Candlewood Suites Somerset - Somerset

Wir haben zu zweit für eine Nacht im Candlewood Suites Somerset geschlafen. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet mit eigener Kochzeile und außerdem sauber. Wir haben uns in der Nacht sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Rezeptionist war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Jederzeit wieder.

We stayed at the Candlewood Suites Somerset for five nights. We were not expecting an extended stay hotel that did not have daily maid service. A little worn but everything worked. It tends to get VERY noisy at night and the walls are thin. Our floor had a strong smell of curry for our entire stay. However if you don't mind returning your dirty towels […] to the front desk and making your own bed, it's an okay place for the price. Mehr

The place was perfect in almost all sense for us, comfy bed though a king would have been nice, kitchen, free laundry, nice touch like dishwasher soaps, etc. The only problem was the hallway smells in the evening especially. Get good ionizer air purifiers for the hotel and it will be just great.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a week. Hotel was clean and rooms were quiet except when walls to the hallway were kind of thin. There is a laundry place and cupboard on the first floor so it is convenient to buy foods and take care of your laundry. My one complain is that the fridge made a noise and it was quite loud. It was not too loud to damage […] my sleep but it was annoying. Except that it is indeed a nice place to stay for its price. I would stay here again. Mehr

Nice hotel under renovation, so the no smoking policy was a surprise after picking a smoking room..Also there were add itional fees but they are returned so it wasn't to bad.Room was great for the price

We only stayed one night, but the room was great for multiple days, free laundry, full kitchen in room. Only negative was that they were remodeling the 1st floor. The room we had was on 2nd floor. We were not affected by the construction. Ask for more pillows, only 3 small ones for our queen.

I always read the hotel.com reviews before we book. I dismiss the really good ones along with the really bad ones. I've always found the reviews in the middle have always been true to their word. This was also the case with Candlewood. This hotel is clean, quiet, the staff is nice, and we booked it for a great price. There's great pizza , sports bar […] and sushi down the street (walking) (also, I got a fabulous manicure and pedicure in the same strip mall :) There's lots of places to eat one street away (car). I would say that the only drawback is that it is set up for extended stay and without room service or cleaning (once a week), and we are messy! However, the fridge, sink, microwave, stovetop, big bathroom large desk/table, etc. made up for it's drawbacks. We will absolutely stay there again. Mehr

second stay i like it!

This hotel is a solid deal and situated among several that are higher priced. It has all you need and is a better value than otehr around.

It's an Okay hotel. However, I needed a good iternet connection and they did not have it.

This hotel should be rated more like a 3.5 star. It is an incredible value. Overall the service and conditions are very simple, which makes this great for business travel.

I checked in late and the door was closed for front desk. Called front desk and no answer for a good 5 minutes. Finally a young man came and checked me in which was very unprofessional. Got to the room, turned on the heat then comes that weird smells. Then the fire alarm also went off because of the heat. It was not such a good experience at all. I […] would not stay there again nor recommend under any circumstances. Price was pretty reasonable which lead to me booking it in the first place. Mehr

Overall hotel was great! Free Laundry and Workout facility. Safe environment. Friendly Staff and amazing rooms!!!

The room was clean, clean linens, clean bathroom. The staff were very nice and helpful. But the room was very musty - I slept with the window open. And when I put the fan on, it smelled weird so I couldn't keep it on. It was almost like the room had been flooded at one point.

Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient is the only way to describe this hotel.

