Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 11. Feb. 2013Das Hotel hat eine unglaublich schöne Lage, die Tauch- und Schnorchelschule, die auch Bootstouren anbietet, liegt direkt neben der Hotelanlage. Leider sind die Fenster nicht zu öffnen (außer in den Zimmern mit Terrasse), die Klimaanlage ist nicht individuell zu regulieren, es kommt zu keiner Zeit wirklich Frischluft ins Zimmer. Es wäre schöner, wenn in den Zimmern kein Teppichboden wäre und das Bad gesamt durch eine Tür vom Zimmer getrennt wäre. Das Hotel ist nicht wirklich sauber. Wir haben das Brunchbuffet gebucht und das Essen war sehr lecker.

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 4. Feb. 2013Wer im Bay Harbor Hotel einbucht, muss wissen, dass es sich an der viel befahrenen Strecke zwischen Tampa und St Petersburg befindet. Der Verkehr spielt sich allerdings nahezu ausschließlich tagsüber ab. Dafür liegt das Hotel fantastisch an einer Bucht und die geringen Mehrkosten für ein Zimmer mit Blilck aufs Wasser lohnen sich. Beim Einchecken fehlte mir etwas die sonst übliche Servicefreundlichkeit; dazu finde ich es seltsam wenn ein Hotel die Kreditkarte belastet für die Dauer des Aufenthalts für den Fall, dass Schäden entstehen - das spricht entweder nicht für die Klientel des Hauses, oder es besteht ein Misstrauen den Kunden gegenüber. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, es steht sogar ein Router im Zimmer für den Internetanschluss, was ein Vorteil gegenüber der sonst üblichen Generalanlage auf einem Flur ist, weil das Signal stärker ist. Ein Minikühlschrank wurde nachträglich ins Bad gestellt. Kurzum, es ist kein Tophotel, aber auch kein Schlechtes.

"Successful Business Trip"
The location of the hotel was perfect for my buisness trip. Even though it was a quick turn around if I had more time it wold have been a perfect location to grab a drink and walk around during the day. The only issue I had with the room was the air conditioner. It was very loud! it did not disrupt my sleep because I was so exhausted from the day but […] it definitely did produce such a loud noise that it was noticeable and a little annoying. Ybor City is like a world away from Tampa, but so convenient with the Street Car / Bus System. Trolley ride to the cruise wharf, trolley ride to the Forum to see a great NHL game. The hotel was very clean with a fresh updated look. I've stayed in many Hilton Garden Inn's and this one is similar to others. I know what to expect. The only thing I would grumble about is the attentiveness during breakfast. It's not real clear that the hot breakfast is not free and requires you pay for it. The two days we ate breakfast there I had […] to go and settle up the bill because we did not get noticed by the waitstaff/attendant either day and it wasn't a busy morning. It's a minor thing. Overall, the room was clean, front desk staff was friendly, parking was easy to use, and in a safe convenient area. If I'm in the area again I would consider staying there. "Perfect for the bar exam"
I could not have been more pleased with my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. I chose this hotel hoping for a nice alternative to the ridiculously priced options around the convention center, and it was right on point. My room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The bed was soft and cozy (yes, the bedding was clean). Great desk with free wi-fi. Fridge and microwave […] to store and reheat your snacks/takeout leftovers. Neutral-scented Neutrogena and Bath & Body Works toiletries. Timely shuttles to and from the convention centers on both days of the bar exam. Lastly, a wonderful and accommodating staff. I wish I had a chance to explore the neighborhood more because everything looked supercute, but fun wasn't exactly on the itinerary for this trip. Very convenient location for the venues of a wedding we were attending in Ybor City. They have just refinished the lobby, a couple of weeks ago.. nicely done. The web site did not mention a major hotel renovation underway. The hotel was largely blocked off in sections. The registration was in a small room with one person an 7 guests waiting in line when we arrived. No restaurant available, only a catering company. The bar was a tiny room with a few bottles of spirits. No apologies/ or perks were offered as […] compensation for the mess. The price paid was not worth the experience. We were there for business and personal trip. The hotel lobby was under MAJOR renovation and one had to admit oneself through the back door. The lounge/bar area was set up in a suite of rooms on the first floor and was sort of facky. No real entertainment.. The hotel lobby is under construction and closed to the guests. All check in and customer service is done in a converted room on the first floor and entry is through the back door. We were not made aware of the construction when we booked the room so it caught us by surprise. "A great stay!"
The hotel is immaculate and in a cracking spot just 1 block from all of the action. We were in a room at the back of the hotel on the 2nd floor and heard no noise from outside at all. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and everything you need. If forced to make a negative comment,and it s a struggle.......the $10 per day for self parking […] should have been included in the hotel price. "Ybor's Best Place to Overnight"
Planned our stay so we wouldn't have to choose a designated driver for Guavaween. This place was perfectly located for enjoying the several music venues throughout Ybor while having our nearby hotel. Room has a small microwave and fridge so we even could stop by and drop off our dinner leftovers and keep going without it being a hassle. Only negatives: […] choices were a king or 2 double beds no queens (although beds were very very comfortable), parking was tight with the hotel fully occupied, and don't waste time on the breakfast buffet unless you are there on a non-event day. It seems to be a bargain at $7.95 but our experience was negative. Food was hurriedly prepared to get it out for the larger crowds, and resulted in uncooked grits and nearly raw bacon. We picked this since it's within walking distance to The Castle in Ybor, so it's great when we attend events there. Unfortunately, the bed is pretty terrible. It's this strange "adjustable bed" that supposedly goes from Firm to Soft, but it's more like Firm to Slightly Less Firm. This last time the sheets were pretty horribly stained as well. The hot […] water takes forever to get going, and the elevator is slow and makes concerning sounds when you ride in it. Breakfast is NOT included, and certainly isn't worth the $8 they charge you. "Great Alternative to Staying at the Hard Rock"
Overall, our stay was great - it was about a 10 minute ride to the Casino, and the rooms were typical of a Hilton property. Clean and comfortable. A couple of things to note: You have to pay for parking and you also have to pay for breakfast.
