"insects and strip clubs"
The Sleep Inn is right next to a strip club called The Tiger Tail. When we woke up our luggage was swarming with ants even though there was no food in our bags or the room. Standing at the desk to inform the clerk there was an elderly couple complaining that there was no heat in their room all night. "works for a good night's sleep"
This hotel was great for my needs: a place to sleep while I visited my very elderly parents. the room was very clean. I like the layout of the room. My one tiny complaint is that the toaster (I like English muffins) did not work well at all. But, that is minor.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

Didn't realize there was no pool, my fault. The room was a glorified shoe box. The bath had only a small shower in poor condition. The tv was from the 80's and didn't have a clear picture. Horrible stay! When we checked in the hotel said because I had reserved through hotels.com they wouldn't need my card. At 2am the desk clerk called demanding that I come at that very time to give them my credit card. The desk clerk the next morning told me that it was the job of the night clerk to do this. After specifically asking before booking,if fresh fruit was part of the breakfast, we found no fruit offered at all. the structure of our bathroom was no sound proofing at all therefore the lobby bathroom had to be used for privacy.We were offered a fridge to be brought to our room so we could purchase our own fruit but they never brought it. The customer […] service was not offered at all. Because i am a pro athlete the fruit was a major issue as i was there to compete.All though different things were promised they never were provided. staying at this hotel was more of a hassle than haven. Not to mention the strip club next door that was never mentioned, when we asked in terms of surrounding area.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.No compensation was offered at all and normally in reputable hotels they try to resolve or amend the unsatisfactory service. "Hotel in Rockford, IL - More than I expected.."
Staff were courteous and pleasant - hotel was nicely decorated and very clean. The room was nicer and bigger than expected. They accept pets which was a must for me. The continental breakfast was from 6-10am so I was able to partake. Generally, they end at 9am and I usually am too late. It was easy to find my way back to the Interstate when I left, […] so I was quickly back on route. And best of all, even with charge for pets, it cost less than any of their competitors. Spent a week here. The room was very clean. Had a slow sink drain but that got fixed when I mentioned it. The tv reception was also iffy at first. When I mentioned this, it was fixed promptly. The free breakfast is very basic. We ate out most of the time, but did utilize the breakfast a few times. Convienent to the freeway and stuff on the east side […] of town. Had not planned on staying overnight in Rockford but weather conditions forced us to stop. Have stayed at Sleep Inn's before and while this was a slighter older hotel, it was clean andour reservation was ready within five minutes of us calling and arriving. Front desk was pleasant and was able to get a cup of hot tea late in the evening. Breakfast was […] ok, pastries, waffles, cereal, nothing elaborate but will get by in a pinch.
