Das Hotel Wyndham Chicago kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Das bisher beste Hotel in einer US-Großstadt in dieser Preiskategorie!!! Ich komme wieder

Schade, dass es die Verantwortlichen bei ca. 200 Gästen, die am Chicago Marathon teilgenommen haben nicht geschafft haben, ein Frühstück vor 6:00 Uhr zu organisieren. Da war die Corner Bakery gegenüber wesentlich kundenorientierter. Ansonsten war das Hotel sehr sauber und gut gelegen. Das Krankenhaus um die Ecke verursacht Nachts Lärm durch ständig […] einfahrende Krankenwagen. Aber die Geräuschkulisse gehört wohl in einer amerikanischen Großstadt dazu. Mehr

Dies war nun unser 3 Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und ich denke wir werden immer wieder in diesem Hotel einchecken. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und haben gute Betten, Badezimmer ebenfalls sehr schön und alles was man braucht vorhanden. Der Ausblick ist nicht aus allen Zimmer gleich, manche gehen zur […] Seite und man sieht nur das nächste Haus allerdings ist uns in Chicago dass nicht wichtig da wir uns wenig im Zimmer aufhalten. Das Hotel liegt nur eine Strasse hinter der Manificent Mile, der Strand das Navi Pier und der Loop alles problemlos zu Fuß erreichbar. Gegenüber des Hotels ist das Corner Cafe dort bekommt man ein sehr gutes Frühstück aber auch Lunch und sonstige Kleinigkeiten. Also wie gesagt immer wieder gerne. Mehr

Wir hatten ein tolles verlängertes Wochenende in Chicago. Das Frühstücksbüffet war reichlich und qualitativ sehr gut. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten und der Strand problemlos zu Fuß erreichbar. Zimmer und Hotel sehr sauber und das Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. I enjoyed my stay at the Chicago Wyndham. The staff was excellent and the facility was very nice. Overnight parking was very pricey though.

We have stayed here several times and have only one disappointment - the television does not include access to FOX cable network, although the printed listing says otherwise. As FOX is the #1 cable provider nationally, it is a major omission and should be corrected. It it is not, we will find another hotel.

The hotel staff were VERY friendly and helpful and the room was beautiful and comfortable. An excellent value in the heart of downtown Chicago.

Pretty Standard Hotel. Not the most luxurious but definitely several steps up from the HoJo nearby. I paid a very reasonable price for a King Sized bed (granted this was in February). At the time of this posting, amenities are very basic- bed, desk, chairs & roomy bathroom. Old TV (not a flatscreen), no mini fridge (extra$), and no free wi-fi is offered. […] There is a rate for each 24 hr block which I find ridiculous this day in age; though I suppose you can walk a few blocks to the Apple store to check your email. I suppose one nice thing is that it is so close to Magnificent Mile (if shopping at high-end stores is your thing), a couple blocks to an metro station and various eateries. Plus it was a nice 45-min walk to Old Town/Lincoln Park and a 15-min walk to the Loop/Millenium Park. Mehr

Hotel is in a great location and is a good choice for those looking for a quiet traditional hotel experience - basically nothing is going on here. Older rooms that could use a refresh - older TVs no premium cable, blah bathroom amenities. Great location but a very vanilla experience - which for some would be the perfect choice. We had a Junior corner suite with a great view. Very well appointed and very clean room. Close to the clinic we went to, close to the Corner Bakery which was great and near Gino's East Pizza which was wonderful. The only two things somewhat negative were (1) the daily wi-fi charge - when even Red Roof Inn has free internet and (2) the high valet parking […] fee. Mehr

My husband and I love everything about this place! Close to Michigan Avenue and walking distance to great restaurants and attractions! The hotel itself has a very nice restaurant as well and a great lounge with excellent staff!

This place was clean, friendly, and close to many attractions. The one problem I had in my room was finding an outlet that would work. The bathroom outlet was the one!

I was looking for upscale at a bargin price, this is it! Great service from the valet to the concierge. Though if I had a bunch of kids looking for a large pool this may not be a good fit.

I liked the Wyndham hotel for its great location and the reasonable/affordable price. Anytime I go to Chicago in the future, I plan to stay there. I will also recommend it to others.

This was a very pleasant property, conveniently located for attendance at a McCormack Expo and for doing sightseeing and getting around town. All services were first rate, and we were delighted with the help that Denise at the concierge desk gave us. A great place to use as a base in a great city.

