I stayed at this hotel after being in northern CA the night prior to my 5:45 AM flight. The lady at the front desk (she was pregnant - just so the kudos can be given to the correct person) was exceptionally helpful and kind. I returned my rental the night before my flight; the shuttle picked me up at the rental car plaza and I took the shuttle to the […] airport the next morning. Both drivers were courteous and safe drivers. The only negative I can say is it seemed they have the air conditioner set so it will not go below 68*. Not only did the shuttle pick us up at the airport, the driver dropped us off and picked us up at a nearby restaurant. No need to rent a car or take a cab for short local trips!

One of the best hotel stays I have had. They make you feel like family. Yenni is awesome. She makes you feel welcome and is fun to interact with. I will stay here everytime I come to the bay area. The hotel is top notch.

This place is easy to stay at. New, fresh, clean. Customer Service was delightful, even on the shuttle to the airport.The price was a little high for a Holiday Inn, but it made it simple for us to get to a 7am flight. Would book this place again!! I think that is the closest to the aiport - and we didn't hear one plane during our sleep!

We requested a 1st floor room, but stuck with a room on the 2nd floor w-a-y down the long hall. The 2nd floor ice machine was broken during our whole stay (6 nights).

The entire family, about 20 of us, went to Oakland for a family wedding and we agree that our stay was very pleasant. We were all within doors of each other and even used the living room area for a family night gathering! Housekeeping was great, breakfast, and gym were a plus!

Hotel was nice but staff needs a little work, we checked in late at night and it seemed like the person at the desk couldn't care less. Overall room was clean and beds/pillows perfect, breakfast bar coffee needs help also, but for the price and location I would stay again.

We needed to leave for the Oakland Airport very early in the morning and this hotel was perfect. The airport shuttle made it very convenient. I had a good experience at this hotel. I was only there for a little while but it was good. The bathroom gets hot really easily and needs a defrost vent to keep the mirrors from fogging up. Other than that, it was a good experience.

We stayed at the airport express because it wasn't too far from Mills college where my daughter was being dropped off for college. There wasn't too much around it for convenient food or a place for sundries, unless you are good with Walmart. The hotel was wonderful though. A skip from the airport, down the road from a Starbucks and Wal-Mart. We stay here when visiting family since we just need a place to crash. We were in room 166 -- end of the hallway, king bed, and pull out. Great secluded spot if traveling with kids. Breakfast included cereal, eggs, biscuits, yogurt, sausage -- a great deal. Con: no pool.

I have stayed in other Holiday Inns Express but none like this one it was completely overpriced, the neighborhood was scary (but not dangerous, I think?) The fridge in the room was not working the toilet was not cleaned prior to our arrival. No restaurants available in the Hotel, we could not make any local calls because phone was locked?? I had to postpone my Valentine's night out with my husband because I was sick with a cold. The next weekend we tried again, It was a great night even though I didn't get the Jacuzzi bath that I had my heart set on. Over all I enjoy the one night stay and I am looking forward to another night stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

I had a crazy trip to Oakland last week, and the Holiday Inn Express Oakland Airport was a surprisingly great place for my needs. Got in at 10pm Tuesday, a quick phone call and a less-than-a-mile courtesy shuttle trip got me to the hotel. Oscar at the front desk was cheerful and friendly. Hotel room surprisingly nice--bed was great. I even got to […] take a bath! Next day partook of the free breakfast buffet, then another courtesy shuttle to the BART station. After a long long day of business, another quick call to the hotel got me the courtesy shuttle back to the Holiday Inn. Following day my flight left at 6:30 am, and again the courtesy shuttle brought me to the airport. I was very pleased with the locale (nothing like being at your hotel in less than 10 minutes after a long day of flying cross-country). I thought all of the staff were friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the shuttle drivers to the breakfast staff. I would stay here again. Mehr

...and evening reception too! close to airport, free shuttles, new and clean... we just needed to stay one night in oakland to get to the airport and this fit the bill perfectly. oh and they have fresh baked cookies!

The staff was very nice, the room was a bit small w/two beds, but comfortable, and quiet. The BEST was their shuttle service - they not only picked us up from the airport, but to dinner, to car rental, to the game and to the grocery store - for free!!! In town for a football game for 3 nights - very convenient to airport, shopping, and Oracle and O.co stadiums. Nice clean room - large - friendly staff and great breakfast. Had no issues whatsoever and plan on staying there every time I visit Oakland for sporting events

Your pretty standard airport hotel with business travelers. They have cookies and a managers happy hour. The walls are pretty thin so you may wake up with the other folks with early flights.
