Super: Universal Studios und Adventure Island sind beide in nur 15 min zu Fuss erreichbar. (Hotel bittet jeweils morgens und abends je einen Shuttlebus) Nicht so super: Zu wenig Sitzgelegenheiten beim Frühstück. Zudem Essenszeit nur bis 9 Uhr. We stayed here for the good rates, and were within a 5 minute walk to Doubletree and the other premier hotels and also the awesome Ale House (try the chicken twisters - yummi). The staff at the front desk were awesome, though the sales desk BS'd us by telling us that their tickets were the same cost as at the gate of Universal. Universal gate was cheaper. […] They also pushed for us to get a 2 day pass saying it takes 28 hours to get thru the two parks. Well we bought the 1 day pass and we were on and off ALL the rides in both parks by 3PM and were heading back to Island of adventure to ride some again. But if we bought the two day pass we would've been bored out of our mind. Granted we did go to Universal on a Tuesday and there were few people there. Also the sales desk told us it was a 15 minute walk. Me and my friends are in marathon shape, it still took us 30 minutes to get there. Lastly they told us that since we are staying in a hotel close to Universal we'd get in at 8, another lie, we arrived at 8:15 and we weren't allowed in until 9, only guests staying in Universal itself at the expensive premier hotels were allowed early entry. So in summation; I would recommend La Quinta but don't go buy your tickets from the liars at the sales desk for any parks. PS - our room smelled like someone smoked in it, it was mild so we didn't complain and the windows opened, that was nice. Mehr

Fairly clean. Beds confy. Rooms ckose to motorway so a bit noisy and also a bit dark and stuffy. Close to universal though. Breakfast quality not great and not enough tables. Ok for a couple of nughts and for the money though.

Hotel was clean and convenient. Needed a room before leaving to go back to CT. Our rooms were clean. Front desk clerk was very accommodating. Originally gave me 3rd floor for both rooms and when I requested changing to 1st floor he said SURE no problem. There were 6 of us so we had quite a bit of stuff to bring in and out. We stayed at this hotel to go to Universal Studios. The location was perfect. We took the free shuttle into the park and were able to walk a little over a mile back to the hotel when we were finished. When we got to the hotel, we found that the cable tv didn't work and there was a barking dog in the room below us. We told the front desk on our way to […] dinner, and when we were back, the tv was working and we never heard the dog again. They were very attentive to their guests. I am so glad that we stayed here. There's also a great mall (millenia) and outlet mall not far from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I knew who was headed to Orlando. Mehr

My stay was very pleasurable.The manager on the weekend of April 21 and 22 was very...nice a pleasure to talk with and ask questions.We woke up late and he was very understanding and give us extra time to get yourselves together.Will recommand anyone to stay there.

The hotel was close to everything and clean. Its a great location if you have dogs,there is plenty of places to walk them. Breakfast was fine, nothing fancy but enough to hold you over to lunch. We would definitely stay there again.

The inn was excellent for the price paid. The rooms were spacious and the beds were nice. The continental breakfast was good. There was fruit, bagels,cereral,boiled eggs,pastries,and waffles. The only downfall to the inn is the view from the window.nothing worth seeing.Over all it is a great place to stay.

Nice enough place if you are looking for somewhere close to Universal Studios - 15 min. The downside of this place is its staff -The Manager that checked us in was not very cheerful and unhelpful and the lady that works in the breakfast area was also very rude- when we arrived for breakfast we greeted her and she just looked us up and down and carried […] on sweeping ,when told there was no milk left all she said was "I know" signed and stormed off. A very nice, mid-price hotel very close to Universal. Some of the most comfortable beds we've ever encountered in a hotel. Great black-out curtains and good sound-proofing allowed us to sleep in. My only criticism would be having to fight the crowd for a pretty bare-bones breakfast that is only served until 9 AM. Most mornings we opted for McDonald's […] -- located a half mile away. Mehr

cheap, clean and perfect if you don't plan to spend tonnes of time in your room. Also has a nice pool and an okay (not great) breakfast selection.

Other then the rude drivers in Orlando, we liked the hotel. Out-of-towners should be aware that they can be run-down by FL drivers.

