nach 1 Woche Wales mit Urlauberhotels + B&Bs (es gibt nichts anderes) war dieses Hotel ein wahrer Genuss.

Dreadful place, went for Christmas event and stayed afterwards, absolutely abysmal. Never again!!

Excellent hotel and service, Ideal location for the city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

stayed at this hotel on 19th November, the shower was all moldy and teh bed was like a brick, and the wall paper was all coming off, the furniture was missing draws i could go on and on, would never stay at this hotel again, i have stayed in much better 3 star hotels for a fraction of the price of the Hilton

Perfect destination when Christmas shopping in Cardiff. Comfy beds, lovely room and helpful staff. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails in the bar too. Have stayed before and will do so again. Diolch yn fawr iawn

Visited Cardiff with a friend for birthday. Treat away and have nothing but good to stay about the Hilton . Super room over looking the castle,had ex room which made our stay even better as breakfast,afternoon tea and pre dinner drinks was a great idea. Make sure you do millenium stadium tour as that was great and lunch at the bay is a must.

Good hotel only issue was the noise from the street as a result of people (not hotel guests) shouting in the street until 3am in the morning. This may be just because the room was street facing.

Perfectly located by the most amazing shopping and bars. From arrival and greeting by the kindly doorman (in horrendous rain, but he still smiled), to your car being parked to the room - all brilliant. Although it's so city central, the rooms are very quiet. An intended quick meal in the Steam Bar with my son turned into a long evening as it was so […] relaxed. Excellent quality and food. Great value for money. Bar service a little iffy.

My daughter and I stayed here for the weekend in a twin room. We loved it. The room was spacious and well appointed with 2 queen sized beds which were extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great and the swimming pool etc, a real asset. It's position couldn't be faulted, allowing us to go everywhere on foot. If I had to offer criticism it would […] the parking provision ( we actually parked independently at Capitol shopping centre for 15GBP for the weekend). They did not provide robes ( niusance for swimming pool use). The manager/ supervisor of the breakfast buffet was noticeably rude to her staff and engaged in table rearranging when we and others were still trying to eat breakfast. Shame! Mehr

Cardiff Hilton is definitely not a 5 star hotel experience. You realise it when you pull into their narrow driveway when the concierge comes up to you and asks you if you have stayed here before. Its very unlikely one would ever come back to stay there. There is an additional parking charge which will be levied from you when you check in. The car park […] is a fair distance away from the hotel and every time you need your car the concierge will have to go and get it for you which can be a wait. The carpets in the room and stains on it. Overall this is not a hotel we will go back to stay. Mehr

Married accross the road, booked the Hilton, let me check in early, upgrded us, and a complimentry bottle of bubbly........pitty I was only staying for one night, would book this Hotel over and over, staff where great...................

We had a lovely staff in Cardiff, made all the better by the comfortable stay at the Hilton. very good hotel however a little disappointing as a 5star. the room was good and clean but could have done with a little extra. would have been fine as a 4 star but was lacking a little something as a 5. parking is expensive at £17 a day 2 July 2011 and there is no easy access, they drive your car away somewhere to park and bring back when required. service […] was very good, friendly and helpful. lovely spot just outside the castle and grounds and handy for shops, bars, restaurants and clubs. Do not stay in the inner rooms as if there is a fucntion on in the inner hall you will not sleep untill it has ended!!!!!!! NOT 5 STAR ROOMS !!

Excellent location and good service. On the minus side internet for a day will cost you £15 (while even youth hostels provide it for free) and there is no complementary tea/coffee facilities! Also the cleaning staff knocked on my door at 8am to offer cleaning which I thought was a bit excessive.

We were attending the Cardiff Singer of the World competition. This hotel was very convenient and excellent value for our room. Would throughly recommend

Nice location close to town, friendly staff. The room was fine but could do with some modernisation. In particular the shower area was definately in need of some TLC.

This hotel met everything we expected. The staff, room, b/fast, & all the service provided. The only comment in disagreement would be the cost of parking per day, we feel it should be only a "one of" charge per stay, not per day.

My stay was fine - for the price I paid on hotels.com. But I would have been disappointed if I had paid full rate. This is a well-located hotel, but it's not the kind of place you check in to and don't feel like leaving, which you might think from its star rating. Outstanding hotel would highly recomend. The only negative and this is being very picky. You dont have to check out till 12 but room was knocked at 9am and 9.30am to see if you had vacated.

Stay was excellent-but it was an surprise to find a £34 bill for car parking waiting for us on check out-its says car parking-doesnt say its extra!!!

