Das Crowne Plaza bietet für New Yorker Verhältnisse grosse Zimmer an Top Lage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Leider lässt sich die Raumtemperatur nicht individuell einstellen; bei unserem Aufenthalt war die Zentralheizung trotz warmen Aussentemperaturen auf Heizen eingestellt. Auch ist es nicht möglich, Internetzugang pro Zimmer zu beziehen sondern […] nur pro Gerät. Wenn man jeder ein iPhone hat ist dies nicht mehr zeitgemäss. Wir würden das Hotel trotzdem jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Mehr

Das Crowne Plaza liegt sehr zentral, man kann viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen und die Subway ist in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Beste Lage direkt am Times Square in der Nähe U-Bahn Station, Hotel Personal und Service super, Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, sauber und grosszügig, einzigiger Negativpunkt: Die Geräusche im Gang sind im Zimmer zu gut hörbar. Ansonsten ist das Hotel aber TOP.

Ideale Lage, da viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss oder mit der nahen Metro erreichbar sind. Ein Zimmer im Tower (ab 32. Stockwerk) lohnt sich, da man eine schöne Aussicht hat und nichts vom Verkehrslärm hört. Abends werden die Kartenschlüssel kontrolliert, somit können nur Hotelgäste den Aufzug zu den Zimmern benützen.

Smoke alarm went off at 11 pm. We weren't asleep yet. Called front desk, no answer. I removed the 9v battery. It kept chirping loudly and often so I unscrewed it from the wall and unplugged the electrical wire. Then at 3:10 am the smoke alarm went off in the neighboring room. It was shrill and loud enough to awaken us and several other rooms. I heard […] people opening and closing doors, talking on phones, complaining about the noise. THIS WENT ON FOR 20 MINUTES! Couldn't get back to sleep. I told the front desk in the morning. They offered to enroll me in their 'club' with some discount points. Overall review: Mixed. The hotel seemed better than some of the obviously dumpy hotels in the neighborhood, but not getting any sleep was a huge disappointment and took some of the joy out of the next day. The room was clean and comfortable. Broadway has come down since last visit five years ago. Orchestras are now 4-5 people. Actors end every show by taking bows then begging for money for AIDS charity -- very unprofessional. Aggressive street peddlers handing out rap CDs on sidewalk whispering obscenities in my wife's ear as we passed. This was our last trip to NYC. Nice surprise was that The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Natural History Museum aren't charging admission (its optional). Mehr

Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Shower pressure left a lot to be desired. Bathroom could use a little updating. No soda machines in ice machine area. Room service good quality. Location is great for access to Broadway, transportation to other sights.

The Crown Plaza is in a perfect location, in the heart of the theater district. It is easy to walk to many attractions, and bus/boat tours are easily available and quite reasonable - especially for multi -day use.

Room was not available at 3pm and.we received a bar voucher ($15 each). Finally, a room was available but incredibly noisy. We were then upgraded to a Concierge room (floors 45, 46, 47) which was lovely. It also allowed entry to Concierge continental breakfast room...cereals incldg oatmeal, fruit, bakery products, beverages, and so forth. Very close […] to metro...would stay here again. Mehr

Hotel in excellent location. Staff looked after us going above and beyond call of duty to get our left behind passports to airport for us so we could make our flight.

Not the best of views for a corner room, but it was a discounted room. Annoyingly room 1527 was across the corridor from the ice maker - fact of life - but just along the corridor from a seminar room. In such circumstances hotels need to manage the assembly of people for such rooms to avoid noise in the corridor at early times, such as 8am - fine for […] working people but a pain for those on holiday. The bar service was painfully slow - with staff more interested in socialising with each other than serving customers (one was planning "his book" with a colleague, another was doing "I love you buddy" hugs to a variety of acquaintances - very quaint and NY but more in keeping with a local bar than a four star hotel). I had to complain about the condition of the lobby toilets - during army service I have experienced a variety of WC conditions but my wife shouldn't have to endure such poor facilities in a "top class" hotel. Apart from broken locks and soap dispensers there was a large spit stain on one pan and excrement on the toilet seat rim of another. Cleaning looked to be infrequent in the evening. Mehr

Pros: Very nice room (corner room) on 34th floor. Well maintained and clean hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location near Times Square and metro. Con: Somewhat crouded hotel lobby. Ridiculously expensive internet access. For the price of this hotel, it should be included and free of charge.

Great location Great service A little pricey, but worth it. I'd stay there again.

The hotel was very nice and seemed clean. Our room was clean however we had no hot water in the sink or shower and the shower was clogged so when we took a cold shower you stood in the pool of water that accumulated.

