Our television wasn't tuned in properly and when we ordered room services it arrived cold. The club room - which is the private bar area you are allowed to use if you get the club deal - was un supervised. Very good and a good walk to shopping centre, park convenient. Water in fridge of hotel room very appreciated also.

Reminded me very quickly of why I hate hotels - noisy, blowy air conditioning & stuffy as hell when switched off; disturbed a huge collection of dust on the top of the high headboard - when chasing a varmint that must have come through the window I opened in desparation; stained cushions (dread to think what that was), dire menus, some bar and reception […] staff pretty snooty and up themselves (hell knows why!) but others absolutely great. Excellent hotel, but had about a15 -20 minute booking in time because they did not know if my room was ready at 16.30 in the afternoon.and got asked to pay for morning papers on 1 morning that i had not ordered,they were eventually taken of the bill.

Lovely hotel. We had booked a family room and it was a great size. We ate in the restuarant as we arrived late, the food was gorgeous, slightly expensive but worth it. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, even for a 10month old baby. Went swimming only although the sauna & jacuzzi looked lovely. Godd facilities overall

I booked the hotel on a bank holiday Monday for me and fiancé to get away from London madness. As soon as we got there the hotel staff were really friendly, reassuring and very comforting. They explained everything with patience such as advice on where to go, eat, drink, transport. Breakfast was booked nite before at discounted rate! I booked this hotel for a one night stay for my inlaws as they was seeing a show in The Hexagon. They had a fantastic time and highly praised the hotel and it's staff. They said that it was a brilliant location, check in was easy and swift and the facilities were great. They enjoyed the pool/spa experience spending over two hours using these facilities […] and was not rushed by any staff. They had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay there again. They did not eat at the hotel and but highly recommended the bright yellow cafe across the road for a fry up in the morning. Mehr

Great hotel, fantastic location right on the river. Breakfast was excellent as was our room.

We have been to reading a few times to do Christmas shopping as we love the shops there, this is by far the best hotel that we have stayed in. Staff very friendly and happy to help, location is great and a big thing for us was that parking was free as the other hotels that we stayed in always charge. Will defiantly stay here again when we visit

the only bad thing about this hotel was the housekeeping. we had booked a late checkout at 1pm as we were out late. housekeeping came into our room at 9am, 11am and 12.30- i was so mad, what was the point in coming into our room when we were checking out that day anyway? we did not put the do not disturb sign on the door, perhaps this would have made […] a difference, who knows. cross. shame as the hotel and room was great for the price we paid. The hotel is situated in a lovely locale. The standard of service is very high--staff are friendly, cheerful and diligent. The rooms are of a very high standard and the hotel restaurant has great food.

We stayed here for one night. I usually use budget hotels for one nights but thought we would stay somewhere more up market. This hotel maintains the tradition of high priced low standards of British hotels. The overall decor and fitments are dated and not well maintained. The room was o.k. but for a wobbly toilet seat and a shower that was very difficult […] to adjust to a safe temperture. We had breakfast in the hotel, not good. the area was a shambles with dirty uncleared tables, empty hot plate (buffet) and the trays the staff use to bring the coffee ect were filthy ! I have eaten at the cafe opposite trust me much better. overall not good Premier here I come. Mehr

It's a smart hotel in a great position for Reading and Caversham centres. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, clean rooms. Just a couple of buts: The buffet breakfast was cold each time, and the corridors leading to the bedrooms were stiflingly hot.

The pool was one of the best I've ever used. Relaxing. Invigorating. Dining service and food were excellent. An excellent hotel.
