Holiday Inn Westbury - Carle Place

Room was quiet and comfortable. Half of the gym equipment was broken and could not be used. Breakfast was free but the selection was a bit limited and the fruit was very limited. You wouldn't bring this fruit to your mother.

One of the friendliest and cleanest motels I have stayed in. Staff was very helpful. Easy to get to all the amenities needed. Close to the Coliseum and University.

Better than expected!

I would say I found this particular Holiday Inn a cut above most others. The staff was pleasant, the clerk was friendly and the room was clean. This was a last minute accommodation and I would have stayed additional nights but they were sold out (easy to see why!) . Hotel breakfasts are usually pathetic but not so with this location! I visit family […] in town often and they agreed- this is the place to recommend for price, service and overall experience. Mehr

Clean hotel with reasonable amenities. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Across the street from a shopping area with several restaurants and close to a major shopping mall.

The hotel was very accessible to everything! My family and I were accomodated right away and the front desk clerk who assisted me on that day when we checked in was very friendly and helpful. Great job Holiday Inn!

Hotel is great! Right across the street from a shopping center and restaurants. Breakfast was Ok. Lounge is great for a beer. 15 min drive to Queens and Whitestone New York.

MY ROOM NEEDED A DRESSER TO PUT OUR CLOTHES IN. WE HAD TO LIVE OUT OF OUR SUITCASES.

I've been to several Holiday Inns in the northeast, and this one is simply awful. The staff don't seem to care that people don't obey the "no smoking" signs. The doors to get into the hotel themselves were all broken so anyone could simply walk in without a room card. We had initially booked a non-smoking w/ a king size bed which suddenly became unavailable […] the evening we arrived. Were put in a handicap room next to said broken door, where people were lighting up, despite several prominently displayed "no smoking" signs. All in all, this was a horrific experience rectified only by hotels.com. Mehr

Great hotel for the price, good pool and facilities. Good shopping nearby plus choice of restaurants (Italian opposite very good). tHEN THE STORM.... A real tropical rain burst, thunder, lightening and all power off...... It went on and on for 16 hrs with service engineers everywhere tryinng to resolve the problem. No electricity, very hot so off to […] bed for a steam. In the mean time good staff attitude, free everything within reason... drinks torches snacks.... Power back at 6 am next day So check out next morning whoops left the washing in the wash machine area while no power and front desk sorted it all out, rewashed, dryed all free of charge oh then a free breakfast so decided not to complain as we checked out and just put it down to bad luck. Terrible shock 24 hrs later, my credit card had been attacked with a full refund from Hotels.com and Holiday Inn. Still celebrating the proceeds.. Thankyou Hotels.com and Holiday Inn a great team. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out...the hotel personnel were outstanding. The bed linens and POOL and continental breakfast and the Karaoke Friday night was the best! While we were only their for overnight we felt as though we were away on vacation. Great shopping too AND my favorite coffe place.. across the street....! I forgot […] my expensive cologne in the room upon check out and YES the housekeeping turned it in and they are mailing it back to me as I type. GREAT JOB to all who work at Holiday Inn at Westbury! Our rooms were clean, the neighborhood felt safe and friendly. I wasn't worried about local thugs breaking in our car (not that the area looked like it had that kind of crowd but hey it's the year 2011... movies suck, clubs are expensive and kids are bored... Crime is in and does provide lots of thrills at a minimal cost) so we slept well and left the […] next morning feeling like we had to come back for more - which is more than I expected from a place this close to NYC. Easy to find for us and larger inside than exterior looks. Nice dining room and courtyard. Room was comfortable and very clean.

Love the hotel, getting in and out of the parking lot was pretty dangerous.

When I booked this room I was told I was getting a suite with a living room. To my surprise when I entered my room it was not a suite but just a regular hotel room. I asked the clerk for 2 beds and got one king bed. Therefore my girlfriend had to find another place to stay. I feel I was cheated because I paid for 2 people with a suite and was left with […] a single room and my friend left. Mehr

Our purpose to stay in hotel is to visit our relatives who live in Garden City, Long Island. The recepptionists are very friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. Location is good, there is Westbury Mall nearby, we spend some shopping time there. Nice hotel, we will recomend to our friends. thanks.

The only thing was I requested for another TV remote because I had problems with it working at times. I told the front desk and they never changed it

This hotel was clean and easy to get in and out in a quick time-frame. Nice enough staff. Continental breakfast was not so great, but hey what can you do. BEST PART - NO BED BUGS! Thank god.

When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff was rude & my room was not ready at check-in time. I booked a non-smoking room, but received a smoking room. When I asked if I could get a non-smoking room, the girl replied "NO". I had called the hotel before booking to see if late checkout was available. She said I would have to see at check-in but […] it's not ever a problem to get late check-out. Late check-out was crucial to us because we were running a 1/2 marathon & needed to take a shower. The manager stated to us that we could not get late check-out. After much complaining, she finally allowed us to stay for 1 extra hour. When we arrived back at out hotel on Sunday, the locks were changed so we could not enter out room. We went to the lounge, where the staff was scarse & also rude. We are running again next year & definitely would not stay at this hotel ever again!!! Mehr

The rooms were huge, beds extremely comfortable, tons of pillows - both firm and soft. The hotel is maintained well and the staff helpful. 2-3 minutes from either Roosevelt Field Mall and the Source Mall. Definitely, a better choice than their competitors in the are having stayed at some.

Very Nice hotel, friendly staff, good price and great location

Just got back from a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Westbury. Because of it's affordale price I was not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised this is a great hotel. My experience was great from start to finish. I was greeted at the front desk by Cynthia. She was friendly and warm and provided me with information about the hotel and the area. […] She also signed me up for a free Priority Memebership that allowed me and my partner to access upgraded amenities such as a free drink at the bar each night, 20% off all meals in hotel resturant, late check out etc. Wow! it was great. The hotel itself is in good condition and VERY clean, as you walk down the halls the cleaning staff say hi and smile at you. Once I was in my room I smiled even more. It had a huge King bed, flat screen TV, a comfy chair a desk, dressers everything you need. I am very picky about bathrooms but this one was nice. It was clean with an awesome shower. It had great shower pressure and it was so relaxing after a long flight. This hotel is a shopper's paradise! Across the street is a Marshalls (discount name brand, clothes and shoes), Walmart, a huge mall with Old Navy, SAks outlet. And for the shoe person next to the hotel is the biggest DSW I have ever seen!! I was in heaven. There was also lots of places to eat. Across from the hotel there is a Ruby Tuesday, Olive Garden, Boston Market, Burger King, there a great diner called the Majestic (open 24hours), Cheese Cake Factory and a Cold Stone Creamery (best ice cream in the world!) The hotel is about 20-30min from JFK. We drove into the city all the time and found it close enough too all the sights but without all the busy traffic when you want to relax. There is transit to get to downtown but I think you really need a car if you plan to tour around. Back to the hotel, they have free Wifi and brand new gym, free contential breakfast, and 24hour business centre where you can check email, print, all for free!!! It also has a nice patio wher Mehr

I ws attending a high school reunion and did not want to stay too far away from where the vent was being held. Unfortunately, my old high school is not in the bestof neighborhoods and therefore I was concerned about finding a decent hotel. I reluctantly settled on HOliday Inn Westbury because it was one of the more affordable one. I was afraid that […] it would be les than what I a customed. Iwaspleasantly surprised. Room service, although somewhat expensive, was fast and good. This shotel overall was a good value for the price. Mehr

Management unhelpful in resolving issues

This hotel had great shopping within a short walk. Great. Unfortunately, the lounge and restaurang was under rennovation.
