Everyone loved the hotel and the staff was very friendly. Will stay with this hotel again.

For the price, this hotel was an excellent choice. It's not too fancy, but it has everything you need. Restaurant food is fantastic, and the pool area is very nice. We attempted to go to the restaurant at a very busy breakfast time and were not able to get seated - the manager offered to discount our dinner if we returned that evening. Exceptional customer […] service that was very much appreciated considering the restaurant did nothing wrong (they were simply too busy!). The location is easy to find off of the hiway, but there is not much close by (walking distance) in terms of restaurants, shopping or coffee shops. Mehr

Room was fine, breakfast adequate. but somewhat overpriced. Lots of kides, big pool, Jacuzzi, kiddie pool. For us the baby crying in the night in room nearby was our only complaint. I have stayed her before as well as my family as we all visit my mother. This last visit my kids were attacked by BRD BUGS!!! The hotel has confirmed it and the corperate office was trying to fire the women who told us that it is true that the room had a major infestation. The corperate office called us liars but first the asked us to put together a […] cost to fumigate our house and hotel to stay away after the numbers were in they told us to kick rocks!!! The room was large and spacious with an opportunity to cook in your room. Room was immaculate and comfortable. Most of all, the rate for the room was a value. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Santa Maria, CA!

One of the better hotels in Santa Maria. Great location, great staff, clean ..... definitely will stay here again.

Hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the bartender knows how to make a great bloody Mary. Staff was very polite. I hope to go back sometime soon. Michele

We chose to stay in Santa Maria so we could do a circuitous route to the Mission in Lompoc, Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez ( and Solvang!) and back. Worked just fine. Staff was friendly. Our standard room had a kitchenette that we did not use but would have been great for a family. Staff was friendly and polite, responded quickly to calls for extra condiments […] and the coffeemaker replacement. Wish they had better coffee though ! Mehr

A great place for an in between stop over. Clean and spacious suites. A fridge, mini kitchen is a plus.

Stayed one night. Nice to have a small kitchenette. Clean room.

Very nice hotel. Great pool, large clean rooms, and friendly staff.

The second we walked into the room we saw little beetle like bugs (not sure exactly what they were) crawling in the bathroom and kitchen areas. We called other hotels in the area and none had any rooms that worked for us. So we were stuck at the Holiday Inn. To the staff's credit they were good about moving us into a new room very far from the first. […] The new room had no bugs. Overall the place is older and needs to be renovated with higher end, cleaner looking materials. I would not stay there again. There is a candlewood and marriot suites right across the street from them that we will stay in next time. Mehr

I was very surprised when I entered the room. I could live in a place like that indefinately. Need I say more, it has everything you need.

Room was great but situations were poor. I had 4 problems the were an inconvience. First, the toliet was clogged before we got to the room. They sent maintenance to fix but continued to have problem. The first day, I had luke warm water for the shower. I showered late in the morning but should have had some hot water. After the first day, hotel ran […] out of towels. We had one towel and wash cloth so we had to call the desk which they delivered another set at 10pm. On the last morning, my internet would not work. The internet setting is setup for days staying at hotel and not for checkout time. So if you were staying one day, the first night there, you get internet but according to them, the next day is a 2nd day for you but you have until noon to checkout. So no internet after midnight. Room was great, good condition. Beds were great and kitchen in the room was in fantastic condition. Besides the little problems we had, the hotel was good. The front desk could be a little more receptive to the problems. I felt like I was bother the front desk people instead of them serving me. I give the overall a 3 but the room is a 5! Mehr

