Bayview Park Hotel Manila - Manila

As an International traveler for both business and family vacation, i must say that I am appalled with this hotel. 3 stars, humph, 1.5 stars. My experience was horrible from arrival and got worse as the time went on. Upon arrival we got out of the taxi and even with 4 porters and telling them we were checking in 5 times, they still did not help us with […] our bags. They did however, take the time to move my bags out of their way while we were unloading. Also not one greeting, welcome, how are you...I felt like I had committed a crime arriving in a taxi. Then at check-in there was a long wait and NO place to sit down. When they told me my wife could sit in the Cafe, the cafe then told my wife it was for customers only. I have never been to a hotel without places to sit in the lobby. After arguing with management regarding the room deposit we agreed that I was on a cash basis for my incidentals...DUH, like I was planning to NOT pay for my incidentals if I even had any. The general demeanor of all employees was very inhospitable and downright angry in some instances. A guy at the porte cochere even asked my wife what here business was there and who she was with.....I wanted to knock his teeth out. The room is the bare minimum, no frills, no washcloth, no hangers, no amenities other than soap. I guess that should be expected for a less expensive hotel...but I had just checked out of G Hotel, 1km away and gotten twice the room and 5 star service for only 200 pesos more per night. I left my room just after checking in and went down to starbucks for coffee. On my way in and out of the hotel I counted over 15 staff that I passed. NOT ONE of them greeted me or said hello, or good afternoon or anything. They watched my like I was a common thief or a criminal in their midst. I then returned to the front desk to request a meeting with the general manager...he never tried to meet with me even once. Mehr

Hotel Staff was very polite and friendly. Resturant food very good quality and restaurant personal very nice also

very low water pressure in the morning, had difficulty using the shower. I was booked at the 12th floor.

the service was bad waiting for everything even when not busy room were not very nice shower didn't work very good i wouldn't recommend this hotel to nobody

This hotel offers easy access to central city sights, especially Ocean City. The rates are very favorable. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and reasonably quiet. Room carpet was dirty. Sheets on the bed are old. Breakfast was OK. The hotel corridors smelt of seafood. The tiny swimming pool was off limits as there was a wedding reception. Very busy traffic in front of hotel.

Our stay in this hotel was quite okay. Though the rooms were not so new there was evidence that constant upgrading was being done and I appreciate it. More importantly the hotel staff, from bell boy to the waiters/waitresses, were courteous and helpful.

This hotel is almost close to everything..with the traffic here in manila..this is one convinient place to go

Its a horrible place to stay at the moment since its going udner renovation, lot of noise, no hotel looby, no chairs no sofa no place to sit. Staff unfriendly and non responise. Rooms not clean. Renovation alert should have been given by the booking agency but was not highlighted when i booked online.

My wife stayed in this hotel 3 years ago and was happy with the service and its location. Because of the comfor and its proximity to the airport we came back to stay. It is unfortunate that some parts of the building was destroyed by the typhoon. There was a minor disturbance though, the room we were in had an adjoining door. When I stayed, the hotel was going through some maintenace, due to the typhoon that hit phillippines, after checking in the hotel, the staff said we dont havve hot water provision, i had difficulty having shower with cold water, hotel did not provide alternate solutions.

Stayed at this hotel on a reccomendation of my long time friend. The hotel was absolutely a great place to stay and call home away from home. My girl friend said she felt like a Princes there.The staff was very friendly and full of information about the surrounding area. THE HOTEL WAS UNDER REPAIR DUE TO THE TYPHONE, BUT THE SERVICE WAS STILL VERY GOOD

I booked this hotel because of it's location which is close to the US embassy. The hotel is nice and the rooms are comfy and relaxing. Unfotunately the following day there was a typhoon and the ground floor was flooded. Now comes the problem, the hotel big as it is don't have no emergency plan. No guests could leave the hotel because of the weather […] and there was no electricity. the stairwells are dark and I have to use my cell phone to light up my path at the same time trying to conserve its use cause i need it for calling in a more emergent situation. Not until later that they provide staff to stay in the stairwells to provide lighting with a flashlight. Food is terrible, they sell it for P300.00 for two small pieces of chicken and a cup of rice. The Manager never showed up despite several request fom the guest to answer questions on what is their plan for the guest. The people in the front desk doesn't know the answer to the guest question and nobody knows the answer. Thankfully we were able to transfer to another hotel and it feels much better. I now that the situation was not in their control but they could do better in handling customer complains. Mehr

Excellent location on Manila Bay, just across the road from US Embassy. Check- in and check out were efficient, room was comfortable and clean and the price was reasonable. But it isn't 4 or 5 star luxury and the decor looks tired. The buffet breakfast was mediocre. But if you just want a bed for the night in a central location it's a good choice.

This happens to be my 4th stay at the Bayview,,and verry possibly last,,,Their menu was not at all to everyones taste in my group,,therefore we wanted to order out most freqently,,only to be told by the Hotel that we would have to pay a charge for doing so,,Never have occupied a hotel,,Where they want to charge you for not eating their food..my rating […] for them has dropped from a bragging 9 to a very disappointed 4...I Frequent the Amer.Embassy quite often doing my stay in Manila,,,As it turns out i will have to find another hotel,,to accomadate,,me on my stay while i,m attending affairs at the Amer.Embassy. Overallrating is just fair for the price. Location is. An advantage. Close to airport and mall. Very nice breakfast. Awesome.

