Das Hotel ist wirklich super. Parkplatz kostenlos im eigenen Parkhaus. Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt ein sehr gutes Frühstück, auch warme Speisen und Waffelautomaten:-) dazu gibt es noch zwischen 17.30 und 19.00Uhr ein paar warme Snacks, Chicken Tenders, Maccaroni mit Käsesoße usw. dazu 3 Freigetränke, auch alkoholisch. Wir waren mit diesem Hotel rundrum zufrieden.

Das Hotel bietet sich an, um einen Kurzurlaub in der Nähe von St Louis zu machen. Mit dem Auto sind es 15 min bis nach St Louis (Gateway Arch...). Frühstück in Ordnung (in der Lobby). Für ein bis zwei Nächte völlig ausreichend.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Arch und es war wirklich toll. Ein Blick zum Baseball Stadium wäre auch tolle gewesen besonders wenn ein Spiel stattfindet. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. Allerdings sollte man sich bei Dunkelheit von dem Hotel nicht weit entfernen, denn bei Dunkelheit ändert sich das Publikum. Der Pool und das Fintess Center waren gut und der Zimmerservice auch. Allerdings waren gerade Bauarbeiten im Hotel und es ging morgens schon früh mit dem Bohren los.
Für zusätzliche Personen können Gebühren anfallen, die abhängig von den Bestimmungen des Hotels variieren können.
Beim Check-in werden ein Lichtbildausweis und eine Kreditkarte oder eine Kaution in bar für unvorhergesehene Aufwendungen verlangt.

Was only there for one night but everything was good except for the size of the room. The room was very small and crammed.

It doesn't matter what Sheraton did to improve the situation - the free drinks, the sincere apologies, the extra helpful bellman, the super friendly shuttle driver - the only thing that sticks out in my mind about this hotel is the complete lack of water pressure in room 1613's shower. Sheraton has pleased me in the past and to their credit, they did […] everything they could to alleviate the situation. Because of that, I won't write them off just yet, but I will surely stress my requirement in the future with any and all hotels to not give us a handicapped room. Mehr

"Atrractive, modern and comfortable"
Our family stayed in two adjoining rooms and really enjoyed it. Everything was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful, transportation and nice restaurants are convenient, and gorgeous homes in the neighborhoods. This hotel would be great for business travel too.
"Unmet expectations"
I expected the Sheraton in Clayton to be a lot better than it panned out to be. First off, the room smelled like cigarette smoke when we arrived. The bed was kind of wobbly. When you got in it would kind of bobble a bit and then when the other person would get in the bed it would move around again like a see-saw. It was obvious that it needed to be […] removed. Lastly, I was disappointed with the level of security for the hotel. You didn't necessarily need a hotel key to enter the hotel. Most of the entrances were accessible whether you had a hotel key or not. Even though it was in Clayton, which is a fairly good area, I dtii expected more security. The cheapest of hotels require a key to enter the hotel, especially after certain times as it gets later and later in the evening. I was disappointed and wish that I'd stayed somewhere else for the money I spent. I expected a better caliber of service. Mehr
Thank you for the feedback. If you reported the smell of cigarettes and bed issue to the hotel it is recorded in a system to have housekeeping and engineering handle or fix so again we appreciate it. Housekeeping is required to report any issues of cigerette smell as well so we can deep clean the room and we charge any guest found smoking in the guestrooms $200 as we are non-smoking hotel. We do have lock systems on our garage entrances that automatically lock at 1 am and unlocks at 5 am which requires a hotel key to access. As we have guests who park before they checkin of which some arrive late we thought 1 am was a fair time as any time before then just upsets the guest as they can't access the hotel before checkin without a key. "No Fridge and No Ice"
Nice hotel, updated and modern and the staff is super friendly. No fridge in the room and I had formula with me, so I decided to keep it in the cooler and just add ice regularly. I tried 4 floors. Every ice machine was empty. One floor didn't even have a machine. I returned to my room and called guest services. Super apologetic and sweet. She said she […] would send ice and ask maintenance to refill the machines. No ice. I called again. An hour went by, no ice. She called to ask me if I had received my ice. Nope. Finally went downstairs to ask for ice. They got it for me on the spot and said they would call maintenance and ask for the machines to be filled. They offered free breakfast, free parking, whatever they could do for me, but all I needed was ice! Next morning, still no ice in the machines. Asked another hotel employee and he said he would call to get it filled. An hour later, no ice, so I went down to the bar to get it. This went on for the remainder of my stay. Thank you for the feedback. I apologize for the issues relating to the refrigerators and ice. I wish we had refrigerators in the rooms as well, but we do have portable ones available for our guests for such a purpose, but not sure if you ask for one or not. The weekend you were there we had two large Washington University groups in of young people with multiple kids in the room that constantly depleted our ice machines. These machines make ice and are not ones we fill and a very unusual situation where the machines can't keep up. That said we should have provided you ice quicker than we did and again I apologize for that not happening. Hopefully in our next renovation we will provide refrigerators. Hope you try us again soon.

