew) or in room movies) We wish we would of spent the extra $40 to stay around the corner at the full service Marriott or $100 less to stay at the Holiday Inn express down the street.... It was a disappointing to spend so much for so l […] ittle. Mehr

This hotel is right across from the old City hall and is a historical property itself. Clean, well maintained historic property right in the middle of the action in Philadelphia. Staff was most helpful. Parking is a bit steep at $36.00 a day but an excellent stay!

The location is great for just about any activity in Philly. The hotel is in a beautiful old building with great public spaces and high ceilings. We had a spacious corner room with windows on two walls. The front desk staff was friendly but could have been a bit more efficient.

Excellent Hotel. Valet parking is great. Just across the street from historic City Hall. Plenty to do!

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Philly on the weekend of June 10th and it was a very pleasant experience! We could walk to the local market, restaurants and the subway. The hotel was very nice inside and the room was cozy! I would definitely stay again!

No issues with this place! Perfect location (right next to City Hall, $5 tour bus stops right in front of hotel). Great, friendly staff/service. Quick, easy check-in/check-out. And they had no probelm holding our bags for several hours after check-out. So the views aren't that great, but most people don't go to a hotel in Philadelphia for the view […] (not me atleast)! Would definitely stay there again if ever go back to Philly and definitely recommend. Mehr

The staff & hotel itself were excellent. Valet service was beyond exceptional & they helped us obtain items left in vehicle in error by the kids! Valets helped with directions more than once.

Front desk service was fantastic and every restaurant recommendation was perfect. This hotel is centrally located so you can walk to almost everything you'd like to see and do in Philadelphia. We felt safe walking around in the evening and explored the city with no issues. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, paying a little more up front for the breakfast is worthwhile and overall a good hotel. The downside was the whirlpool was so murky, I wouldn't let my dog in it and the parking was atrocious....$38/day plus $7.00 valet tax.

What a great location! Very near The Reading Market, the Convention Center, great shopping and restaurants. The rooms are nice and the beds are very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was fabulous! My hat off to the chefs - all the food and particularly the eggs were great! The wait staff was very nice also. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

From the moment we opened our curtains to see the upclose view of City Hall, we knew we were in a great location. Close to almost everything, comfortable beds, and a great historic building made this one of our favorite hotels.

The Court Yard in Philly was a very nice hotel, the only down side was a small spot of blood on one of the pillows cases.

This was a great hotel in a great location across from City Hall in Philadelphia. Of course, being directly in the city, you face city traffic congestion and people and smells of the city also. This hotel is convenient to major bus routes and is a good walking distance to the historic district. The Reading Terminal market is just around the corner. […] The hotel has a pool, restaurant, and meeting facilities. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It was a relaxing place to return to at the end of the day of sightseeing. I would recommend this hotel to those going into Philadelphia for both business and pleasure. Mehr

Great hotel. Very convenient for seeing the sites. Parking is expensive so avoid it if you can.

The hotel is located right in Center City near the Town Hall and is convenient for everything...especially Reading Market! It is in a fine old building, providing more gracious surroundings than might be expected. The one problem we had with the friendly front-desk staff was that they did not know anything about the city. For information on what's open […] late nearby to the closest public transit, we had to turn to the internet...luckily available in our beautiful room! Mehr

We loved the location of this hotel and the fact it was an historic structure (City Hall Annex). Everyone who worked in the hotel was friendly. A big negative for tourists is the fact that there is no seperate concierge. The front desk is for questions and we found them not very knowledgable about Philly and happenings there. They could only look things […] up on computer and as they were checking people in and out this did not work well. Mehr

Convenient location in downtown center city. Great for business travelers. For tourists, hotel is midway between art museum and historical sites.