Bayview Hotel has never failed to satisfy us. We have no complaints. Checking in thru Hotels.com was a breeze. All our requests with the front desk were granted.

hotel is very convenient to several places... price was affordable, staff was helpful, room was clean, I will surely use this hotel again..

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Clean and safe, with affordable rate.

The front desk staff were very accomodating. That's about the only good thing I can say.

The front desk at the hotel is having a hard time accessing our reservation & confirmation number upon check in.....

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Price is right and the free breakfast is a bonus. Rooms are spacious, clean and furniture all look new. Service is at the snap of a finger.

Nice hotel I was very happy with room and staff.

I am there for a business trip and found that the hotel is quite good. Nearby the hotel is a Japanese, Korean and a Chinese restuarant. The food of these restaurant is rather and reasonable price. The only comment of this hotel is there is a need to improve the food varity in the breakfast and extend the breakfast on weekend from 6 - 10am till 6 - 11am. Great location, clean, good price and overall a good experience. Only downsides were the noisy aircon and that they have sunscreen on their windows so you can't see anything at night, which is a real shame because the view of the bay is gorgeous.

Hotel was nice and price of the room was ok. My only problem is being charged extra when my friends came to visit me. This hotel charge for guest to visit you.

Air conditioning does not work. Varying and messy service from reception staff.

once again, a short stay in manila hotel is reasonable i decided to check in to play in different golf course, did not like much buffet breakfast due to not much to choose from and cold, though i have requested to heat up my meal and have explained to staff that white meat must be served within acceptable cooking temperature to avoid illness, they immediately […] did so and have removed tray from it's serving area to be heated up again, unfortunately it took a long time to be reheated and once delivered food came back 'warm'. overall i liked the hotel it was very close to the golf course where I very much enjoyed playing rain or shine on the duration of my short stay in manila, am considering going back to this hotel, but I hope if I do it wouldn't be staying same floor with people having a gathering or special occassion to celebrate, the noise was a little too much for my liking, i did not mind much one night but three nights in a row and i only intend to be in manila for four was a bit 'off ' nevertheless I enjoyed it... 1st let say Hotel not whats listed on web site pics not how rooms are like or there service staff where very rude had it reserved through here when arrived was told theres no info even after showing confomation number and all wanted charge us...inside room was not clean, very small bathroom, bed was horriable some outlets didnt work. area around hotel […] very bad only good is that us embassy is very near.....would not go back or tell anyone book this hotel...also when check in will not get room you booked online Mehr

Comfortable room at reasonable rates. Restaurants nearby.

The aircon didn"t work well during my previous stay and also it didn"t work well. it wasn"t cool enough. The Bell man was not concern with our needs. Aside from the aircon, the rest were very satisfactory. My advise to others is that you should check the room first before deciding to stay in the room.

Hotel staff was great. The room was very clean and bathroom was nice. I had a good nights sleep in this quite room with very cold air and comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet, coffee and juice tasted good. The hotel van got me to the airport on time. I had stayed here before and plan to in the future.

1st time in 9th flr after 25 min. airconditioned has a big leak that cause wet all my things, and 2nd day again in a different room in 6th flr. same problem and the the crew is too slow to do action , we are waiting for more than hour , and the last day of my stay theres no electic power and limited only the comfort room has a suppy of electric..... […] im not so happy then .... my friends recommended me 3 other hotels along Roxas Blvd but after checking their websites and read some reviews, i decided to find another hotel by myself..and bayview park caught my attention. choosing a hotel online and reading reviews about it is a risk..but im glad i chose this hotel.. i stayed here for 5 days (4nights) with my husband while […] we're processing our documents with the embassy. the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel (particularly our room) is really commendable. i've stayed in other hotels in Manila, but considering the price, bayview is a must try for travelers. and booking online will cost you less, like i did with hotels.com... if you're on a budget though (like us), i recommend you to eat outside the hotel because their food is soooo expensive! (we've tried it only in our 1st night). besides, there's a lot of good restaurants around..just take a look and walk around.. there's no free wifi access also. my hubby tried to use the internet services of the hotel after paying ten times higher than the usual internet rate, but the connection is really really slow! that after 35 minutes, he decided to stop using it (although we paid for an hour usage). but generally, our 4 nights stay in bayview was really great! that before we left, my husband even said that next time, we'll be staying in that same hotel. Its an old hotel but reconditioned to new again. The room was very clean and nice. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed the coffee. My wake up call was recieved and I had a quiet sleep. The hotel is ok, but reception are hopeless, one girl in particular was the worst reception staff I have ever had to deal with.

Very nice suite, friendly stuff. Only problems when check in with reservation system! Restaurant to small in the morning and close to early in the evening. Swimmingpool small but nice - but close 5 p.m.!
