Crowne Plaza Meadowlands - Secaucus

The location was ideal. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that takes you to the New Jersey Transit which is only minutes away. The train at Secaucus Junction then takes you right into New York's Penn Station. The doormen are very knowledgeable and helpful in helping you to map out a sight/seeing plan or the hottest shopping spots. That's more […] then I can say for the front desk. However, I expected a much nicer room at the hotel given the luxurious lobby area. The room itself was clean but needs to be updated with a coat of paint, modern television and a more comfortable bed. The bathroom needs the most attention!!! Again, nothing that a coat of paint and an upgrade on the sink and tile wouldn't solve. If I would have know the conditions of the hotel room before I booked, I would have booked additional nights at the hotel I stayed in on our first night's visit. The Country Inn and Suites in Elizabeth New Jersey offered a much cleaner room/bathroom. In addition, they offer a complimentary breakfast in the morning and the price of the rooms are comparable to those at the Crowne Plaza in the Meadowlands. The only drawback to the Country Inn & Suites is the transportation. They don't have a shuttle that will take you to the NJ transit. But, if you drive to NJ/NY you can always drive your car to the NJ transit and park and drive lot for a nominal fee. It's about a 15 minute drive. Mehr

The room was kind of small, and there was construction going on at the time, but very nice hotel hotel.

The Crown Plaza was very clean and inviting. It is close to New York City and our only problem was getting back to the hotel due to a severe storm. We ended up parking on a local street and walking to the hotel.

not a bad place to stay - OK for the money, the beds are a bit old but the rooms are nice. Location is key if you NEED to stay in Secaucus, 5 minutes from the NJ turnpike.

The access to Parking difficult specially the night. No enough lights and no security!

Exceptional hotel located on a bus stop that goes into the city, which only takes about 20 minutes. The cost of a round trip ticket is under ten dollars and the same bus line will drop you off on the same side of the street as the hotel. The hotel offers a great breakfast buffet, with an excellent friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere. I would highly […] recommend this hotel for easy access to the city and the Izod center. Good location just off Meadowlands Parkway, super convenient to the stadium and racetrack. Easy access to Rt. 3 and the Lincoln Tunnel. Rooms have either a nice view of the NY Skyline, or the River on the opposite side of the building. Popular spot on Saturday nights for local events, parties etc.,

This place is a dump. Everything is in disrepair. One of the elevators was not working during my entire stay (4 days) leaving only 1 elevator for the entire hotel. The first room I was given had a toilet leak that had been there so long it was rusting the tub. The second room had watermarks all over the ceiling and smelled of mold and mildew. We spent 4 nights in Secaucus, because of its proximity to Manhattan. We only spent one night at the Crowne Plaza. It is a large very tired hotel, and needs a complete makeover. We stayed here as a cost effective alternative to staying in NYC. It took us less than a half hour to drive into NYC each day. The hotel was very well maintained (except for an irritating flickering light bulb in our room), and the daytime staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, the night staff were less courteous, but certainly not rude. FYI, be aware […] that the restaurants that are listed in the hotel room book are only an advertisement, and NOT a recommendation!! We tried 2 that were very poorly run. Over all a great stay, great recommendation from a dude in Maryland. Loved the shuttle man Vincent, he always put a spark in our day.

We were happy to choose the Crowne Plaza. The room was spacious and the service very good. The only 2 drawbacks were the size of the tv set (I honestly could live with it) and the parking witch was on the 3rd floor of a not to good looking outdoor parking. However, it was free and served it's purpose. I definitly will come back.

The hotel was exactly what we expected. The bus route to PAB was perfect and on time both in and out of the city. Aside from elevator issues, we had a godd experience for sure. We would stay there again.

The purpose of my stay was for an early morning meeting the next morning. Had dinner and drinks at the bar. Bartender was way too busy to give proper service. There was a fire alarm at 11:00 PM that required evacuation. While this was not the hotels fault the planning and execution of the emergency was poor at best. There were no personnel to provide […] guidance. The hotel advertises a guaranteed wake up call or your stay is free. Upon checking out I told the front desk I didn't receive the wake up call that I made upon check in. No apology was offered. I felt more like the response was oh well, you're leaving. Mehr

Nice, clean hotel. The only issue encountered was that the AC unit in the room can be overpowered in summer- taking forever to cool the room.

