Was wonderful except for the bed

The location and price was excellent for the stay in Sedona. Was there for a wedding and what a comfortable place. We had friends who stayed at the very expensive hotel and from the sound of it, our rooms were much larger and more comfortable. Will stay there again.

You go to Sedona for the view. Most of the rooms have a view of the hotel nest door. Not up to the standards I expect from La Quinta.

the hotel was okay....but nothing to rave about. The beds seemed old and used...and the sheets were not big enough to tuck in anywhere...and so on. But it was sufficient for having a bed.

The La Quinta on Rte 179 in Sedona is not up to the standard of this class of service, nor other La Quinta's that I've stayed in. The place was dirty, worn, and as my teenage daughter called it, "sketch". The breakfast was very sub-par and the room was way too small. Hotel should be listed as Oak Creek Village near Sedona. The Sedona first is very misleading and was very inconvenient to go to and from Uptown or West Sedona. Bathroom was old, needs regrouting, maybe a kinder softer bathroom tissue would be nice. Rooms/entire hotel smelled musty needs a good airing out. Breakfast was decent, lots of food. Was a nice hotel and good location. Until we got in our room. The room sunk like sweat, bedding and all even the shower curtain. And we went down for contin breakfast there was not very good variety. Tryed to use wafle maker and the was no spray for it so our wafle did not come out. We decide to go out for breakfast.

Was an OK visit.. hotel had some people call in sick and rooms weren't ready on time..breakfast was late, jacussi out of order. Was Ok for a one nighter.

The hotel was clean, convenient, and fairly priced. The breakfast could have included healthier cereal, bananas, and yogurt.

Surprised at the wood floors (laminate). Left the room with a cold feeling. A couple of toss rugs would help.

My husband and I loved the hot tub, nice and clean , Plus the breakfast area had a nice selection of food. Plus I liked the idea that it was included in the price.

Besides the grouchy clerk at the front desk, this hotel was acceptable. VERY comfortable beds and pillows!

when we checked in the manager on duty, Suzanne was rude to the guests checking in. We were there for the Sedona Marathon and my daughter overheard her say"I would like to kill all the marathoners they are all asking for late check out times"!! She also wouldn't give them a late check out time. We decided we would wait till the next day when someone […] else was on duty, Matt was that manager the next morning and we had a late check out for 1:30. We thought this should be something the hotel should be aware of. Mehr

Great place, great area, would def go back, they need to upgrade toilets tho, Beds were very comfy.

The motel is ordinary, I think over-priced. But the location is good for the places that we wanted to visit. Better get to the breakfast early, otherwise it may be very crowded with no place to sit. And since they do not allow you to bring food out of the breakfast room, this can be a problem. It was for us. Waffles, hardboiled eggs, toast, bagels, […] cereal, oatmeal, oranges, apples, mini muffins, milk, juice, coffee, tea. Enough to fill you up until lunch. They also have a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. They will provide change for machines, upon request. I think that they would do themselves a favor by informing their staff to be friendly. It is the hospitality industry with plenty of competition. The last day we were there, the desk clerk, Peggy, actually said good morning to us. I made a comment to her how she was the first one to acknowledge us after three days stay. One morning after breakfast, my husband went to the lobby to drink some coffee and ACIDENTALLY fell asleep. He snores loudly and the desk clerk came over and told him that he could not sleep in here, he would have to go back to his room to sleep. Kind of embarrassing and unprofessional to chastise someone in public. She could have handled it differently. Staff meeting needed. We are not picky people to let something like this to prevent us from coming back. It would take more than that for me to stay away. Cleanliness is more important to me and the room was fine. They could do some edge vacuuming in the hallways, though. But that is just me. Mehr

A very convenient and pleasant hotel for the money. The breakfast room was a little crowded and difficult to move around in, but breakfast staff was very helpful.

For the price, this was not up to par. The walls are so thin, you can hear people talking in the next room at moderate volume. The bed was not comfortable (Mattress to soft.) The staff was nice, although my companion commented that they were not professionally dressed.

