We were very in satisfied with our stay. When we got there we were put in a smoking room when I requested a non-smoking room. They never cleaned our bathroom totally. They replaced towels only but didn't give us any more toilet paper or hand towels. We had four woman in the room and ran out of toilet paper. Unacceptable!! We requested a blanket and […] was told you were out of blankets. How can a hotel not have enough blankets??? The only good thing was the vallet parking attendants. They were awesome. Mehr

We had booked our room thur hotels.com and requested a non-smoking room, upon arrival we were informed that we could not request the a certain type of room thru hotels.com. so we ended up in a smoking room. We were also asked to initial a form,( that did not look like it was a standard form), stating charges for late check-out of $50 which was ok, in […] addition there would be a $75 charge, in addition to the amount already paid for the room, for early check-out. That really does not make any sense. The TV would only work part time and the A/C was very loud and would only cool to a certain point. The front desk was slow and not very helpful. We will not recomment this hotel to anyone. Mehr

The hotel staff is very impolite and unhelpful I highly UNRECOMEND this hotel.

Booked a nonsmoking room... got stuck in smoking room. Disappointed I had to smell that stench for two days, but other than that everything was fine . Great location in downtown.

Room was nice. Location was nice. Mandatory valet parking was obsurd, and an unexpected charge to move your vehicle each time, was an unpleasent surprise. Will not stay there again strictly because of the valet parking sceme.

Umm i believe yall need to do away with valet parking. On my recent trip i discovered that my truck now has a HUGE scratch down my passenger side of my truck, i jus bought my vehicle 2 mths ago and i can tell you i am one mad mad very mad lady to have to look at that everyday!!!!

Location is ideal! Quick walk to Centenial Park, Phillips Arena, WCC, Coke, GA Aquarium. Staff was very nice. Enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant.

I had a very bad experience. A lady at front desk wanted to give me a smoking room even I had reservation for non -smoking, After one hour in room there a fire alarm. TV was not working and very loudly halls. The breakfast and waitresses were very helpful and food was great.

The hotel was centrally located for all of my needs. The service and staff were wonderful. The restaurant service and food was great. I would stay there again . Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed 3/30/12-4/01/12 The first thing that went wrong is that I was given a smoking room. At first I thought it must have been my mistake, but I checked my confirmation later that day after check-in and I was specifically confirmed for a non-smoking room. I'm not a complainer, so I just let it go, but I regretted not complaning because the smell got […] on some of the clothes I laid out. The hallway also didnt smell so nice, but that was probably because I was in a smoking section. The bathtub was somewhat clogged. I had to wait quite a bit for service at the restaurant. A family that was waiting to be seated longer than me finally gave up and went elsewhere. Maybe I expected too much but the "24hr shop" that was advertised consisted of one refridgerator and one shelf with candy and chips by the front desk. I was a litte disappointed when I came back to my room hungry late at night. The good things abou this hotel is that it is in a convenient location and the value is decent. The staff is also friendly. It is generally a nice well-kept hotel, but the whole smoking room thing just ruined my experience and set the stage for the rest of my stay. If it weren't for that, I might have recommended the hotel. This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn, and I will tend to avoid it in the future. Mehr

Make sure you get a non smoking room bc they have smoking floors and it is awful. They were sold out but thankfully there was a cancellation. I found out hotels.com doesn't guarantee it will be the room you pick it is just if it is available so be careful.

If you want to be in the center of town, here's your place. Nice location, nice rooms and a great price! Plus, you're just a short walk to Centenial Park and if you have kids, make sure they bring their water shoes.

My wife and I stayed here on a Monday night and we were thrilled that it was so close to everything we were in town to see. We were right in the middle of downtown Atlanta, and walked to Phillips Arena, Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Olympic Park, and the CNN Center. Holiday Inn offers onsight valet parking for a slightly higher rate then surrounding lots, which was worth it to us because we didn't have to fight to find a place that would allow us to park overnight. The only thing that I was dissapointed about was the size of the room. It was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The largest bed the hotel offers is a queen, so sleeping was uncomfortable for a couple who has always slept on a king. I never do these! The hotel was great had nice stay, staff was very nice, room good! My complaint is the doors slamming!!! Plz. fix - put weather stripping something the noise from slamming doors all night kept me up!

