Overall, not a bad stay. The individuals working the front desk when we arrived Sat. night were not the friendliest, morning check out staff was MUCH nicer. Lobby is not connected to the actual hotel rooms (outdoor pool sits in-between), but you did have to have a key to get into the lobby area of the hotel, this might be a break it deal for someone […] if you're concerned about people getting in and out of the hotel that don't belong there (with no stay to monitor in and out) but It seemed safe to us. We stayed a Saturday night so a shuttle was available to go into AC which worked out very well for us, only runs certain times in and out of AC, so make sure you check the schedule. Bus ride was.. well.. interesting, picked up at about 5 or 6 hotels before going into AC, very packed, small bus.. but worked well for not having to worry about driving into AC. Overall, stay was pleasant and I would consider again for another concert trip into AC for almost half the price of a stay downtown. I would be concerned about the amount of people trying to get onto the shuttle if it was busy season though, this was late April that we went, I'd imagine summer gets MUCH busier, not sure if they guarantee you a spot on the shuttle. I booked a room with 2 queen beds. It was 2 double beds (smaller than requested). Google Maps shows the hotel near Lakes Bay: Be careful, it's absolutely not the case! It's near the Garden State Pkwy.

The Holiday Inn in Atlantic City on Black Horse Pike was OK. The front desk personnel was not the friendliest. The breakfast was ok. A week later I stayed at the Holiday Inn on White Horse Pike and it was great... The breakfast sucked, but the stay I enjoyed much much better.

THe hotel was very nice...we had 2 rooms and they were very comfortable..we were in a no-smoking section and it was fine...the bed was especially comfortable..I always wake up with my back hurting in hotel beds, but this one was firm enough that it was great...the room and bath was clean and decorated nicely..just a slow drain in the sink...the complimentary […] breakfast was very plentiful and had a variety of things to eat..overall stay was great...and the price was right for a Sat nite stayover as the casino hotels were at 4x the price and more...the drive was only about 5-7 minutes away to get to the Borgata, and maybe 10 or so minutes to get to the boardwalk area..great choice! It was a hotel just for a weekend for the price it was great.

This hotel was very nice, the up dated rooms give it a modern new look and comfort.

Hotel was clean and in good shape. About 6 miles from Atlantic City but worth it. Would recommend.

Atlantic City. The hotel is on the main drag near restaurants but is off the road with the hotel lobby and breakfast area out front separated by the outside pool. You use your key card to get into the building so I did feel safe. The rates at Harrah's where we stay are high on Saturday nights so we always stay Saturday night at a less expensive hotel […] and then move over to Harrah's the rest of the nights. The room was clean but the shower water was lukewarm and the TV was not flat screened. However, since it was on a Saturday night (St Patrick's Day) and many of the hotels were sold out we were happy to have the room. There is a shuttle on the weekends. There is a fridge in the room and a free breakfast. The breakfast was the typical eggs,bacon, bagels, juices etc and was fine for us. All we needed was a clean room and a free breakfast so it worked for us for the night. Mehr

This hotel was ok. If I was in a pinch I would stay there again, It was not the worst. The room was clean. However, the carpet was dirty and the room had a bad mildew and mold smell. If they would give me a room with a clean carpet and without the smell. I would stay there again, like I said in a pinch! Oh, and another thing the eggs were cooked in […] pork fat eeeeeel ( DON"T EAT THEM)! Diffently an over priced Hotel. Mehr

The hotel was very clean and nice. I would stay there again.

Our initial room had a very slow flushing toilet. Long story short, the toilet overflowed (badly) and we were given another room. Another slow toilet(no major issues this time though) ; the shower didn't drain properly; and I was very unhappy with the lack of a comforter/blanket for the bed (especially in the middle of winter). We did use the heater […] in the room, but it was very noisy and made the room too stuffy. I would have preferred a nice comforter/heavy blanket for the bed. The free buffet breakfast was fine. On the third and final night, my son dropped me off outside the double doors. The weather was very cold, windy, snowy and icy. My husband was in AC. I had two room keys (a duplicate was issued earlier that morning when my husband forgot to bring his room key to breakfast.). I used my room key to enter the outside door only to find it wouldn't unlock. I tried several times with BOTH keys that should have been active. Another hotel guest let me in the outside door, but when I got to my room, the key cards still would not work. I was so disappointed and upset that I had to walk back outside to the lobby area to get yet another card issued. When my husband got back later, his room key did not work either, although it did work on the outside door for some reason. Not sure yet if we will book here again. Mehr

The hotel met or exceeded all my expectations except for two items. There was one bulb burned in the bathroom and the shower drained really slowly.

We got lost and our GPS could not locate the hotel correctly. We called the operator at Holiday Inn and she was very helpful and guided us to the Hotel. She also had two bags of gifts for us when we reached the hotel. that was very good and thoughtful of her.