The rooms at this place are awesome! I walked in to find a nice kitchenette and king bedroom, with balcony and sliding door. Everything was extremely comfortable. When I was too tired to go out to dinner, I called downstairs to Portabello's and ordered a pizza. It was delivered to the room very quickly and was EXCELLENT! This is a good, clean, reasonably-priced hotel to stay. There's not much to visit in an immediate surrounding area. Vandenberg Air Force base is nearby so if you have a family member there, this would be an ideal place to stay. 15 miles north is Pismo Beach and another 10 miles from Pismo is San Luis Obispo. There is really nothing to do in Santa Maria, but we had to be there for a conference. I would say this Hokiday Inn Suites is one of the best hotels to stay at in Santa Maria. It is very clean and all the rooms are suites. They have a mini kitchen in them, which is handy to save money on eating out. There is also a pool and jacuzzi at the hotel. It […] is close to the freeway, which makes it easy to go to other locations like Santa Barbara which is 1 hour away.We drove there 5 days out of 8 days. Mehr

Beds and pillows are exceptionally comfortable. Overall loved it. Would stay again.

Our room was awesome, and more then expected as far as amenities. However, the first morning that we were there the hair dryer started to spark and smoke as I was drying my hair. The second thing that happened was our latrine kept clogging up. Which was such a pain. Other then that the overall stay was great. The beds were really nice. We put our bags in the room and went to dinner. When we returned we couldn't open the door. After two trips to desk for new keys, they called the maintenance man. He worked on the door for about 8 to 10 minutes and left to reprogram the door. He returned about 15 minutes later with new keys. He finally was able to open the door. We moved to another […] room one floor down. In the middle of the night the phone rang and asked what our name was. My wife slammed the phone down. The someone knocked on the door. In the morning we went to breakfast in the hotel. When we returned the key wouldn't work. I went to the desk. The young lady checked the keys and said they were locked out. She said she couldnt give me new ones because we were not registered in that room. I said just get a maintenance man to take us up so that we could brush our teeth and get our bags. Here only answer was we were not registered in that room so she couldn't do that. I then lost it and started screaming at her. She eventually called the manager at home. I explained the situation whereupon she told the clerk to have the maintenance man to let us in to get our things. I told the manager that I wanted my money back, which she readily agreed. The mechanical part can happen anywhere. The lack of professional care made this a disaster. The clerk who gave the maintenance man the keys to the new room. The person in the middle of the night was not made aware of the room change. Finally, the day clerkdidn't know how to solve the problems. While I was yelling at her, the day maintenance man came by and had been working on the lock to the old room. He verified to the clerk but she froze until she received instructions from the manager. Stayed overnight on a trip visiting Cal Poly and UCSB. Rates here were much better than those in either SLO or SB, and the room was great. Much bigger than expected with full kitchen and big bath. Also very clean. Had a good breakfast in the lounge - reasonable prices for a hotel and with very good sized portions.

The staff at this hotel were awesome. We didn't know the area well and asked for good places to eat. The were very accommodating and gave us several choices in the local area. We picked a steakhouse they recommended and were not disappointed! The food and service was fabulous! The hotel is right off the freeway and easy to get to. We will stay there […] again. Mehr

We came here to go ATVing at Pismo Beach and we only stayed one night. The hotel was very clean and the kitchenette was very nice to have. For a 3 star hotel, it was a lot nicer than I had expected. It was nice splitting the cost with 3 other people. I'd stay here again and recommend it to others.

This is the second time we have stayed in the last month. The front desk staff, maintenance, and restraunt/bar staff have been very helpful. This hotel is a little out of the way but it has a lot of good things too. All rooms have a kitchenette and so you can go to the grocery stores that are 2 blocks away and cut your vacation costs a little that way. […] We will definitely stay again. Mehr

Nice hotel, in a nice area just off the 101 fwy. Checked in and got settled in on a cold rainy night. Turned on the heater, and it work fine for a little while. Then we cut the lights to get some shut eye, and we got a boom from the heater and smoke. Call the front desk to report it, and they came up to check it out, and unplugged it. We had just got […] there, so we pack it up and move to the new room. A little rattled… we got some sleep. No other problems the rest of the night. Figure it was a fluke, and I would stay again.
