Designed for extended stay but just fine for a night. The room was very clean and well maintained. My only complaint of the stay was that the front desk was not staffed when I went to check in, but was extremely helpful when they were available. Overall, a good stay at a good price.

Stayed here for two nights. Pleasantly surprised to have a microwave, full refrigerator, dish washer and stove top oven for use. Decent size suites. The tvs are a little outdated, but the cable works just fine. They even had a vcr in the room, which was semi-ancient. My only complaint was that it was August and the room was too cold. It was entirely […] too cold and the thermostat never adjusted the air conditioner. This is my only complaint. I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

For the price it was great. Nice size room with everything you need. Very uncomfortable bed is the only complaint. Great for a short visit.

A very nice hotel with all the needed convenciences present at the hotel.

Was very disappointed with the hotel. It says a queen size bed but it was only a double. I was glad I had a sofa to sleep on but sad I couldn't sleep in the same bed as my spouse. The bathroom was large but had no exhaust fan. In hindsight I wish I had spent the money on a different hotel.

The service was great but the cleanliness of the the room and towels need to be taken care of.

This is a pretty well worn place. Not dirty, but worn. The room was ok, the bed comfortable, staff quite pleasant. If you don't have a car, the walk to any restaurant is significant, almost impossible if you want a choice. If you need the shuttle to the Pittsburgh airport, understand that it will take at least 1/2 hour to get there because of the numerous […] stops. My recommendation to others carries a caveat. I believe that for a similar price you can find a hotel closer to both the airport and to food. I would stay there again only if I couldn't find something else. Mehr

Hotel was fair. The bed was kinda small, did not seem to be a queen size. The shower/tub was stained and appeared dirty. I always take Lysol on trips so that kinda fixed it. The major issue was I mistakenly left my phone charger in the room. I was still in the Pittsburgh area and called the Hotel approx 3 Hrs later and they advised they never saw it. […] So my thoughts wonder on if they even checked on it . Mehr

They gave me a smoking room when I arrived to check in at 9pm and said that they had not had a smoke free room in weeks. (I had specifically asked for a non-smoking room. Then he wanted a credit card for "incidentals" and would not give me a room without first swiping my credit card - even though I had paid in full. I was only staying one night on business […] and it was now too late to get another room somewhere else. Front desk that night was very rude and said that if I didnt like it to call Hotels.com to get a refund as there was nothing he was going to do. The front desk in the morning @ check out was very courteous and apologized for that person's rude behavior, but offered no consolation. Also there were signs that the water would be shut off for several hours later the next day - so I had to make sure to get a shower that morning before leaving or there would be no water. The room smelled horrible as I anticipated and I left feeling like I laid in a ashtray all night. My clothes and even my bags smelled like cigarette smoke! I will never go there again. I cannot believe that this hotel received such good ratings. Room was dated and fair at best. I'd give it a star - and that's generous! Mehr

The hotel was clean, as was the room. The service was friendly. The bed was comfortable; however, it was advertised as a queen-size bed. My wife and I sleep in a king-size at home. I understand that a queen-size bed is smaller, but I sincerely doubt that the bed in our room was a queen. Otherwise, the hotel was fine.

I don't normally write reviews of hotels, but I felt compelled to do so with Candlewood Suites. We (my wife and I) don't travel very often, and so we are very cost/value conscious when we do decide to stay in a hotel. This hotel was great. I loved that it was an extended stay location with a fridge, microwave, stove, sink...in the room. I also liked […] the room layout. I was able to watch television in the other room while relaxing in the bathtub. The staff was nice, although we had little reason to interact with them outside of the normal checkin/checkout details. The exercise room was nice, although we didn't use it and the convenient store area was a nice add-on although the prices there were a bit TOO convenient for my tastes. The hotel is in a good area, although all of our activities were on the OTHER side of Pittsburgh, so it was a 20 minute (40 minutes during rush hour traffic) drive, although we knew that when we booked it. My biggest complaint is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn't have a separate switch. When the light is on, the fan is on. Makes it a bit difficult to hear everything in the movie while in the tub...heeheehee. Great hotel. Definitely a recommend. Mehr

I was meeting my travelling partner in Pittsburgh but had failed to add him to the reservation. Rightfully, the hotel refused him, but worked with Hotels.com to get him on the reservation. I was so grateful to them, especially when they didn't leave him stranded at the airport--even when he wasn't on the reservation! The hotel is in a good location--definitely […] suburban, but close to the airport. I was a little disappointed in the bed/bedding. The pillows were achingly thin and the bed seemed more like a full than a queen. Other than that, I did appreciate that the hotel had energy saving features like how the air/heat wouldn't turn on if the room wasn't occupied. I would recommend this hotel and would likely stay again. Mehr

When I travel I don't stay in expensive hotels. I prefer to pay less than 100 dollars per night. Needless to say, I've stayed in some great rooms, and some poor rooms. This hotel by far will be used to judge the value of every hotel I stay in from now on. The room was great, clean, it came with a stove, fridge, microwave and even dishes. I've stayed […] at rooms for the same price and didn't even get a mini fridge. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Great location, I can't recommend this hotel enough. If I ever travel back to the area again, I will look to stay here again. Mehr

We stayed only one night. It was clean and perfect for our needs. We would stay again.

I chose this hotel based on it's price, and the overall review rating. My girlfriend and I drove from Chicago to Pittsburgh and stayed one night before driving back. We've done a few road trips this year and this was the best 'bang for your buck' hotel we've stayed at. The room was great and had more amenities than we could have used. The hotel was […] clean, the staff was nice, and there was plenty of stores around the area for food, or whatever you could need. I highly recomend this hotel. The only downside was the hair dryer in our room was broken. We did request a new one, but received it after we had already left for the day. Not a big deal, overall I loved the room and would gladly stay there again. Mehr

Nice hotel with great acess from freeway. There is a good selection of shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms have a large sitting area outside the seperate bedroom. Full kitchen has all you need for an extended stay. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it highly to anyone.

Suite was good with plenty of room. Very friendly front desk, with nice extras like free DVDs, convenience store. Treadmill was unusable. Room was acceptable, overall solid place to stay for the price.
