Great location for all things in the medical center . It's not a great neighborhood in terms of evening activities and it doesn't actually feel that safe at night. But, for business in the medical center (i.e., during business hours), it's fine. The rooms are a bit on the dark side in terms of lighting, but you could probably ask maintenance to bring […] an extra floor lamp if you really needed. The kitchenette is well-stocked with the basics & the refrigerator is clean. The parking lot was a bit problematic for one of the nights b/c it filled up & I got re-directed to the "overflow" lot which was behind the hotel in a somewhat dingy surface lot. It was relatively close, but walking even the 0.5 block from the surface overflow lot to the hotel didn't feel all that safe--mostly because the only other person out at that time (12midnight) was someone hauling a shopping cart. This is a great place to stay for MD Anderson patients. The hotel transfers will bring you anywhere you need to go. Hospital trumps all other trips. Staff is very nice and very sympathetic with your needs. Cannot say enough kind words for them.

Dirty sheets, front desk charges me for the room I already payed for . Also told me I didn't have breakfast when I did

Clean, very comfortable, friendly, and best of all convenient to St. Luke's Hospital.

Great price and bumped us up to a suite with NO extra charge. Right by Houston Medical center very convenient.

there was a bandaid stuck to one of the towels. I'm glad I saw it before I used the towel. If not for this, I would have given the hotel a very good rating. The rooms were clean, the hotel was very nice, and the service was good, although we didn't use any services other than internet. The staff was nice.

This hotel is close to the Houston Med center, and is very accomodating with shuttles to access the stores and restaurants in the surrounding area. I would only rate the breakfast buffet as mediocre, especially for the price. The hotel does need updating..carpet, etc.and had some maintenance issues during my stay. We were in town for a couple of days to see the zoo, aquarium, and the children's museum. Staying in the medical center area was not the best idea in retrospect. I would not recommend staying here if you are not in the area for something "medical-related". The hotel was decent given its location, but we would have been more comfortable away from that […] area. The walls are very thing so you hear anything going on above or beside your room. Mehr

Nice clean hotel very convient to the medical center. Bed was to firm for my comfort but hubby had no problem with it. Coffee pot, microwave, frig and small kitchen was very convient as well. I was quite suprised how quiet it was. I live in the country on a secluded area of the lake, so I imagined the city noises and constant sirens would keep me awake […] all night. Very close to the Medical Center. We were slightly disappointed with the quality if the rooms for the price. Had a long wait to check in.

We were, for the most part, happy with our stay. We found the hotel room to be very comfortable and the shuttle service to be highly advantageous since we were there for medical reasons. We asked for adjoining rooms, and we received them, although the connecting door did not unlock. The only down side was the restruant. We attempted to eat dinner in […] there one night, but found the service to be very slow and the food to be less than expected. The hotel is old and the bathtub had mold around the caulking.

Good location. Reasonable price. Room clean. AC not very effective. Staff excellent. Shuttle service excellent. Restaurant/bar "so so" and not outstanding. No perks. Stayed at other hotels in same area and with more and better amenities for less price.

The hotel is an outstanding choice for those wishing to visit any of the medical facilties located in the area. The staff are a friendly team who go beyond the call of duty to ensure you are comfortable. I particularlywish to single out Travis and Saki from Reception, Wilfred, one of the Shuttle Drivers, and the Front Desk Manager on who was in office […] on the morning of Sunday July 31, 2011. She quickly responded to my complaint and had in the room which I had reserved via Hotels.com within 10 minutes of my call!! I will see you again and recommend others! Mehr

We took our kids to the houston zoo and natural science museum. This hotel being located in the middle of the medical district was extremely conveniant for us. The hotel was well kept. I will book there again if I will be in that area of town again.

Nothing frilly and fancy, but it was just what we needed being close to the Medical Center and the area. Hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean and ready for our late night check in. Beds were comfy as usual and over all it was spot on for what we needed. I did not use it, but the gym was very sparse with 2 treadmills and 2 stationary bikes, […] but lots of room for floor exercises. The washers & dryers seemed to be in good use by a few of the guests, so they appeared to work well. All in all. It met my needs for a check in and check out stay. Mehr

The price was reasonable and for what I paid, the hotel was great. Full sized fridge in the suite. Queen beds (which you never see anymore). Very clean. Would recommend.

We stayed for a night and were a little worried about noise from near by medical locations, however never heard a thing. Ate dinner and breakfast at restaurant in hotel very friendly staff but a little bit of a language barrior. Would stay again if in the area.

My family and I stayed there for a night, we had an appointment at Texas Children's. I was a little scared of Houston traffic, but the hotel is so close that it was less than 10 min away, no freeways necessary. The first room we got had a smoke smell lingering, they quickly changed us rooms. I couldn't figure out what a loud groaning sound was- it was […] the elevators, but I forgot about it inside the room so it wasn't that noticeable inside. The bar is super small, the margarita wasn't stellar. We needed more towels, those were brought up . They provided us with some restaurant delivery menus when I asked them, we ordered some chinese from a nearby restaurant. It was a good stay, clean and convenient. The Marriott was across a parking lot, but this room cost much less, and it was still clean and comfortable. Mehr

If you need a place that's close to Houston's Medical Center and doesn't cost too much (for extended or frequent visits, for example), this is a good choice. There are rooms with kitchenettes which are also good for staying longer periods of time. I very much appreciate that the internet is free. All hotels should offer this, because nowadays charging […] extra for it is equivalent to charging extra for cable TV! Kudos for this. Mehr

Ok hotel, elevator was being remodeled, added extra time to get to room. Room was by pay washer and dryers and ice machine at end of hall... Even with the room by these noisy appliances, it was quiet enough for me to get to sleep somewhat early. It was a very windy night and the windows whistled from the wind blowing on them outside...

Great location to surrounding hospital. Room was not properly stocked with towels/soap/ice bins. Loud hallways. You get what you pay for....

When walking in the lady said $8.99 and kids eat free which was fine but ended up paying $14 because we ate off of the mediocre "hot side". Honestly for the price it was an ok experience considering we were only 4 miles away from the Toyota center which was our destination. The night staff was really friendly and had no problems checking in.

Nothing was right and very unfriendly. Shuttle didn,t run to reliant stadium. Why mention how close you are to stadium if your not going to provide service to it. I was told they would take me to a tram. The taxi was bad enough.

The Holiday Inn on Main Street in Houston Texa was ver convenient to Methodist Hospital on Fannin. Very quiet room with all the stuff I needed. Cleaned daily. The staff was very helpful through-out my stay. I also want to thank the gentlemen who drive the shuttle bus to and from the hospitals everyday. This was a convenient service and much appreciated. […] The only thing I did not like was the daily charge to leave my car in the hotel parking lot. Mehr

The room was a disgrace!! I dropped my pen next to the bed and was horrified when I found pubic hair, a pistachio!, dust monsters and just plain dirt that my pen had landed on!!!! I left it there and it did not move!!! I spilt a cup of tea on the bed and asked for more sheets to remake the bed; the mattress was a disgrace! Such a waste of money!!

This was our first Houston vacation and the hotel's location helped make our visit enjoyable. Because of its downtown location, it was near many interesting attractions, shops and restaurants. The suite was very comfortable and spacious for our family of four.

Arrived at hotel and my room wasn't available so they upgraded me at no cost. Can't beat that! Overall I would stay here again if it was a one day trip or something. If I had to stay 3-4 nights, I might look for something else that has just a little more to offer.

I stayed in a non-smoking room and that's what i got but the room smelled like smoke so i doubt if they maintain it the way they should.