My husband and I stayed at the la Quinta universal studios for 3 nights while visiting Orlando and attending a family wedding. The hotel had a free shuttle to universal, helpful staff, decent breakfast, and most importantly, was clean and quiet. Our room had a mini-fridge and microwave, which was perfect for storing and re-heating leftovers. Only complaint […] was the pool faces the parking lot (not very private). Room was warm when we arrived at 2:30-3pm. Laying down on the bed to rest, saw a cockroach crawling on the wall and then another one on floor. My son and I left and my daughter stayed behind and nobody came up to do anything about it after I called. Did not make for a good night sleep knowing that there was cockroaches in room. The next day, I went […] to get a diet coke and it was empty and the machine only gave me 1.15 backinstead of 1.25 so I went to front desk and the girl at the front desk with out even looking at me reach in a gave me a dime . when I asked her if the machine was empty of diet coke, she schrugged her shoulders. no response. and you want me to come back!!!! And you might ask why didn't I leave, because there was a cheerleading contest in area and all rooms were booked. Mehr

Cockroaches, poor service from the night staff, unreliable electronic-key door locks that required rekeying several times, below-average continental breakfast, and poor coffee (both in room and in lobby). It was inexpensive relative to the on-property resort hotels and it was convenient to Universal Studios, but we wish we had've spent a little more […] to avoid feeling "slimy" when we were there. I'm a frequent traveler and know what to expect from economy-line hotels. The issues I listed above, when taken altogether, leave me with a negative conclusion from our stay at this one. Mehr

Good Hotel. A confortable and clean room. The hotel has a good breakfast and free parking. There are few negative points: - There is a risk of not having a seat during the breakfast. - I faced some troubles regarding internet wi-fi.

This was our first trip with our new puppy and the hotel really accommodated us. The staff was very friendly and the hotel snd rooms did not smell like animals. If it wasn't for another couple that we saw with a dog I would of thought we were the only ones with a pet. The breakfast was also good. Will stay here again!!

You get what you pay for. I got a great rate, but bad customer service at this hotel. I booked two rooms, months in advance for my trip, assuming they'd be next to each other (hoping, because my inlaws were going to help watch my kids). They booked our rooms at complete opposite ends of the hotel. When asked to be moved I was told they didn't have anyone […] to clean a room to be able to move us.I also had to listen to the front desk person grumble about new staff and bad computer system. I'd also requested a crib via e-mail, and phone, and was told when I arrived I probably wouldn't get one. I did finally get one. At breakfast hotel staff turned a T.V. on right above my family's table- really loud volume. I asked the other family next to us if they wanted it on- we all agreed we didn't want/need it. I shut it off. The staff came back and turned it on. I went to the desk to explain I didn't want my children hearing the news (which happened to be about a school shooting). He kindly shut it off again for me. The rooms were satisfactory- they need remodeled badly- stains and broken tile, etc. The best thing about it is the location to Universal. Mehr

great location, clean, the price was right. decent cont. breakfast.

We read the reviews before booking, and saw a few that were negative.....don't believe them, this is a great place with a nice staff and breakfast. Would use it again in a minute.

Very good deal for the price. The room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint is no fridge or microwave.

The hotel lobby and the room were very clean. The pool was NOT at all. Even after I informed the front staff that the pool was dirty, the person who came out to clean put in minimal effort. Parking was ample and the location was great since we were visiting Universal Studios (literally down the street from the hotel). Overall, a fine stay. For the money, […] I can't complain. Mehr

We stayed 3 nights while visiting Universal, and this location was so convenient. Every hotel employee we came into contact with was pleasant and helpful. The rate was fantastic given it's location, and while it's no luxury hotel, the in room mini-fridge and microwave plus 2 queen beds make it worth every penny. My only real complaint was how uncomfortable […] the bed was. Mehr

We liked the location of the hotel to Universal Studios. It was about a 1/2 mile away. The lobby was under construction so dust was everywhere. The room was comfortable but not very pleasing to the eye. We had stayed at a hotel in Tampa which was cheaper per night and much nicer.

This hotel was VERY VERY nice. It was clean and affordable and I would stay there again if I needed to! I have nothing bad to say about this place, if you're looking for a room for just a couple nights I highly recommend here.

Always nice hotel, excellent location, have a shuttle to Universal, and breakfast, very pet friendly hotel.

Room was damp and smelled musty. Breakfast was sparse. Location was very good.

Hotel is nice, with big room, and amenities, but you really need to have a car to get to the Park. It may take about 45-50 mins walking to the Park. They have basic breakfast, and free parking. Friendly staff.

This hotel was accross the street from Universal Studios but, the Hotel also provided free transportation, good continenental breakfast. The best part was that my two dogs were very comfortable with their free accomodations.