You should book directly with te hotel. I found that the rate was the same as hotel.com but I DID NOT GET REWARD POINTS with this hotel because I booked through hotels.com. My family and I chose this hotel b/c it was close to the GA Aquarium and we did not want to do much driving, as we are not accustomed to big city driving!! Since I had not visited this area before, I was very unsure of how convenient the location I selected for my visit was going to be. I hit the nail on the head with this hotel in every aspect. Rooms were clean and comfortable and I cannot express to you how exceptional the staff was during our visit. My trip was basically going to consist of going to […] the aquarium, the zoo and the museum of natural history three consecutive days, which were all supposed to be close to where this hotel was located. I did not have to get my car from valet once in 3 days. We walked across the street through Centennial Park which was gorgeous in every sense of the word (we visited the park every evening after dinner of our stay and all the kids and parents at the park were very friendly). Water pools and waterfalls, dancing and music with water, parks, open field to play. The aquarium was a right and then a left and we were there. Get there early if you don't want to wait in line or buy a ticket ahead of time. I recommend a City Pass that you can go to several local attractions for a heavily discounted price. The zoo was 2-1/2 miles away and an easy walk for my 9 year old and i while I pushed my son in a stroller. All the people we passed were friendly. As for the hotel staff, the valet was friendly with my car, the check in was easy. My room was unspecified when reserved, so they changed my room to two beds the second night because none were available at check in, but with the single chair that opened to a sleeper, my daughter slept in that and my young son with me and the room layout was nice so it was really not a huge inconvenience. The second room with the two beds also had a nice layout, but the bathroom door wouldn't lock so I didn't have any Mommy privacy, but other than that all was great. This is an obviously older Holiday Inn. It is showing its age a little, but overall, was a fine experience at a very reasonable price for downtown Atlanta. I would go back and would recommend it to others. Clean, safe, good neighborhood, close to variety of restaurants and to MARTA.

HAD A GREAT TIME WILL STAY THERE AGAIN

Thought I was getting a non smoking room but didn't. I think they switch my room for someone else then offered me a single bed room that was non smoking but that would accommodate 4 adults. Was not very happy.

Great location. Within walking distance to the Georgia Dome and the Aquarium, CNN building, Coke tour, etc.

Great stay. Friendly staff. Within walking distance to CNN center, Philips Arena, GWCC, and Georgia Dome. Many food choices within walking distance. Will return to Holiday Inn Downtown my next trip to Atlanta.

stayed 2 nights recently and have no complaints, was close to several things to do and the staff was really great.

Everything was great with our stay and the hotel except our original room had someone in it smoking dope. The hotel apologized, got us a new room, and provided our entire party with a free breakfast. The other people were charged $200 for smoking in a non smoking room. The staff was awesome and the location is great.

I go to Atlanta 5 or 6 times a year, and it was my first experience at this hotel. I will never go again! There were a number of young people staying at the hotel, and they were up running in the corridors screaming and shouting until past 3 AM. I called the front desk repeatedly from 1:00 AM until well after 2:00 AM but no one answered. In the morning […] when I brought this up to the front desk they gave me one of those “Oh sorry about that” apologies that don’t mean anything, and it was said as the clerk handed me my bill. Even without the kids there were issues. It was cold out, and the heater was so loud that I finally shut it off, but it wouldn’t go off. And the windows leaked and whistled all night as well. They had no red wine at the bar. I suggest you avoid this hotel. Mehr

Our room was fine, but we had some serious maintenance issues. When we arrived, the elevators were broken resulting in our luggage having to be taken up an outdoor set of service stairs. One of my roommates winter white pants were dragged up the stairs. The staff was very friendly and as helpful as could be expected even when we needed our sink to be […] unplugged twice, but they seemed underprepared to handle large volumes of people as we experienced extremely long waits for bell service. They ended up bringing us a cart for us to load and move our items downstairs ourselves. We got such great rates on the room compared to other nearby hotels that we felt like it was a give and take so overall it was okay, but if you are travelling on days when you know that large groups will be checking in and out at the same time, you maight want to weigh the pros and cons yourselves. I had asked for two double beds and got a King Bed instead. This did not create a problem, but could have if my roommate had attended the event with me.

This hotel charged me over $1,000 for incidentals when the actual bill was only $85. Don't stay here unless you want to be a victim of credit card fraud.

I think somewhere in the description of the hotel, it should mention the wonderful $20 a day parking charge. I was not happy with this charge at all because I thought it was included in the hotel room. This charge is insane! I can't believe I found a hotel that charges more for parking than Hawaii. I'll never book this hotel again!!

The hotel and staff were great the location was great. Would highly recommend to anyone.

walking distance from MARTA, the aquarium, Tabernackle, Peachtree Street. Elevators kept going out but otherwise no problems.

The staff was awesome, the aquarium, the world of coca cola, the CNN, the main restaurants, bars and enjoyable places and many other areas are only steps away, the location is awesome, the Internet is free, the parking is free, the bar is great, the room is confi, the FLAT HD LED TV was good, the GYM was nice, the bathroom was very complete, the room […] was very clean, there was no noises, wakeup call on time, the pillows are as requested, the air as requested, the computer room have printers at no cost, the lobby is great and most of all, at a fraction of the cost of all other hotels in the nearby area. If you want a great hotel for a decent price, this is the option. I came for a business trip and I have to say, this hotel is great and the price is very good. I have been in many hotels in the area and so far, many are not like this and cost more, but most of all, when the staff is good, the rest is all good. Mehr