The hotel had some wear, but overall it was a wonderful stay. The location was great! We were in walking distance of a lot of things. We will defiantly stay again.

This hotel was located in a prime spot. Took 8 kids for my daughter's 16th birthday - she wanted to stay downtown! Staff was very nice and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the size of the pool....way too small for 8 15 and 16 year olds! Otherwise, great hotel and good deal!

Location is very nice; one block east of Michigan Ave Crate and Barrel store and Corner Bakery, Easy walk to Watertower Place. The room was OK, but small. The bed was so hard we woke up in pain several times. The TV was not great. The pool is totally unsuitable for adult relaxation, at least on weekends, but OK for noisy children's play. You have to […] walk through a smelly fitness room into the locker room to get to the pool. Every 5 minutes the gate from the locker room slams. We called for towels, but they brought so few they were gone before I got to the table. The hot tub is immediately next to the pool, and the deck is so narrow that 2 people can't walk by each other. There is no escape from the splashing and the noise. We did not hear any sirens from the nearby hospital. The location and the price of this hotel were good, but we were disappointed otherwise. Mehr

Have stayed in Chicago several times but this was our first stay at this hotel. We were made feel right at home at reception when we arrived the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was large, bright, clean and comfortable. We did worry about the hospital next door but have to say we heard very little and had a peaceful sleep every night. Pro: fast room service; lots of counter space, mirrors and lights for ease of getting ready; location convenient to shopping & dining. Cons: Room and bathroom were outdated; walls were thin (could hear neighbors and doors slamming); curtains did not close all the way (for those who need it to be dark to sleep); "late" checkout was only 12:30 pm; valet […] was ridiculously overpriced; no robes in closet; no full size hairdryer in bathroom. I'm glad I booked the room at an ultra-low cost. Had I paid any more for it, I would have been quite angry. This is definitely a 3-star, not a 4-star, hotel. Mehr

Although the hotel was very conveniently located to Michigan Avenue and many of the main attractions in town, I was very disappointed in the condition of the room. The beds were full size and dated. Very lumpy and not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. The decor was dated in the rooms and I felt like I was staying in my grandmothers house. I did think […] the bathrooms were nicely remodeled. The concierge was very helpful in picking out a nice place for us to watch sports and then another place for dinner. The front desk staff was less than cheerful or welcoming. Especially frustrating when we arrived 7 hours late due to bad weather in Chicago. A smile would have really been appreciated that night. There are better hotels for the same price in the area. It's not mentioned in any of the information but to park at this hotel there is only Valet parking and it is $52 a day. Ridiculous! The hotel itself is mediocre, the rooms feel dated and cramped. I really can't abide a hotel that still uses tube tvs but that just might be me. I wouldn't say "avoid at all costs" I would say "not worth the money for a […] 4-star hotel". Mehr

No one tells you about the extremely expensive parking rate per night until you pull up to check in! It would be nice if that information was part of the posting information.

My room was fine and clean. But I had gotten in late and all I wanted to do was get room service and watch a movie in my night gown and go to sleep. Instead my tv didn't work and the service guy, who was very nice, ended up spending like a half hour in my room and things still didnt work and finally after probably an hour and a half of waiting and watching […] family guy reruns he called to say they were having problems with their service and I couldn't watch a movie. Also room service sent my food to the wrong room, but I got it eventually and it was good. Mehr

We have stayed at this hotel three other times because it has great rates, it's one block from Michigan Ave and the hotel in clean. I am big on things being clean and they maintain the hotel very well. The only bad thing is that you have to pay for internet.

decent, straightforward, downtown hotel. Annoyed that they charge 11 bucks a day for wireless

We had an excellent stay here. Of note, the concierge service was top notch. We were given excellent restaurant recommendations, bus routes, etc. The beds were also quite comfortable. The proximity to Michigan Ave shopping and Northwestern Medical Center make it ideal.

We always enjoy staying at the Wyndham. It is conveniently located one block off of Michigan Avenue. The staff are always very friendly and very accommodating. Our room was nice and clean. Can't think of any negative at all! We will absolutely stay here again!

The Staff was really nice. My room phone didn't work, but no big deal, The hotel took a fee for the internet every 24 hour, that feels kind of cheap 2012. Old Sauna didn't look so fresh, replace the wood please, jaccuzi was nice. But my next visit a hotel with free wireless. it's not about the money it's about custom service.
