Extended Stay Deluxe Piscataway - Rutgers University - Piscataway

The first room they put me in was designated non-smoking but it smelled of cigarettes and the air conditioning did not seem to be working. I went back to the desk and they put me in another room which was better. The room was old but fine. They are currently renovating the hotel as of spring 2012.

Extraordinarily difficult to find accompanied by very ordinary accomadations

I was not satisfied with the room nor the service. Ice maker did not work. There was no breakfast served. I have stay here in the past and there was breakfast. Only one pot in the room. Asked for and change of room and it din't happen. Very dissappointed

This hotel is fine for college students , however I booked this room based on similar rooms I have stayed in at the Eliment and candlewood .. I was very disapointed , yes there was coffee in the room , no cups or cream limited dishes , no utensils.. No soap , conditioner shampoo , .. If you brought your own pillow you would be ok , they only provide […] two. Again very disapointed they need to be updated and more concerned with comfort of the guest .. Hotel is not all that nice. it was suitable but if your picky then stay away. all edges of room were dirty. not painted in some spots. kitchen is a joke. nothing supplied except for utensils. beds covered in plastic. It sounded like you slept on a wrapper all night. If you need a kitchen and staying long then look for a candlewood hotel.

Hotel personnel very pleasant, seem to be a lot of long time people staying there, you could smell food cooking in the halls. The room has a full kitchen. Room is basically designed for a business traveler but worked well for us as it is 5 minutes from our son's house, we come in late and leave early and the price is right.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights in July while visiting a family member who lives nearby. The hotel was sufficient for our purposes, but seemed to be in somewhat beat-up condition for its age. You should be aware that the HVAC is connected to a motion detector and will only heat or cool when someone is moving in the room, so you will not […] return to a comfortable temperature. In addition, the temperature will not properly adjust while you are sleeping. My husband was able to rig up something to keep moving in front of the motion detector to override the system and we were comfortable. However, we find the basic idea insulting. Mehr

This hotel was mainly for College students. The night I stayed the students were extremely loud However, I will recommend this hotel to someone going to college not for a family with some children

1. The heating unit was so loud and looked very old. It did work but was very noisey. 2. While the room looked to be clean it still had the "feel" that it was a cosmetic clean but deep down dirty. Even the sheets on the bed didn't appear to be deep down clean. 3. There was only a very light blanket on the bed and no extra blankets in the closet.

Good room for the price. We reserved a room for six and only had two towels in bathroom. OK. At check in (7:00 p.m.), the temp. was 85*. At 9:00 temp was still 85* and the air was running for the past two hours. I complained to the front desk. He said give it alittle more time. Finally at 11:00 I went out again to find someone new just starting his […] shift (which was to do laundry). I explained the problem he proceded to go outside to catch the last clerk before he left. His answer was for the laundy man to help us. I thank God that he felt sorry for us and was able to fix the air. The room got comfortable quickly and all was good for the night. The night clerk and not the laundy man should have helped us and not left us uncomfortable for FOUR HOURS. Other than that I would stay there again for a night. Mehr

Though the Extended Stay Deluxe in Piscataway, NJ is a nicely-kept hotel with friendly and well-informed staff, the reasons I will not recommend this hotel are due to its rather inconvenient and hard-to-find location (the cab driver could not find it in spite of GPS and asking several locals on the street until nearly an hour driving around Piscataway) […] and the inconsistent food service (there are no nearby restaurants, no restaurant in the hotel, and their continental breakfast service does not exist on weekends, which is a problem for someone on a regular eating schedule due to a pre-existing medical condition) Mehr

Beautiful Hotel. But... room was missing coffee pot, pots, and other needed items. When we called the front desk, response was...yeah, we know, people steal them. We asked if we could come down and got replacement, response was...we are booked solid, we won't find any extras. Kind of weird. But other then that We love it and will continue to hide away […] there every weekend!! Mehr