Beautiful room and a very low cost

Candlewood Suites is a great place to stay, whether for a few days or a week. The convenience of an efficiency suite, and having the ability to fix your own meals, combined with great service and a reasonable rates makes Candlewood Suites the logical choice when staying in Somerset, NJ.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff was very attentive, and efficent. All the rooms have full kitchens, We especially like the combination breakfast bar, computer work area, Even a manager's computer chair and recliner in the living area. We were very comfortable in this room. If you are looking for a longer stay, they also supply free washers and […] dryers for guests use, as well as some exercise equiptment. The towels were also the best I ever saw in a hotel. The bed was very comfortable. Will definately stay here when I am in the area again. Mehr

we loved this hotel the only thing is the internet connection was very very slow.

they gave me a room for smokers which smell terrible ,plus 9pm we the toilet was over flooded and there's no one to talk to in the entire hotel or over the phone , we had to leave 10 hrs before becuse we had left with no bathroom,horrible experience and ....on the pics of the room online we saw 2 king size bed ,we got a romm with only one

First time visiting this hotel and was very impress. Hotel was able to check me in earlier than expected. Staff extremely courteous. Apart from it being a little distant, I would definately recommend and visit again...

My only complaint about the Candlewood Suites was the carpet in the hallway seemed pretty old and worn, and the location was a little tricky to get back to after you left because of the highway ramp system there. Otherwise, it was great. We rented a Queen with an efficiency kitchen. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and had everything we needed. […] The towels were luxurious, btw! overall for the price nice hotel. i just have problems when something is advertised and not provided. Excercise facility was advertised but in reality the excercise room all the equipment was outdated, not well maintained or non-working. also the staff was not knowledgable about how to work the excercise machines. i pick hotels based on whether or not […] there are excercise facilities. so i was very disappointed Mehr

Excellent value! Hotel is somewhat isolated with no close restaurants but overall stay was perfect for us!

this hotel is sooooo nice, the people are very friendly, the bathroom is large and well stocked with towels and other toiletry needs. The beds were super comfy, A/C was nice and cold, the kitchen had all the necessary cooking utensils, plates and silverware. There is a complimentary laundry room on the first floor along with the "Candlewood Cupboard" […] which stocks a variety of foods,drinks, and other items one may need at a hotel, you do have to pay for them on the honor system, theres a slot at the end of the counter into which you drop your payment. We stayed here on our way to the airport and were pleasantly surpised with the size of our suite for the price we paid. Not only were the rooms nice, but snacks were available downstairs for a reasonable price and we did laundry for free! The only problem with the location was the main roads were very confusing. You could go one direction, but there […] was nowhere to turn around. We had to find an alternate route back to the hotel. Mehr

Obviously not a 5 star hotel, but its a great place and I definitely got more than I expected. Beds are comfortable- I slept better there than I do at home. Bathrooms are spotless and clean. Towels aren't super soft, but not sandpaper either. The kitchenette was nice to have. The downsides, bring your own coffee!! Theirs is terrible. Really terrible. […] But there are two coffee shops right nearby, just make sure you ask where they are the night before, because the front desk isn't open early in the morning. I had to change rooms actually, because mine was located across from the fitness center and laundry room (which turned into a hangout place for a bunch of noisy kids), plus the elevator door and front lobby were right there as well. After one night of it, I had to ask for a quieter room down the hall. They've probably had the same complaint 100x, because before I even said my room number, he knew it. The front desk staff were nice people. I'd definitely stay there again if I'm ever in the area. Mehr

Angelo (the operations manager) let us check in early and went far, far out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our computer needed some assistance to work on the internet there and he took care of it for us. Outstanding hotel overall, free laundry and comfy beds. This hotel is close to Rutgers. The room was clean and comfortable. You cant beat the place for the price.

Was not impressed with the Candlewood Suites. My Internet was not working and I needed a replacement modem. Uncomfortable bed with no pillow cases. No free breakfast.

Cannot say enough about this hotel...Well worth the money..I ended up staying an extra night...

This is a long term stay hotel. Maid service is only once a week. If you want clean towels you have to bring them down to the desk and they will exchange them there. It came with a full kitchen which was very handy.

Hotels.com described the reserved room as having two beds, but Candlewood said they only had single bed standard rooms. Fortunately, they gave us an unfoldable bed at no cost to cover the mistake.

Really really nice - well worth it

From the time of arrival to departure, the stay was awesome! The price was excellent and the staff was beyond nice!