Everything nice and clean. Would like to have the hot tub open a bit later. The bed was not as comfortable as I have experienced before at La Quinta.

The rooms are definitely overpriced, but so is everything else in Sedona. I stayed in a standard King sized bed bedroom. The furtinure is old, the walls are paper thin, the view was terrible. Unlike other luxury hotels I've stayed in, La quinta didn't offer lotion, mouth wash, and had poor quality soap and shampoo. The water isn't soft so you feel pretty […] dry afterwards. The complimentary breakfast was cheap and the rooms smelled. But on the bright side, the staff was great and the AC worked well! There was a TV at least and the bed wasn't too hard. I don't think I'd ever stay here again for the price I paid. Maybe if the price was cut in half. Mehr

The hotel room was clean and the service there was good. The breakfast was probably one of the best ones we've had for a continental breakfast. It had the usual cereals, muffins, hard boiled eggs, waffles, juice, and coffee but they also had sausage and scrambled eggs. You do have to drive about 10 minutes to get to the main part of Sedona but you […] have close-by restaurants and little shops. We highly recommend the pizza parlor right next door to the hotel. It's very good. We will stay here again on our next visit. Mehr

First we were surprised to see that the hotel isn't actually anywhere near uptown Sedona, but it's still located near restaurants and an outlet mall. The worst part for us was checking in. We arrived 30 minutes early, but they wouldn't allow an early check in. In fact, we had to wait in the looby an extra thirty minutes past the check in time. This hotel was a bit run down looking, but very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and ideal for a weekend getaway. The breakfast options were very good, and I was glad we had 2 mornings to try different things. Great shopping and restaurants located close by.

They probably sent this to the wrong person! We choose the La Quinta because generally these are nice and with it being in Sedona I figured it would really be nice. Was I ever wrong! We walked into the room and I was shocked! No carpet, fake wood floors, dirty bathroom, one chair in the room to sit on. I sucked it up and figured it was only for one […] night I could handle it. Then I went to lie on the bed! It was broken! King bed with a broken bed frame so it sunk into the middle like a valley! The person who makes the bed had fiddled with it to make it look ok then the moment you laid on it, it fell in. If the bed was broken and an employee knew it was broken then why would it have not been fixed prior to the next guest staying in the room! Then when we called down to ask for another room we were told they would come and look at the problem, like we were imagining it. The assistant manager came to look and said yes it was broken and they would send someone up with a new frame. I am a guest at the property and I have to have the furniture moved and replaced! I said can’t they just give us a new room and he said not they were booked. Then a few minutes later, I was told they had a room and we could move. Never again! Mehr

We were a little disappointed that there was no refrigerator in the standard room. The pool and hot tub were nice, but a little cool, even Labor Day week-end. The breakfast was very substantial.

We rented 3 rooms. First room had small bugs on bedsheet. They didn't change room. 2nd room has some funky odor - management ignored. 3rd room was too cold when we entered into it. When we turned on heating - there was smoky smell...!!! Skunk died in parking lot - front desk said it is routine for this area and didn't even have somebody take care of […] stinky smell. The staff was great, very nice and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very clean. Really liked that the entire bathroom was all in one room, instead of having the sinks separate.

This hotel was pretty nice. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was pretty good. The only complaint I have is the room we stayed in had hardwood floors (which I'm assuming is only in the "pet-friendly" rooms), which made it very difficult for my little Yorkies to run around and jump up on the high beds (they hurt themselves […] trying). :( But other than that, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel was conveniently located on the main road. It's decor was a bit dated but clean. My room was large and I was surprised to find laminate flooring instead of carpet; there was not a rug. The room was clean. There was a large breakfast in the morning, but not much room to navigate the space.

Enjoyed the stay. The place was clean and well-run. Breakfast was substantial. Ate at the Thai restaurant in the adjacent shopping center, after discovering that it is truly very good. The location is technically outside or at best in a suburb of Sedona, right near Bell Rock. Great views and ambiance.

A short distance away from the"tourist strip" but close to great hiking and the outlet mall. Clean simple rooms, wood floors which is probably god since pets are allowed.
