This hotel is satisfactory with the exception of getting to the front entrance. It is on a one way street and and by the time you realize this you need to jog around to the entrance. There is a very nice Farmer's Mkt. open year around across the street. But all other conviences are a distance away.

I stayed at this hotel because I had class in Flint. There were no places to eat nearby. We had to travel about 15 miles away to get to the nearest McDonald's. I don't eat McDonald's, but thanked God for it that night. This hotel is not near anything, but a Rally's.

The hotel was decent and the breakfast was also decent. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Flint is a pretty dangerous and unattractive city, but if you have to come to Flint, this is a good hotel choice.

My stay was very nice the room had a lil odor but other than that everything was nice,

The room was comfortable but I had a very frustrating experience at this hotel with regards to their shuttle service. I almost missed my flight because the front office staff and the shuttle could not coordinate it between themselves to pick me up on time. It took several irate phone calls for the shuttle to come to me and we made the flight only because […] it was delayed due to thunderstorms and I could still check in; otherwise the counter would have been closed and I would have missed my flight. What was worse was that there was no follow-up to this incident. I had expressed my frustration to the shuttle driver and the hotel receptionist on several occasions during the course of our interactions but I did not receive any acknowledgement of the incident from the manager. Clearly, there is very little interest expressed in customer service. I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past and they have been pleasant stays. However, after my recent experience, I will never go back - not after the aggravation they put me through. Mehr

My stay at Holiday Express was very refreshing experience, I was very comfortable ; our breakfast Buffet host made me feel quite welcome and at home.

When I booked this reservation a was lead to believe there was a pool. when I got there and wanted a swim, I found they had no Swimming Pool.

We had a nice visit and liked the fact that it was so close to the interstate we could get all the places we needed to in a short time. Also, they were willing to accomodate our small dog who is really no trouble but so many hotels either no longer allow them or charge rediculous fee.

Everyone was pleasant. There was a manager's social upon arrive and breakfast was great. They were so accommodating!

Very pleased with all aspects of this hotel. Would definitley recommend and will probably stay there again. Very clean and friendly. Excellent breakfast! Had a two day course at the U of M campus and it was so close and convenient. Only negative was a noisy fan on the airconditioner but minor detail.

The hotel (along with the rest of Michigan) recently converted to no-smoking rooms and was still in detox. The room was otherwise clean and neat. The fan sounded like a jet engine. The secured doors into the lobby were not - probably because the card lock wasn't working. Breakfast was good (not exceptional) and the rate was good. Close to the Flint […] Art Center where my wife was displaying here work and easy to get to off the interstate. Mehr

This hotel is very convenient to the university. Will always stay here when I visit.

While the neighborhood wasn't the greatest, the hotel was easy to find and was very close to downtown/Univ of Mich, which was a big plus. My client said that most of her out of town contacts stay there as well. The staff was extremely helpful and having the Farmers' Market right across the street was a nice plus.

Breakfast was good. Tv reception was not very good. Channels kept blanking out. No automatic door openers for when hands were full. Mini fridge did not work so we were moved to another room.

Very convenient location, and right across the street from a surprisingly good farmers market. Beds were comfortable, and the hotel was much nicer than we expected. If I ever have to go back to Flint I would stay here.

Older hotel ... but really well maintained and clean ... a pleasant surprise! Great Customer Service!!

This is not a real roomy hotel, and would be considered to me as a hotel that if you got laid up at the airport, and needed somewhere to stay overnight. I wasn't greatly impressed with the size of the rooms, and they placed us in a handicap room which wasn't bad unless you wanted to take a shower. The shower head will not go where it normally would […] be for a standard shower and sprays straight out into your face (for me 5'5"). Breakfast was good, they had a nice lobby area, and the staff was awesome. I wouldn't want to stay for more than one night again. We probably will not be staying here again simply because we won't just have an overnight stay. Neighborhood looked seriously rough, but the inside of the hotel was in great condition. Mehr

Very nice clean hotel. Outstanding value for money. Good hot breakfast. The farmers' market across the road was an unexpected bonus. Would thoroughly recommend it for anyone

I stayed in Flint twice this summer and was not thrilled about my first hotel stay so I booked with the Holiday Inn Express during my second stay. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the room was wonderful. I was there less than 12 hours, but it had numerous amenities that I didn't use like a hot breafast and workout room. Flint isnt the best area, but the hotel was centrally located and the breakfast was great!

You will not find a more customer focused hotel then these guys! I joked with the gal who picked me up at the airport if she could stop by Arby's on the way back to the hotel. And she was more than willing to do it for me! Now that is service! We did not go to Arby's however, I took advantage of the food they had at the hotel. We stayed here for six delightful nights while our church was on a mission trip in Michigan (they slept down the road on air mattresses at the church--my back won't take that!). I had used the Internet and scored a terrific deal but had some trepidations on what the hotel might look like for the price. However, Holiday Inn Express is usually a nice […] place so I went ahead and booked. Imagine my delight at the ultra plush beds, four pillows, and huge bathroom! The staff was great. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Mehr
