Hotel (4 Sterne-Bewertung ist etwas hoch gegriffen, aber durchaus in Ordnung) liegt sehr nah am Bezirk Temple Bar. Christchurch liegt gleich nebenan. Sehr ruhig! Nur einigen Schritte vom Zentrum und vielen Pubs, Restaurants und den Haltestellen des Stadtrundfahrt-Busses entfernt. Ich habe zu Fuß viele lange Spaziergänge zum Flussufer und zu einigen […] Sehenswürdigkeiten unternommen. Gefrühstückt haben wir auswärts, z.B. im American-Diner oder gleich um die Ecke. Im Pub neben dem Hotel haben wir schöne Abende bei Irish-Folk-Musik verbracht – sehr zu empfehlen! Mehr

Traveling with husband, sister/brother-in-law. Our rooms were on the top floor and had opening windows. We could see the River Liffey from our rooms. I didn't really notice an unusual amount of noise at night despite the proximity to Temple Bar area. The hotel bar is a strange set up and was nearly deserted the one night we were there. The staff were great, always helpful and 'real person' polite not forced. I would caution N American travelers that the rooms are quite small by US and Canadian standards but we were not planning any parties. There are a dizzying array of restaurants close by. The room was clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to book there again.

Went to a concert in Vicar street and this hotel was very convenient and central, staff very friendly,room very clean would definitely go back. loved the sea gulls outside the window in the morning.

It was a nice place to stay at. The people working there were friendly,without speaking much English... The management is friendly and helpful, will give you all of the advice about the clubs and any other places...! Worth the money.

Absolutely fantstic hotel in a perfect location. most comfy bed we'd ever slept in! Friendly staff and great breakfast. We stayed here over New Year and couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful, the room was a little tired looking but very clean and had the comfiest bed! It was a two minute walk to Temple Bar so is surrounded by places to eat and bars to visit. This is a very nice hotel, very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in Dublin, and quite reasonably priced. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint (not really the hotel's fault) was the noise from the street---traffic, sirens and the ringing of a nearby church bell […] made it difficult to sleep. We stayed in the Hotel for two nights, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and a good size. It's located just off dame street, so perfectly central. I will definately be using this Hotel again.

My friend and I visited Dublin for the first time and we were looking for a place that was right in the middle of everything. The George Frederic Handel Hotel was in a great location. It allowed us to be within walking distance to everything. The staff at the hotel were great. They allowed us to check in hours earlier than we were supposed to. They […] even provided great recommendations for restaurants and bars to go to. The condition of the room was very clean and spacious. And the price was excellent. Location is very conveniently located in Dublin. The first night was lovely, the second (a Friday) was a bit noisier. I would ask for a room not on the street side if staying over the weekend. Front desk staff were wonderful and went out of their way to assist.

Hotel did not do food in the evening but we found a great pub "Darkey Kelly's almost next door. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful, room comfortable but bathroom looked a bit tired although spotlessly clean rest of hotel was spotless. We would stay there again

Our stay at the George Frederic Handel was excellent, the breakfast was excellent selection and cooked to order. The front desk staff was excellent and helped us with directions, good restaurants.Nothing was to much trouble.location was idea with in walking distance of everything. Will certainly recommend the hotel to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at the George Fredrick Handel Hotel. The front desk employees went out of their way to be helpful and polite. The location is great -- we were able to walk to many of the sights we wanted to see. Also it was only a short 20 minute walk to Heuston Station. I would definitely stay there again.

Short break for me and two teenage girls, lovely decor and room was superb, bar and restaurant elegantly decorated. Can't fault the rooms or staff. A wee bit of noise from the streets in the early hours, but to be expected in the centre of Dublin. Easy walking distance to Temple Bar etc. etc. I would certainly stay there again.

The hotel was clean, in good repair and well decorated. The bathroom was excellent - not at all pokey which can be a problem with city centre hotels. The location was absolutely perfect for us - close to the places we wanted to go and the street was well lit and felt safe. If I had to be critical, the bed was a little hard for my taste - but I do prefer […] a softer mattress. All that said, the best thing about this hotel were the friendly and efficient staff. They provided maps and directions, recommended excellent restaurants, gave us late night conversation and bar service, booked taxis and kept our luggage for us when we'd checked out but had a few more hours before we needed to leave. I was traveling with my husband - we are both early 30's. The hotel room was very small but clean, the staff was great and location amazing. The breakfast was also very good. I would definitely recommend staying at this location.

Very good for overnight stay. Rather small room for longer visit. Room was clean. Although window was situated to main street, there was no problem with outside noise due to proper window sealing

Great location. We appreciated the staff getting our room ready as quick as possible we had jet lag. My son needed to nap and the triple beds in the room was fantastic.

When we arrived to the hotel it was 2 PM and our room was not ready. When we got to the room, there was a very strong, nauseating scent of air freshener. We opened the window and turned on the ceiling fan only to find that it grated when it was on. As the air freshener started to dissipate, we began to smell a strong odor of mold in the room. I had […] already called about the room odor and was told to just open the window and start the fan. I then called Expedia. We ended up moved to a better smelling room and a promise from the manager that our stay would be good if we gave them a 2nd chance. I dearly wish I had insisted on changing hotels that day. We were very busy on our trip and that first day was the only day we would have had to changed. Our room was only cleaned (bed was made, trash can emptied) once during our 4 day stay, after a request, and our towels were never changed. The hotel does not provide washclothes. Shampoo and hand soap are attached to the walls of the bathroom. The hair dryer is fastened under the desk, is at least 20 years old, & only worked as long as you continually pressed the button. The hotel itself is really in need of an update. The carpeting has holes in several places. You have no control over the temperature of your room. There are not sufficient plugs in the walls to charge items like cell phones or cameras. Claudia, the receptionist, is the hotel's saving grace. She is knowledgeable and polite and belongs in a better establishment. Mehr

5 minutes walk from Temple Bar for all the night life and restaurants and good location for any sight seeing made this hotel the perfect location for our 3 night stay. Just far enough away for the hotel to be quiet at night when you want to sleep but no need for the expense of taxis to go anywhere. Staff helpful and friendly.
