Check in was smooth, arrive really late (close to midnight); the hotel was so fully booked so we weren't able to get the room we wanted (on a high floor) but they compensated us by upgrading us to a suite... Thank you to Anita at the reception for being so considerate. The room is very nice. We love the comfy beds, a nice touch of nespresso machine, […] plus the big LCD in the living room. However, if you care for the hotel with the view, this surely isn't your type of a hotel since the view from both sides are overlooking parking structures. Nothing to brag about it. The location of the hotel is flawless. Close to MRT station, cinema, and Orchard shopping district. We're really having a great time staying there. My husband and myself recently stayed in The Royal Plaza on Scotts. It was a fantasic stay and the staff on all levels from reception to the cleaning personnel were always ready and willing to assist in any way they could. We will be returning again new year to Singapore and will definately be co ming back here.

This hotel is clean, comfortable and resonable. It is in a great business location. The staff was personable and the room was comfortable and clean. I recommend this accomodation for work and pleasure.

My partner and I were booked into the Royal Plaza for 3 nights, but had to extend our stay a further 5 nights when I became ill. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating during this time, including assistance in arranging an urgent GP housecall to the hotel. Great buffet restaurant too. Highly recommended.

This is definitely a 4.5 star hotel. The concierge and front desk staff were helpful and my room was spotless and luxurious.

I was given a room facing a parking garage that made the room dark and gloomy. When I first checked in, they gave me a key to a room that was not ready and so I had to wait 10 mins to be given another room. The shower door leaked water on to the floor. Great service from the moment we stepped through the front door. A great location - close to MRT Station and shops. Great pool and free wifi and mini bar -beer, coke and oreo's.

having stayed in this hotel 2 nights previous, i must admit this 2nd time around i was a bit disappointed. i booked both nights via this website, for the same room, however my rooms and experiences were quite different. the 1st night stay was without complaint. my 2nd night stay was in a smaller room, i did not have a bath at all and the toiletries […] and mini bar were different. i did not actually ask the hotel staff why figuring perhaps i had been upgraded the first time round? however in the morning i was woken by lots of banging and when i left my room for some shopping i found the hall to be covered with mattresses and rolls of carpets. every room in the hallway apart from mine was being updated. a pitty they did not think to put me in a room where the updating was not happening. this together with the lower grade room did make me feel a bit unwelcomed - however its not really my nature to complain so i did not say anything to the staff. aside from this everything about the hotel was great and i would definatley recommend to friends and return. i loved my stay at this hotel, and wished i was able to stay longer. i found the staff very helpful and my room great! free mini bar, coffee machine, luxury toiletries, bath and shower, close to all the shops and right in the heart of the action. i used the business/computer room and found it to be a life saver for some last minute things i had to arrange. […] highly recommend!!! Very convenient, next to shopping malls in Orchard Road, and close to MRT station

This hotel turned out to be a good choice for us, we stayed at the hotel for a week and the only negative was in the confusion of rooms, making us have to change three rooms in the six days we were there! They were not sure of the room category and so kept making us change it or have to pay more money, but besides that, it was a great place The staff […] is extremely polite and helpful, there are plenty of amenities for everyone, the pool is not very good, we did not use it, but the location is very central, the metro is close by and there's a lot of activity around It is about 45 min away from the airport, but taxis are cheap in Singapore, costing us about 35 dollars to get to the hotel I would recommend it and come back again for sure! Having recently stayed at Royal Plaza on Scotts, I can recommend this hotel for its convenient location close to Orchard Road, also for the courtesy of the staff who went out of their way to meet our needs. The gimmick here is the free mini bar, unlike what you expect in a hotel of this class the minibar consists of 2 mini packs of oreos, 2 bottles of water, 2 beers, 1 coke, 1 diet coke and 1 orange juice. Not at all what it would have were you going to be charged for it. Free breakfast would have been far more worthwhile.

Fantastic location in the heart of Orchard Road - friendly and efficient staff - good choice for short stopover. Best sleep ever - bed amaizingly comfortable.