"Nice!"
everythintg was good but the pool heating system didn't work and nobody was able to enjoy it.
"Many problems!"
The elevators were broken the whole weekend, making it difficult and time consuming. There was hair all over my shower wall - clearly had not been cleaned. We upgraded to concierge floor which was a waste - the breakfast place was mostly out of food and more food didn't arrive! Lastly, the bill was wrong and wasted 20 minutes of our time trying to straighten […] it out. Weet someone in the elevator who stays there frequently and told us to check our bill since mistakes are common. All in all, not a great stay . Mehr

"Beautiful Hotel"
Great locationand our room had a great view. I wish that the bathroom would've had a tub instead of just the shower. One of the elevators was out of order which made navigating through the hotel a little difficult. I also didnt like that I had to pay $14 to park at the hotel and when I checked out the exiting gate was just open(I could've parked for […] free if that were the case) Mehr

The Sheraton made my stay a pleasure
"Business District!! Needs new BEDS!!!!"
This hotel looks good, but you can tell it still needs some work. The elevators were slow as molasses, the beds were terrible (and I was under the impression they were sweet sleepers) and the house cleaning was late in the day. On Saturday, we were gone for 6.5 hours, leaving at 0845 in the morning. Our room still was not cleaned! We finally got her […] to come in and clean (WHILE WE SAT THERE!!) and it was a partial clean to say the least. The next morning, we asked at the front desk for it to be cleaned during the morning and it was clean by the time returned that afternoon. HOWEVER, our sheets were not changed, just made up, and we never got any new soap :( The indoor pool is fabulous, and that was a prerequisite for our seven year old. The area is business, so you'll have to travel for any food out of the hotel. However, travel is relative in St Louis, since everything is pretty much within a 15 mile radius of downtown. It's only about 4-5 miles from Forrest Park. Mehr

Beautiful hotel. Very nice neighborhood. Not near the downtown, but the area it is in is a "downtown" of the suburb Clayton. Clean Room. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Hotel was great, location was good. My only 2 complaints... 1) $14 per night for parking and 2) the elevators are very slow. Other than that a great hotel!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us regarding the elevators and parking. Altough I wish we had more guest elevators, we do have our service elevator down for some major work that requires my staff to also use it. That said we are hoping to have that work completed in the next 10 days, but we are trying to have our staff use the guest elevators when our guests are using it the least. We apologize for that inconvenience. The parking charges cover our insurance, cleaning and maintenance on the garage and as much as we would like to put that cost into the rate it is difficult to maintain our competitiveness. Very nice hotel. I believe parking should be free for hotel guests. The pillows were quite uncomfortable. Other than that, very nice hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Spent a weekend vacation in Saint Louis and stayed at this location based on proximity to restaurants, night life, and pet policy(dogs allowed). My expectations were exceeded, especially for the per room price.

"Weekend for continuing education"
I was referred this hotel by the school where I was taking a continuing education course and was pleasantly suprised. The hotel was in good condition and the surrounding area was nice. There were many small restraunts and bars around, but they all seemed to close at 10 so my wife and I went downtown one night. The room was very small and the bathroom […] even smaller. "Excellent hotel"
Sheraton Clayton was a spectacular hotel and a terrific experience. The room as extremely well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The only downside we had was the liveliness of Clayton; things closed very early and there was only a small block where restaurants and bars we opened. In no way did this have a negative effect on our trip, though. The MetroLink […] was within five minute walking distance of our hotel, and the clerks at the front desk were more then helpful explaining how the MetroLink works, giving us easy and quick directions to St. Louis, and suggestions of things to see and places to go. We had a great time in Saint Louis and kept very busy and loved having this hotel to come home to and relax. I would definitely suggest this hotel for anyone visiting St. Louis or anything else close by to Clayton. Mehr
"Loud with Dated and Dirty Rooms"
The bathroom was very dated, most of the grout was missing from the tiles with stains. There was zero soundproofing in the room. I could hear the neighboring room's tv and every bit of their conversation. A lot of money for something that was lower quality than most Super 8's.

The only negative was that I needed to pay for Internet.

The hotel was nice. Parking is $14 a day which is kind of ridiculous! Breakfast was not included and the location is not close enough to the galleria.
"st. Louis"
Everyone was pretty nice. Several people told us they could not take us to the pagent (a local venue). In fact it was within their mileage, one driver finally took us and was really nice about it. Overall they were good.
"Great Value"
Hotel was very nice for the price we paid. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable and the room was very clean. Bathroom was a little small but wasn't an issue. Front desk was extremely prompt in checking us in and seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Hotel is 5-7 minutes from the Delmar Loop which was also convenient.

Room was small, bathroom small and desk was too small to use for work. Bed very comfortable. Room was clean.
"Clayto mo. Sheaton"
Very nice, modern, nice computer acess. Nice large lap pool. One of the two queen size beds was awfull! The matress was sloping to the center.VERY uncomfortable!
Thank you for your feedback, we will be changing all mattress and box springs to the new Starwood brand standards and hope to have that project competed by June. In addition we will be replacing case goods in most of the guestrooms which was not done with the last renovation. So look for these changes coming soon!

Nice rehab of an older building. Rooms are a bit small, but that's downtown. $10/day for in-room WIFI is a bummer. Still...I'll go back next time I'm in St. Louis.
"Sheraton in Clayton"
This is a very nice hotel centrally located in Clayton. For me, it was perfect. The front desk woman was wonderful and everyone was very nice and professional. My only complaint is that you have to pay $14.00/day for parking in the hotel parking garage. You can tell that they are trying to renovate the garage and thank heavens because asthetically it […] is horrible. But $14.00/day??? Seriously?? I have never paid to park in any hotel garage. I would have rather had that rolled into my bill where I would never have known that....to me, super tacky. Mehr