Everyone was very nice and the room was large clean and very comfortable. It was just a quick drive to atlantic city very easy to get to.I would stay here again!

it was a outstanding stay from beinning to end. Fromt eh second we walked into the lobby to check in the staff was extremly friendly and helpful, when we got to our room it was very modern, clean and very comfortable , to the breakfest the next morning and check out. the entire staff was so polite and helpful , and it was a busy day for them since it […] was for New years eve. Comfy Beds, decent sized TV, good-sized bathroom, very helpful and cheery staff! Also, about 15-20 minute drive to casinos.

1- the tv did not change channels and when they did there was no sound we asked to get this fixed they did not come to the room 2- the toilet keeped ruining also told hotel and nothing

We had a very pleasnt stay. The bed and bedding was really comfortable. The room was attractive and nicely furnished. There were plenty of towels and the room was always clean and ready for us at the end of the day. Very reasonable rate. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Clean great place

rooms were nice n clean; and it was just 7 minutes away from the board walk. let us not forget the free bus that took us to the board walk.

Been a very regular customer for holiday -inn...Its my favourite Hotel to stay but this time it ruined my experience..Worst rooms,No locks for the bathroom door(very disgusting when we came to hotel with friends) ...

Very friendly customer service, check was very fast, the beds were fine, breakfast was good and they heated our turkey sausage, water pressure good. Overall a really good experience and the price was right. Thank you again.

My stay here was excellent! I went to Atlantic City to see a concert and it seemed like the casino hotels jacked there prices up because of it. I found the Holiday Inn and was very nervous about booking it as I have seen some seedy hotels in the area. This hotel exceeded my expectations and the continental breakfast was something you generally don't […] even get in places like the Hilton or Caesars. The staff were friendly, the hotel was quiet, the room was spotless along with the bathroom, and the area was safe. The location is right off of the parkway and to get into Atlantic City, it's a straight drive about 7 mins away. Mehr

On second day of a 2 day stay, returned to our room @ 10:00 PM to find room not made up or cleaned. Called front desk & was told that we had left the "do not disturb" sign on the door. NOT TRUE Front desk clerk offered to bring up clean towels & sheets. NOT ACCEPTABLE! We demanded to be moved to a clean room on the same floor. Brought up key to a room; […] we had to move everything, including breathing device which was setup & had to be dismantled & reassembled. Later, was informed that they were shorthanded in the cleaning staff!!!!! Mehr

Air Conditioner was broken in first room we checked into.We were moved to another room.AC worked but very noisy.The beds appear to be a very small double size,too small for 2 average size adults.Worn mattresses are extremely uncomfortable. hotel front desk staff not friendly..were giving a fake smile but the lady named Kathi who worked in the lobby specially for breakfast was very very good.. and the manager on duty also looked good.. overall the hotel was neat , nice good accomodation for the price we paid . will recommend to others ..

The hotel had a very nice breakfast - eggs, pancakes, pastrys, bacon, sausage, cereal ect.. I did not like the overall condition of the hotel. It appeared to be old inside. The lock on the bedroom door would not lock. I could only use the top "U" shaped lock. I would not stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it.

Pros - Comparatively cheap room. Helpful customer service and staff. Cons- Small room Bed Sheet was dirty the first night we got there. TV kept loosing the picture. We call the front desk who sent a person to check it out. All he did was come and hit the TV few times till the picture came back. It happened so many times that we didn't even bother […] to call after it happened the first time. On top of that some of the channels didnt have any sound. Breakfast ends at 9. If you spend the night out , getting up and being there in time is going to be hard. Drained and Empty pool. Rooms and hallways have musky smell. It feels that they try to cover it up with sprays. But that makes it even worse. I won't be going back to that hotel. Sorry Holiday Inn Express @ Atlantic City (6811 Black Horse Pike). You can do a better job. Mehr

I find it very odd that in this day and age, the Holiday Inn Express considers its smoking rooms to be "standard" rooms. Though when booking I was allowed to request a "non-smoking" room, I was told when I arrived that none were available. Half the building consists of smoking rooms. While neat and clean, the halls and the room stank. Will never stay […] there again. Time for this chain to get rid of smoking rooms. Let customers smoke outside. Blech. Mehr

Great stay at the Holiday Inn Express - nothing fancy, but clean, efficient, pool is fine - and a very nice breakfast offering including hot and cold foods. Recommend!

Stayed there for 6 nights. You can find everything nearby, neighboorhood is fine, I never felt unsafe goind around to the local grocery store, restaurants, fast food, liquor store. Room was clean and well maintained, a bit old, but still very descent. Atlantic city is straight line on the Black Horse Pike, 10-15min drive, Ocean city is 15 minutes down […] the garden state parkway, wildwood 30-35 minutes. Perfect location for me, maybe not for people wanting to spend the week in AC. Overall, very pleased with the hotel, was anxious about the neighborhood, but it never felt unsafe, ever!!! Mehr