Had a great time staying at the Crowne Plaza. It is a beautiful hotel at an amazing location! I would definitely stay there again!

This hotel was in a great location. Walk out the door and you're in Times Square. Our room was ready even though we were 3 hours early. Our room faced the Hudson. Was still a nice view. We didn't get a couple things in our room that come standard. Like the robes and the relaxing cd. But I wasn't concerned enough to call and ask for them. The bed was […] too hard for my daughter. But was fine for me. Room size and bath were good size. They did have elevator and escalator problems the last couple of days. But it didn't cause us a problem. Room service good was so good! Expensive but Delish! Wifi is too expensive. And cell phone service sucked. But all in all. Was a beautiful hotel and I'd stay again! Mehr

Great hotel with great deal online - can't beat a better location in the middle of times square. Clean & comfy rooms. Will definitely be back again soon.

Exceptional hotel at a value price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and we had an awesome view of Times Square. We loved being in walking distance to all of the Broadway shows and subway. We would definately stay here again.

i booked a Times Square View room through hotels.com. Check in went fine until we got to the room. It was possibly the worst room in the hotel, with a view of the very industrial 15th floor roof. I went back to check-in to query this, where the desk attendant told me that hotels.com hadn't paid the correct rate for the room and that we should have […] booked the room directly with the hotel. Luckily i had the hotels.com booking confirmation and insisted that we get a Times Square View room. The desk attendant reluctantly actioned this after my protests. I have never been more angry with the attitude of a hotel desk attemdant. I will not stay at this hotel again. If you choose to stay here, make sure you take your booking confirmation with you. Room could have been in better condition.

This place was great. Perfect location....Times Square was ultra clean and felt super safe. Hotel staff was really helpful and courteous. We will stay here again!

Everything was good except that the WI Fi is very expensive inside the hotel and it is free just outside the hotel by AT&T.

We were very pleased with the hotel and the location for a first time visit. We always felt safe and comfortable. The beds ARE amazing! Slept like a baby! Some street "venders" tried to get us to check out their "goods" very late one night (2am) outside the hotel but there are tons of police patrolling the area so we never felt threatened and just kept […] walking. We had a room right next to the elevators and they never bothered us. We never heard people in the halls or anything other than the occasional whir of the elevator or a faint siren from the street below. When we first arrived at 11 am- Sharon (?) checked us in and our room was already ready! She was awesome. Told us where to get show tickets and what not to bother seeing. She made us feel very welcome. Not your stereotypical New Yorker! Thank you for a great stay! Mehr

My wife and I found the hotel to be a very courteous and pleasant lodging. The food was very delicious and well prepared. The staff members were very nice and eager to please. The hotel was in a perfect spot for getting to all places we wanted to go, even for walking to places. I would certainly return for another stay if I visit New York again.

Our hotel stay was great. I needed accessibility to the broadway theaters without having to waste time getting on the subway or a bus. Wow was this location convenient! It was prime and so much to do and see between my walk to the theatre was a plus. I wanted to make this event as great for me as for my child and it was. This hotel was very nice. The location was great - we were basically on top of times square. We had a great view. It was clean and modern looking. The price seemed fair. We paid an extra $20 fee to guarantee a room with a view, which I think was well worth the price. Enjoy!

Nice price right in Times Square

I caught this hotel on a 24-hour sale and it was a fantastic room for the money. The location couldn't have been any better! You walk outside and you're literally in the middle of Times Square. We had a Hudson River view room but it was nice because we didn't have to contend with the lights and noise of Times Square. The staff was very helpful, even […] got an early check-in. my only complaint is that i called for my lavender gift pack which was not in my room. i called at 3 o'clock because i knew it was the super bowl that night. i new everyone in new york would be glued to the tv. i called twice and did not get it until 9 oclock the next morning.the hotel and it's location is wonderful. it is a beautiful place to stay […] . The hotel was incredibly convenient to all the madness of New York City. We walked everywhere - Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, your in Time Square! great restaurants, Broadway shows were close. This was my first stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. All the facilities appeared to be in immaculate condition and the room was very modern, clean, and a decent size (standard room with a king bed). Definitely enough room for two people. A multitude of stores, restaurants and theaters are within walking distance and there is […] a subway station one block away at Broadway and 50th St (#1 Line) which provides direct access to Penn Station and Lincoln Center. When we checked in , the desk host gave us a free adjoining room for our kids . . Time square is right out the front door . . I wont stay anywhere else . . . We are going back in march . . .

The Crown Plaza is an excellant meeting place.Location is very important to me . The hotel is 2 blocks from the train station. I always use public transportation when I'm in NYC.
