Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 30. Sep. 2012Das Hotel ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen (dafür kleinen Punktabzug) und typisch amerikanisch aber dennoch vollkommen OK. Es ist natürlich kein Interconti, man bezahlt auch keine Interconti! und wir wollen hier auch nicht auf Interconti Niveau bewerten. Alles funktionierte enwandfrei. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer selber war ausreichend groß für die Übernachtung, aber zu klein, um dort den Tag zu verbringen. Es war eine kleine Küche enthalten mit Herd und Kühlschrank. Alle Geräte fuktionierten und wir hatten keinerlei hygienische Bedenken, wie auch nicht bei dem restlichen Zimmer. Das Hotel liegt ca. 300m vom Ufer entfernt. Wir sind zwar mit dem Auto in knapp 10 min am Parlament gewesen, aber zu Fuß sollte es auch in ca. 30 min machbar sein. Parkplätze sind auf dem Hof vorhanden. Allerdings kann es zu Spitzenzeiten zu Engpässen beim parken kommen. Die Nachbarschaft sieht, glaube ich, schlimmer aus als sie ist. Wir haben uns aber nie unsicher gefühlt. Als Ausgangspunkt für Stadbesichtigungen ist das Hotel sehr gut gelegen. Wir würden es beim nächsten Stadtbesuch auf jeden Fall auch wieder buchen, da das Preis / Leistungverhältnis m.E. für 1-2 Nächte gestimmt hat.

Gutes Frühstück und die Lage ist ok - nicht ganz einfach zu finden, aber der Bus ist dann doch nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt und in 15 min im Zentrum! Das Personal war freundlich, aber nicht aufgeschlossen und machte nicht den Eindruck, als wenn es uns gern helfen würde... Das war schade und lässt einen negativen Beigeschmack nicht aus.

We were in Ottawa for the Race Weekend and we chose the Residence Inn for it's proximity to the start line on Elgin. Flying in early in the morning from the Maritimes we were tired and were prepared for a noon check in however, the front desk staff gave us a room right away and we were totally grateful. It is one of the things that makes one want to […] return, the little extras that mean a lot. Our room was clean, but pull out bed was rather uncomfortable and well used. No other complaints. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was good. Everything was very good other than the morning breakfast the hotel provides. Every single table was full of dirty dishes so we had to eat at a dirty table with no sign of anyone cleaning up as people left. Some of the food selections were also empty. "Great stay, few difficulties."
I had a great stay at Residence Inn in Ottawa. The continental breakfast was very good and super convenient. The onsite Tim Hortons was also great. I had minimal complications with the free wifi. The staff were all friendly, and our room was clean. The parking situation was not good. Without warning before our arrival we discovered that the hotel's […] parking lot was under construction. They offered 2 suggestions for parking upon check-in, but they were not situated close to the hotel, and one didn't offer in-out privileges. We were not apologized to for the inconvenience, and were offered no compensation for the inconvenience the parking situation provided us with. As most 24 hour parking lots in the vicinity are 24 hours, 5am-5am, or 6am-6am, we were forced to wake up early in the morning and walk to our vehicle to ensure validity of our parking pass so we wouldn't be charged upwards of $70. I could speak of the parking inconvenience for hours, and I would suggest choosing another hotel in the vicinity until the parking lot construction is complete, unless you look into other places to park prior to arrival. Other than this issue, I was quite pleased with my stay and impressed by how close everything is, being able to walk to Parliament, shopping centres and restaurants. "Convenient to all downtown venues"
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast had a wide variety of options; cold/hot. The swimming pool/sauna/whirlpool were an added pleasure. Good Comfy Room.. We were 3 adults and 3 Kids Stay was comfy, They had a Kitchen fully equipped which was a Big bonus. The Breakfast was Good. We recently stayed at the Residence Inn for just for one night. We planned on visiting one of the museums in Ottawa. We were very impressed with the hotel and all the amenities. We have 2 kids (9 and 13); and both enjoyed the swimming pool/hot tub. Our older son enjoyed the fitness room. To our delight, upon check in we were upgraded to a spacious suite. […] Bedroom incl. 2 dbl beds; living room and full kitchen. Breakfast was a delicious hot/cold buffet in the lobby which was included with the price of the room. The only minor inconvenience was the parking. The hotel has an agreement with an under ground garage which is 3 blocks away. The hotel experience was fine. I just found the breakfast that was included with our price was absolutely terrible. The next morning we went out for breakfast. "Right where we wanted to be!"
The hotel was ideally located, just a block away from the winterlude festivities. We could have watched the fireworks from our room! Even if we stayed just one night, the little kitchen was ideal. We brought our own wine... The brunch was included the next morning and the pool hours were longer than in most hotels. There was also a Tim Horton attached […] to the hotel. How convenient! "Valet issues"
The only issue that we had with our stay was the horrible valet service. A half hour wait was the norm. On one occasion, we waited an hour for our car. Other than the valet service, I have no complaints about this hotel.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Overnight in Ottawa"
We had a wonderful time at the Marriott Residence Inn. We liked that it was central to alot of things such as Rideau Centre, Parliament Buildings and Byward Market. "Great space for family or lengthy stay"

"walking distance to most everthing"
Our stay was really good. The only thing i was a bit disappointed was the breakfast,a little bit more variety would been great and when whe ask front desk howf far a walk was the Mint Museum the didnt know what we were talking about. "Very good hotel for our larger family."
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The one bedroom suite with two queens and the roll out couch made our family of 5 quite comfy. The breakfast was very good and saved us alot of money over two days as well as the hastle of finding a breakfast place. The location was great as we were moving our son into his apartment for university.