Excellent stay on the weekend of 18 Feb. Hotel was lovely - the room was clean and spacious and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and was well tidy. Pricey but worth the money!

From the moment we pulled up and the uniformed doorman welcomed us and carried our baggage inside, to the moment we checked out and our requested taxi was already waiting; we couldn't fault the quality of the hotel and staff.

Stayed overnight on the 13th February 2011 with my wife. The hotel is in a convenient location for local shops, sights and restaurants. In regard to where to eat we found a nearby Italian restaurant the Positano and ate there. I have to say the food and service was of the highest quality and as my wife is Italian and can be very critical of italian […] restauarants and if she praise the food, then it must be good. Back to the hotel, the staff were helpful, attentive and friendly and the quality of the room was good, but really a four star rather than a real five star quality. The only down side was the cost of parking at £17.00 for the night. As a result the valet parking attendant did not receive any tip from me. If the hotel reduced the cost of parking to a more resonable amount, then maybe the staff doing the valet parking would be rewarded far better by the guests. Quite simply due to being charged £100 when i checked in without being told of this and it not being written anywhere on the check in form or terms and conditions, this ruined my entire stay and i will not be staying here or any other hilton ever again. STAY AT THE PARK PLAZA IN CARDIFF!

The hotel is very nice and in a great location. There is nothing wrong with the hotel or service, just that some of the newer hotels in the city centre are now nicer and less expensive. The Hilton has been one of cardiff's best hotels for many years and the rooms are a bit dated.

The hotel is ideally situated in Cardiff city centre car parking is provided by the hotel. The hotel staff were both polite and proffessional. it was a good customer experience for us.

Beautiful hotel. Location was very convenient to walk around.

Everything you expect from the Hilton. The front of house staff were excellent regarding information and car parking which was especially easy. Good location. I just wish they would purchase new toasters for use at breakfast, the two currently in use have certainly seen better days, they take forever and don't brown, but the upside is you do meet some […] nice people while waiting for a free one. Service excellent, very quick , park car outside front door and leave them park it (£17 charge) but hassle free. Room spotllessly clean and lovely big bed, all normal facilities you would expect. Except the location of the Hotel which is in the city center, it's nothing special or something out of ordinary. The rooms are moldy, because you can not open the windows for fresh air, even the Hotel has just 5-6 floors. Some of the staff are fantastic, hospitality orientated, some not. On the check-out day, reception staff charge donations fee (1 […] pound per day) without asking!!!! The Spa is always crowded with non-residents.... Mehr

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel - everything was very fresh and well presented and prepared. All the facilities, the room, the bathroom and the lisure facilities were very good. Two 4 foot beds in the room. I was distrubed by a very noisy event happening in the hotel on the final evening which went on until 2am. I did inform reception […] and as the hotel was full they have offered to upgrade my next booking. Even this didn't spoil our stay. I will definitely go back - Cardiff is a lovely and quite compact city. Mehr

Very central for everything, castle. Millennium Stadioum and shopping. Staff all very helpful.

The Gents toilets in the Foyer were filthy and untidy. The bedroom carpet had multiple stains The bedroom furniture was no doubt expensive, but looked tacky. The decor was dour, mustard & dark blue. We can recommend this hotel totally. Both the public areas and bedroom were very comfortable, spacious and clean. On all 3 nights of our stay there were big events being held withing the hotel but the sound-proofing was execellent and we were not disturbed at all. Breakfast was great - all you can eat buffet style - and all the staff very pleasant and […] helpful. The pool was actually big enough to swim in rather than just splash about. Re parking: we were mystified about how to get into the car park - all you need to do is pull up by the main entrance, go in and see the desk clerk and the car will be parked for you. Remember to take in what you need otherwise the concierge will have to return to the car to get it for you. Because the hotel is so close to everything we didn't need to use the car at all during our stay. There's a bus (No.6) that stops right outside the hotel every 10 mins which goes to the Bay area - everything else is easily walkable. If we visit Cardiff again we will definitely stay at this hotel. Hotel is good , only the receipt can not be given if booked on online, which trouble me lot.

We stayed in Cardiff for 2 nights for the U2 gig at the millenium stadium. Excellent location, and though expensive, staying in an executive room made the weekend an unforgettable weekend. The executive lounge with complementary drinks and snacks was excellent and we also made full use of the pool facilities.

My wife and I stayed in the Cardiff Hilton and both felt that we were treated very well by all the staff. We were made to feel welcome and all the facitlities were great! Definately go if you have the chance!
