Die Verkehrsanbindung ist schlecht, weil das U-Bahnnetz von New York auf dem Hinweg nur mit Bus und auf dem Rückweg nur mit Bus und/oder Taxi erreichbar ist. So war alles soweit ok.

just next to G bridge. Close to korean town. Hotel was clean.

The hotel personnel were very nice. The room was clean but there was so much road noise and hotel equipment noise that sleep was nearly impossible. The previous week I stayed at another 3-star hotel chain and it far surpassed this hotel. I would not recommend staying at this location for the money.

Old building in older neighborhood, but maintained well. Free breakfast turned to a $20 value limit for two. Nice stay.

I read a few reviews about this hotel not supplying enough towels. You would think if I read them, the hotel management would too. I also did not have a towel in my room when I got there, nor did I have any the second day of my stay. What's up with that???

I would stay here again. It is great to leave my car here while visiting the city on the bus and train. The only downside was there are no buses coming back from the drop off in Fort Lee to the hotel, so we had to take a taxi every time averaging about $10 with tip. We usually drive into Fort Lee to get breakfast then come back that hotel before taking […] the bus across the bridge at $6. Otherwise, I have enjoyed the stay here. Mehr

This was a lovely motel to stay at. Very very clean all of the staff where so helpfull and nothing you asked was a problem.

My only com complaint was that my comforter had hair on it. They did give me another one. The staff was friendly and helpful. The manager gave us directions to get to Harlem, and suggested we get a map of the subway. The location is just before the George Washington Bridge. The toll is $12.00. There is a shuttle that takes you to the subway, but it […] does stop running at a certain time. My overall stay was postiive. Food was good. You are only 10 minutes from the subway, and it was not far from Time Square. If you want to save money, this is a good choice. Mehr

Some things, elevators and vending machines, were dated. The location was perfect, very convenient to the Bronx. The room was spacious and clean. Room service was good and pricing affordable.

Nice hotel next to the George Washington Bridge. Easy access to Yankee Stadium and Manhattan. Felt the hotel staff did not have much knowledge of the area and different modes of transportation, especially for handicapped people. Clean hotel with a restaurant and bar near the front lobby. Room was comfortable with a nice LCD tv. The rate was reasonable and the location is convenient when visiting NYC.

if you can avoid this hotel do so, it is not worth the 3 or 4 starts that Hotel.com rated. i do not know what to grade worse, the fact that i pay for a room that i didnt get, the poor customer service, the early morming noise from the room construction that went all the way to 6:00 pm or the fact that the toilet leaked all night, the phone didnt work […] and the noisy refrigerator. if you can avoid this hotel do it, pay the extra $50 to stay in a much better hotel. i should have but i was already commited for that weeked. Right off of I-95, very close to the Bronx and downtown attractions. Clean, quiet rooms and very affordable for NYC trips. Restaurant in the building and gas station/convenience store right next door. Will stay here again!

This hotel is in desperate need of refurbishing. The carpets are pretty disgusting, the hotel itself smells from years of smoking guests, and the condition of the bathroom fixtures are scratched and scarred. However, the staff were helpful and friendly. The shuttle driver was outstanding--even waiting for me as I rushed to pick up items in my room […] to make it to the last departure. Mehr

Access is very inconvenient - state highway. So, you have to make a u-turn if you're coming from one direction, and not the other. Outside of hotel is completely rebuilt, but they didn't touch the inside.

Shuttle to Samsung, comport room, cheap breakfast, free WLAN access, free printing documents, etc. More than that, employees are very nice and kind.

The only thing would be to give a clear indication to how to get to the hotel FROM Manathan, cause to go around in Fort Lee at night, lost, is not a fun thing, but when you know the "loop secret", it's an easy thing and the location of the hotel becomes really convenient

After spending double the rate at a mid-town hotel for a room the size of a closet, with little or no amenities, moving to a Holiday Inn just minutes from the GW Bridge in NJ was the smartest move I made. Rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Lots of towels and decent wireless. Plus free parking. The neighborhood? Fugedaboudit, as they say. It's on […] a state highway with nothing to walk to, but as a decent mid-range hotel, this Holiday Inn fit the bill nicely. Of course, you need to factor in the bridge toll if you're planning on going into NYC by car, and the hotel van charges a pretty penny for shuttling you into Manhattan. But still, it's a lot cheaper and more comfortable than a typical hotel in NYC. Mehr

They've really kept this place up well. It was a good value for the money and the room was modern, clean and confortable. Nice bar open until 11:30 also... I will stay there next time I'm visiting New York - much simpler than trying to stay in town. Just a couple minutes from the Bronx.

i always use holiday inn whenmy family and i travel but this was our worst experience. the employee was rude and very unprofessional. i was very disappointed with the rooms. they put us in a smoking when i requested for a non-smoking my lil brother was coughing the whole night. i am so very dissappointed. this was my worst experience in a hotel. after […] paying all that money i was soo upset i did not book another hotel....i hated my stay there and i will never do it again.. The hotel is off a busy hwy...very difficult to get in and out of the city. I was very confused on the public transportation instructions given by the hotel staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. One thing that I was very upset about is while I was occupying the room, a male staff member tried to come in unannounced to check on my towels...that […] was not pleasant considering I'm a female staying alone. Anyhow, it took forever to get the front desk to let them know what happened...they changed my keys and brought them up for me. Well, to make a long story short...I ended up not staying at the hotel and wasted my $ on the room. I would recommend staying in the city if you want to be close to everything. Mehr

Old and outdated. Bathroom was the smallest I have ever had in a U.S. hotel! Plaster on ceiling was peeling and could easily be touched (if I wanted to)--very claustrophobic, pedestal sink. Room did not seem to be vacuumed daily, either. Did supply refrig/microwave in room.

Hotel is an average night stay. Coffee in the lobby and in room was good. Bed was not so comfortable. Easy on and off on Route 4.

We needed a place to stay after an evening flight arrival at Newark on the way north. This was adequate, but I've been in nicer/better Holiday Inns. I booked a higher than lowest class room ("Leisure King") and it was not very nice. AC worked but was very loud (in wall unit). Internet did not work until the morning (the informed me of the outage when […] I checked in) though this could have been Hurricane Irene related. This must be a pricey area given the amount we paid and the quality of the accommodation, but given the same options I might choose it again. However there was a better hotel just a few properties down the road that did not appear in my search (fully booked perhaps). Mehr

Located right on the Jersey side of GW Bridge is good but the surrounding neighborhood is not at all pedestrian friendly and not very interesting or beautiful. It's not scary though either. The lobby is decently renovated and nice. Our room was poorly renovated sometime recently and a bit rough around the edges. It was clean but had a musty old cigarette […] hotel smell to it. Our room was non-smoking and very clean. However, as soon as the elevator door opened, we were hit with smoke smell that went throughout the floor. I was stuffed up completely from that point on. Also, booking on Hotel.com stated breakfast was included but it apparently did not cover our whole party of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) so i ended up paying $21.00 […] for coffee & OJ. I'll book with a non-smoking hotel next time. Mehr

We had a diagnostic procedure at Columbia NY Presbyterian Hospital. We live 1.5 hours away (without traffic), and I didn't want any additional stress for my wife with getting there on time. We left the hotel at 7:10am and were waking into the hospital at 7:40am after parking at the Fort Washington Garage (less than 1/2 block away). We allowed 1 hour […] to be there by 8am and had no problem getting to and crossing the GW bridge (20 minutes max). The hotel was fine, clean, quiet (4th floor room away from elevator, ice machine, vending machine). Very comfortable king bed. Small but adequate bathroom. This fulfilled what we wanted. Mehr