We just spend 3 nights in NYC. We lived in Crown as the price is comparably cheap. The location is very covienient as there is a bus to port ternimal directly. We will live there next time if we go to NYC nexttime. PS parking is free

My daughter and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza while visiting NYC. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay, especially location, comfort, friendly and helpful staff, parking,etc. Our only disappointment was that the food was not up to the price we paid nor was the food service. At check in (it was late), we were told the dining room was open […] but it wasn't. We had to eat in the bar which was crowded. We had to flag down a wait person, as no one had noticed us come in. However, we will definitely return to the hotel on our next visit- the good far out weighed the bad. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel because it was close Giants Stadium. We went to see U2, which was great except for never being picked up from our hotel. We were going to drive and pay for parking so we would know we had transportation. However, one of the staff members from the hotel told us to take the shuttle (its only $7 and they will pick you up where they […] let you off). OK! That's a great Idea. BUT>>>>what he didn't tell us is that the shuttle stops at 10pm!!!!!!!!! We'll the U2 show was not over until after that...so we waited and waited and waited (bc we didn't know they were not coming.) Finally, I called the hotel and they hung up on me twice....after being very rude and telling me the shuttle service is not from the hotle, that it is a hired service....NICE! We ended up getting a cab after waiting a long time (cabs were few and far between bc everyone was trying to get one). We should have just taken our car. We got back to the hotel and really needed a drink and a bit to eat...of course the hotel bar was closed and so was room service. There is nowhere in the area open late. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. SHAME ON THEM!!! Mehr

The directions we received were horrible. Someone forgot to mention that Rt. 46 is under construction. You needed to use Rt. 3 to get to your destination. The hotel is right off of Rt. 3, not Rt. 46! Good thing we knew our way around. If we didn't, I don't think we ever would have found our way.

we loved the area. in town for the yankees red sox series wanted a nice area to stay. this was perfect close to shoppong and all the attractions.i would recommend this to anyone who wants a large room with no noise an u can sleep the night away. a quick 20 min ride in any direction for fun. also convient pick up for most ny tours.

Great hotel for a Giants Game! Minutes from the stadium. Nice views of the stadium and/or NY skyline. Staff is very friendly.

The hotels really need to remodel. The elevators are too slow. The staff are not knowlegible and misdirects people. Hotel Shuttle is good feature but they are not organised to run the service efficiently and gives you a feel as if they are doing a great favour to you for providing the service The faucets in the bathrooms doen't work and they don't care […] to replace that. Every time I ordered room service the order was over priced and something was always wrong, from charging 15 for cereal to toasting white bread sandwich when I told them not too so it fell apart. Bad split pea soup, and waiting 10 minutes for food in front of me and 2 people waiting on customers in a non busy atmosphere so I can pay and go to my room. […] I simply walked out and ate else where. Always arrived later then told and food ended up cold as a result. Darn Hotel food! Mehr

emplacement parfait (20mn en bus pour time square), vue sur la skyline, resto, bar et dépanneur... pour un prix plus que raisonnable.

Ce n'est pas la meilleur hôtel en ville, mais pour qualité/prix, ceci est bien. Il y a peut-être un aspect que j'ai moins aimé ! J'ai acheté pour déjeuner inclus 4 personnes et rendu à l'hôtel le service m'a dit que j'avais seulement payer pour deux personnes... alors faire attention !!!

Efter tre veckors rundresa i USA hamnade vi här i fem dagar. Hotellet är fint på ytan med en förnämlig lobby, men det är bara en tom fasad. Internet funkade om man hade tur, 15 minuter på, 20 minuter av, 5 minuter på, 45 minuter av osv. Poolen var svinkall (trots värmebölja på 35-40 grader), badrumsdörren gick inte att låsa, och gick bara att öppna […] 45 grader och sedan fastnade den i golvet, duschen hängde i vattenledningen ur väggen istället för att sitta fastskruvad i kaklet (lite scary), shuttleservicen fungerade bra men man fick sitta och vänta i lobbyn 30 minuter mer än aviserat. När jag försökte diskutera läget med en kille i receptionen fick jag ett otroligt arrogant bemötande och meningar som "I don't want to be rude, but .. [otrevlig fortsättning]". Allt detta gör att hotellet får en nolla på allt. Nej, det finns ju inte. Det blir en etta. Aldrig mer! Mehr

Todo muy bien, excepto el funcionamiento de la regadera, a pesar de que se reporto. No hubo mantenimiento. El buffete del desayuno muy bueno.

El hotel Crown Plaza Medowlands en Secaucus NJ, es un hotel con facilidades para visitar New York City y las zonas comerciales del sector. Buenos servicios y la atencion de su personal satisfactoria.

Hotel muito bom, ótima limpeza e bem localizado. Os funcionários não são muito simpáticos e tivemos um problema com o café da manhã, tinhamos 02 quartos reservados (um triplo e um quadruplo) e nos disseram que tinhamos direito a café da manhã para apenas 02 pessoas por quarto, absurdo !! Tivemos que pagar 03 cafés a mais por dia, que já estavam inclusos […] na diária. Mehr

Muito bom hotel, bem localizado, 10 minutos da ilha de Manhatan indo de carro, estacionamento gratis, atendimento amigavel e profissional, recomendo sem duvida.
