Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Die Eastside von Seattle ist einer der wohlhabendsten Bezirke Amerikas. Die Anwesen mit einem Wert von mehreren Millionen Dollar am Ufer des Lake Washington dienen als luxuriöses Domizil für einige bekannte Milliardäre, darunter auch Bill Gates. Mit ihren riesigen Bürohochhäusern und Bankentürmen steht die Skyline von Bellevue Downtown der von Seattle in nichts nach. An der Eastside sind mehrere Hauptfirmensitze angesiedelt, u. a. die von Microsoft, Nintendo of America und Eddie Bauer.

This hotel was very close to Overlake Hospital which was my destination. This is a no frills hotel at a good price in a pricey area. Everything was clean and as it should be for this price point. Management was helplful throughout my stay. I would stay here again.

exciting to have a fire drill on the only day I was able to sleep in. Hot chocolate from the hotel would have been a nice jester.
"Worst hotel i've ever stayed in"
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Here are just SOME of the issues: 1. The water in both the kitchenette and bathroom was gray. Definitely not drinkable and I wouldn't have showered there if I didn't have to 2. It is extremely loud. With a location right next to the freeway and paper thin walls, unless you are used to hearing heavy traffic […] all night it was almost impossible to sleep. 3. I could hear everything. I could hear my neighbor's television When in the bathroom I could hear my neighbor using his/her bathroom. Zero privacy. I will never stay there again despite my frequent trips to Bellevue. Mehr

I would not recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly but the hotel was old and not very comfortable. There was only coffee for one day, unless paid for in the vending machine. The vending machine was almost empty as well as the soda machine. The bed was rock hard and no extra blankets or pillows. The parking spaces were very narrow and once in, […] it was hard to get out. "MEN FIRST"
When I arrived to check in, the clerk was on the telephone. I waited my turn, about 7 minutes, and the clerk began waiting upon me. The transaction was almost complete - I need to sign and to get a key to the room. A man arrived and was immediately waited on leaving me waiting. His check out took several minutes while I, who was first in line, waited […] and waited. This is one of my chief complaints in this world. Half take care of the female and if someone who is male arrives drop everything and wait on them. Mehr

There was no DVD player the TV was small and way out of date, and I noticed right away when I laid down to go to bed the bedding did not smell clean.

Don't be swayed by the price you'll get for this hotel. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else. My room was filthy, including a sticky spill on the nightstand that was so bad, the alarm clock was physically stuck down. Bathroom cleanliness was suspect too. Security? Not much better, as I frequently found the doors on the end of the hotel propped […] open for lengthy periods of time. In addition, the dumpster area of the hotel looked like the city garbage dump, including old furniture and appliances. In the surrounding landscaping, more city garbage dump features. Wondered if the locals or employees weren't dumping their own personal refuse there to save themselves a costly trip to the dump. Stay away! The cheap price is NOT worth it. Mehr

"Shower Didn't Work Well"
My shower had no pressure and took a long time to get hot water. Once the shower ran, it finally opened up and was decent. I told the very nice staff about it and they did try and fix it but I was not satisfied.

This property had good location to the Convention that I was attending and had a much better price than the Convention hotel.

We stayed here because the Seattle hotels were very expensive and this hotel was inexpensive. It is definitely a budget hotel with no housekeeping unless you're there for a week and old furnishings, seemingly from the 70s, and it did not have fine linens, but if you're going to be out and about for the day and just come back to crash, it is definitely […] a great value. It came with a complete kitchen area which was nice but we didn't use it. Mehr
"Good for the money."
This was a nice motel for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. The motel doesn't offer much in the way of amenities but the room was nice and had a small kitchen as well. The only downside was that there was no convenience store within close walking distance and not much in the immediate area.

Internet did not work, remote for TV only worked about 2 inches from TV, bed was hard. Morning staff friendly and accomodating. Godd location, close to Hospital.

It was a nice room, clean, spacious. Tv was a little small. It was quiet and staff was helpful. It was a little further from convention center than I thought it was.

"Not Bad for the Price and Location"
We stayed on a very busy weekend for Seattle and I must say the hotel did their best to keep up! There was bumbershoot and and UW and LSU football game. Our only complaints were the bathroom fan didn't work, and the afternoon desk attendant was often missing. Our window had a crack that grew through our stay. We loved the kitchenette! It was a money […] saver in its self. So to sum it up our stay was great with some minor issues but we would recommend and stay there again. Mehr
"Great Room but Very POOR Service by Ashley"
There was a Blonde Haired Lady at the front desk, I think her name was Ashley, when I got there. She asked my name and I told her and spelled it out for her. She told me that I didn't have any reservation with them. I made sure she had my name spelled right, SHE DIDN'T. Then after pulling it up she asked to see my ID. NOW STOP...Wouldn't the first conflict […] have been avoided if she would have just asked for my ID in first place. As I'm standing there waiting for her to check me in I'm noticing how she is dressed. VERY VERY unprofessional. She had a nice button up shirt and pants but the under shirt was longer and hung down. The under shirt was torn at the bottom and looked very bad. The whole time she was checking me in she was making faces and noises like she was anoyed with having check me in. Needless to say I didn't talk to anyone at the hotel the whole time I was there. The room were great, clean, and big, but you won't catch me staying there again. I'll pay a little more to get actual customer service. Mehr
"Needs improvement"
Front Desk attendant not there half the time. Left behind some clothes in the dresser drawer accidentally - no one knows where the clothes are two days later? That is straight theft. I don't care what the price is - it is unacceptable.
