Poco Diablo Resort - Sedona

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb von Sedona in einer wunderschönen Umgebung. In der Mitte des Hotels in ein kleiner Golfplatz angelegt, der die grüne Lunge des Hotels darstellt. Darum herum sind die Hotelzimmer angelegt. Einige Zimmer liegen etwas abseits davon um den Pool herum. Das Hotelrestaurant hat eine schöne Außenterasse mit Blick auf den "Park" […] - herrlich, wenn man abends in Ruhe einen Rotwein trinken möchte. Unsere Kinder haben in den Teichen des "Parks" Frösche und junge Enten beobachtet. Der Pool war ok, es gibt jedoch schönere Poolanlagen. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Hotel mit tollen Zimmern in ruhiger Lage. Kann ich mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Mehr

The property is a little dated, but is clean and nice. Really liked the sleep number bed...

Just there overnight. Motel dated but well maintained. Price, even at small discount was too high for over all quality.

Felt too much like I was staying in a time share. Hotel and room were clean and nice. Staff was ok, seemed a little under staffed. Pool was a mess and they hadn't turned off the pool heater, felt like I was in a big tub.

We had originally booked a standard King room, it was quite decent, but after checking out the room, we decided to upgrade to a more romantic room with a better view (and incidentally, an in-room jet/spa tub). It was well worth it overall, and still would have been even had we stayed in our original room. Being within walking distance to more attractions […] would have been a plus, but as it is, it is a very short drive to almost anywhere in Sedona. Mehr

Family vacation to Sedona and loved the property. The location was in a great location as it was close to all of the tradidtional tourist spots: Uptown, Cathedral Rock, the majority of the vortexes, Cathedral Rock. Plus Oak Creek, runs behind the property and the grounds are very well kept and beautiful. Everyone who worked at the property was amazing, […] especially Cindy Knight at the front desk. She was so helpful and was very enthusiatic about sharing her love of the area. Great area, great hotel. I would highly recommend it! Mehr

The Hotel is out of sedona downtonw. If you like outdoors, it has an excelent location. They should improve the quality of the food in the restaurant. The Gym needs new equipment. All the other aspects of the hotel are excelent.

Tons of amenities. Good location. Great staff. All and all a great place. I will go back.

Great hotel! Don't like sleep number beds.

We stayed at Poco Diablo over our spring break and found the staff to be very friendly. We got an upgrade on our room to the second floor with a decent view. The hotel was conveniently located on Route 179 just a little south of shopping and restaurants. The beds were Sleep Number and comfortable. The room was spacious, with plenty of room for 2 adults […] and a 3 year old. Good value for the money. We would stay again and would recommend to friends. Mehr

Staff was helpful and pleasant. Room as impeccable, clean, and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at this hotel in Sedona, AZ. We were pleased with our experience. On check-in we were offered a room with a king-sized bed even though we had had to book a queen room online (no king rooms had been available.) Our room was very spacious and clean. It opened onto a patio over-looking the resort's golf course--very […] nice! We didn't use the pool due to cold temperatures but we did work out in the gym, which was basic but adequate. One complaint: the hotel restaurant closes at 9 pm sharp (when we often eat dinner while on vacation) but we were graciously accommodated for dinner in the hotel bar, so it worked out okay. This was a great last minute choice on a place to stay in Sedona...the only problem was that we were only there for 1 night! I will definitely choose this hotel again when returning for a longer vacation. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Despite all of the negative comments, I found the opportunity to try a sleep number bed was a plus […] when choosing this hotel. I now know I prefer my pillowtop, but it was nice to try something different. Overall, I thought this was a great resort and my only regret is not having more time to spend there. Mehr

Poco Diablo was a pleasant surprise. Clean, comfortable, a jacuzzi & a fireplace in the room and very scenic red rocks in Sedona. Some places can be a disappointment, but PD was not. Since I am a lifelong resident in beautiful Az, I visit and take friends and family often to Sedona. I am a designated tour guide. LOL I look forward to staying at PD  […] again. Mehr

We were there one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Got a free upgrade to a delux room which was wonderful, with fridge, granite, linens, view, unexpected luxury. You feel you are in the mountains instead of steps from downtown Sedona.

Hotel staff were very friendly and upgraded us. The room was very spacious looking over the central golf area but the heating system was extremely noisy. Plastic glasses are not acceptable and refrigerator was not clean. The hotel needs a facelift.