Smooth check-in, friendly staff, welcome refreshment and towel, free internet in room, big clean spacious room with window facing another bldg's wall, comp water good. Tiny cold pool. Over priced bfast and meals at hotel. Walk 3 blocks , you're in the centre of Orchard road for MRT and major food junction where you can eat anything local and western, […] and Shop till you drop. Location is good. What Happened to the once prestige HICP, this hotel needs refurbishing soon. Lobby is weirdly decored, too many children running around everywhere. I stayed 3 wonderful nights during the Chinese new year and this hotel passed and exceeded all expectations. Location is just wonderful, bus stop is right outside and short walk to the MRT, but all the shops are close by any way. The room was in excellent condition, I stayed on the 13th floor in a room which was facing the carpark so there was no traffic […] noise but no real sights to see from the room also. Both check-in and check-out were quick and painless. We were told that facilities were available for our use after we had checked-out so we could freshen up before we went on our flight. Good service, clean rooms and a free minibar (including beer) that is refilled every morning! Location is right in the middle of Orchard Road and walking distance […] to the Ion, Takashimaya and Wisma Atria shopping malls - you can even get there without getting wet (all underground, except for a 30m uncovered part!). There's also a Starbuck's right next to the hotel for those who have to get their Coffee fix in the morning. Mehr

Fantastic value! The service was absolutely impeccable and very friendly. The location was central and easily accessible to many types of public transportation. So nice to have a free mini-bar and concierge support for every kind of need (medical to shopping to dining to transportation!). What a pleasure!

Hotel was OK, but room is not 4 * as promoted, and this could have been disclosed at the time of booking. I was there for 2wks and found no dresser for clothes, room was dark facing an alley. There wasn't a radio or alarm clock.

Hotel is a former Novotel and the room I stayed in has never seen any renovation or upgrading. Even I stayed for 5 days, I only got a dark dirty old cage. dirty curtains and carpets, old uncomfortable bathroom of the 70's. Simply a NO GO. A 3 star hotel for the price of a 5 star hotel. Just entrance and location are nice.

This hotel is way cheaper than the big names around the same location. Hotel is located right in the corner of Orchard Road which is the heart of shopping centers. Front desk staff are very professional. Let us check in way earlier without extra charge. Free internet access. Beautiful lobby. Excellent location for shopping. Close to Orchard road & Orchard MRT. You are right in the centre of everything. Mini-bar drinks (non-alcoholic) included which is great. Fantastic buffet breakfast, much better than other more expensive hotels. Small pool & gym however wasn't busy when we used it. Excellent service overall.

This hotel was excellent from start to finish. From an above average check in (and being upgraded) to the lovely friendly staff which had us smiling and happy by the time we go to the lifts in the mornings for breakfast, to the quality of the room... we were very very pleased and would recommend the hotel to anyone. We appreciate the hotel's convenient Orchard Road location. Also, it is located just outside the ERP zone so our relatives and friends could visit us without having to pay the ERP charges. As vegetarians, we appreciate the fact that we could enjoy the hotel's halal food confident that no lard or any meat would be in a non-meat dish.

Hotel is in a good location with good basic services. Restaurant is overpriced for the quality of food offered. Avoid 5th floor rooms facing south. There is not much view and adjacent building is too close to make it an appealing view! I also stayed on the 11th floor facing North. Amazing view! Rooms are generally small so if you are planning on spending […] more time in your room besides sleeping, you might feel claustrophobic. Courteous staff although I could not get them to offer me the same rate when I extended my stay. It would have been a "smart" customer relations gesture had they agreed to honor the same rate. Mehr

Convenient location, safe, clean. Good value for Singapore.

The entire staff was very friendly from the house cleaning crew to the executive lounge staff. Cant wait for my next trip to Singapore. The only down side I could see would be if you were a smoker as there is no smoking anywhere in the hotel at all. But a big Plus for all of the non smokers that dont have to smell any odors.

This hotel had been recommended and it did not disappoint. Good position for shopping if that is what you want and near public transport for exploring the city. Staff were pleasant and helpful and as part of our luggage had not arrived, staff kept in touch with the airport staff for us. hotel was undergoing some modernisation and was noisy during the […] day but silent at night. バスタブが無いのでリラックスできなかった

5人の友人たちとの旅行でした。トラム駅にも近く、観光スポットへのアクセスもとてもよかったです。スタッフもとても親切で居心地の良いホテルでした。ただ残念だったのが、3人部屋のほうですが、部屋に案内されてから20分以上も待たされて、スペアーベットの設置にはまいりました。夜中2時ころのチェックインでしたので、少々イラッチになりました。事前に分かっていることなので、サーヴィスはそんなところにあるのではないでしょうか。それと、三人部屋なのに、滞在中連絡してもひとり分のグッズがいつも足りませんでした。追加料金を支払っているのですから、その程度の配慮はほしかったです。