Poco is in a lovely quiet setting. . The steps and hallway to our room was in dire need of repair and paint. Upon arriving to our room we checked out the view. We had a great view of the golfcourse but what a mess on the lawn right outside our patio. Obviously someone had been doing some construction and left scrapings behind of paint and stucco. There […] was also a rake left behind in the sand just beyond our area. There were gouges in our furniture, walls, etc. and this was an "upgrade" or so we were told. Our sleep member beds must have been some of the first! We had troubles with the controls but finally were able to find something that worked except that one of the queen beds had a "flat" on one side. The staff was very helpful. They were what made this a good stay. I was pretty disappointed but my friends were very happy. Mehr

Myself and a friend went for New Years Eve for a girls weekend... they have Sleep Number beds, which essentially feel like a high end air mattress. It was the worst sleep I have had in a long time. We had planned on going away for two nights but we were so tired we checked out and went home so we could sleep in our own beds. I loved the resort but won't […] stay there due to the horrid sleep. The hotel rooms need updating an are in need of some maintenance. Examples are; wood trim falling off, particle board exposed, grime build up around bathroom door floor, bathroom door with water rot at bottom, several other little things that make up one big review. We decided last minute to extend our vacation to Sedona and looked for a last minute deal on a hotel. Poco Diablo was well reviewed and we got a good deal so gave it a shot. We had a wonderful stay! The room was big and clean. My wife had a great message at the hotel (not a spa, but nice) and I got to play 9 holes of golf with my two boys on their executive […] course. The location was good, not great, but Sedona is so small nothing was more than a 5-10 minute car ride away. We highly recommend and will book here again if we ever find ourselves in Sedona. Mehr

Very kind customer service at arrival, but accidentally gaves us key to occupied room. I called and they were sorry and got another room. It's a little cumbersome if you need stroller access to go thru all the winding ramps. But overall, good experience.

Great location. Beautiful property. Rooms were very clean and very nicely decorated. One of the jacuzzis was broken. Also the thermostat in the room is difficult to understand - would be nice if they have a cheat sheet pinned besided the thermostat.

The resort was very nice. It was clean and located very close to all activities in Sedona. There was very little interaction between us and the staff after check in. Very nice if you wanted privacy. They are a bit expensive, however the acomodations were in line with the rates including sleep number bed, luxurious bathrobes for guests and many ammenidies. […] We enjoyed Our Stay. Mehr

Poco Diablo is an oasis in Sedona! Located in the heart of this amazing town, Poco Diablo is a budget friendly place to saturate yourself in Red Rock Country! The rooms were clean and spacious, and the decor was quite inviting. I was fortunate to be located directly in front of a fountain, so i was treated to the relaxing sounds of trickling water all […] evening. The staff is welcoming and most helpful! We had a casita which was really lovely. The hotel in general needs some TLC. We had to leave the restaurant for breakfast because it would be over 30 minutes before we could get served due to lack of staffing.

The only issue with this place was the sleep number bed! Did not like the bed at all, when you check in ask if any of the rooms do not have the sleep number bed! Other then the bed this place is great! The resturants in the hotel are really good and the pool and hot tub are great!

This was first trip to Sedona and didn't know much about the area. Picked Poco Diablo because of the reasonable price. As it turned out, the location was ideal--about 5 minutes drive into the main shopping area of Sedona. Sedona is quite small so nothing is too far away. The room was fabulous. Seemed to be recently updated, it was really clean, nice […] linens, and the room size was quite large. Poco Diablo also has a golf course and lighted tennis courts. Casual nice place to stay. Mehr

Hotel is located just outside of downtown Sedona so you must drive to get to places, but it is for the best. The golf course is absolutely beautiful and adds to the beauty to its location. The restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. We stayed in the Spa Suite. I highly recommend it for a romantic get away. The spa and fireplace add a romantic […] touch to the room. This hotel was a very nice surprise as it was booked on short notice and unseen. We can not fault the location , staff or facilities there. I have read other comments about the place being dated but it was well looked after.. We will stay there again on our next visit to Sedona. Great Happy Hour.

Mary at the front desk was wonderful, her customer service skills were perfect. The entire staff was very helpful. The room was super nice and spacious, the sleep number bed was so comfortable, and the view was wonderful. The location of this hotel is close to Uptown, Slide Rock and all the great restaurants. I will stay here every time we visit Sedona […] and I will tell everyone I know to stay here. Mehr

My wife and I went here on a birthday celebration and everything sounded good from the details and looked good from the pictures. Don't be fooled though, this "resort" is very old and they haven't done too much to keep it up. Also, all of the rooms open up to the outside, which was not very convenient. We stayed in a "Garden" room, which I thought was […] going to have a view of the golf course, which by the way is only a 9 hold crappy course. When we were shown how close our room was to a jacuzzi I was really excited, until we saw the jacuzzi and don't know when it was last cleaned or if it could even hold 2 people. Overall I was very disappointed with our stay and would have liked a Best Western instead. Mehr

I tend to be picky when it comes to hotels. I would definitely stay at Poco Diablo again! The room was clean, smelled fine and everyone I came in contact with was very kind and helpful.
