Everything was clean and the room was well laid out. The Gym was convenient and the equipment was in good condition.

I enjoyed my stay and the loved the atmosphere of all the employess .I will be back again thanks for everything.

I couch this review with the understanding that I did not give the hotel an opportunity to address my issues. It was late, I was tired and I assumed I would be able to deal with the multiple annoyances. I am sure that most issues might have been remedied. The room itself was comfortable. The hotel is undergoing renovation, so many things were fine. […] The room was clean & the bed was comfortable. I could hear a lot of road noise. I know that this is out of the control of the hotel. However, along with the other issues, I got a horrible night sleep. There was a flag right outside my room and I could hear the flapping of the flag & the clacking of the hoisting rope against the pole all night. Also, the renovation was not complete & there was an old refrigerator in my room. The compressor was very loud and came on about every 45 minutes. If the wind died down & the sound of the flag stopped & I actually fell back sleep, I was soon awakened by the fridge. Moving to a room farther away from the road or the flag, or having them remove the refrigerator would have probably made a big difference. Mehr

Room had an excellent layout, it was roomy enough(even with all the furnishings) for me to walk around in room comfortably following outpatient surgery so I didn't have to limp around the halls or in the gym and get awkward stares. I love how there was a kitchenette in the room and the size of the bathroom was great too. Bed was comfy, had multiple […] pillows which was a plus, I had brought extras to prop myself on but didn't end up needing them! All the extras through the hotel my husband said were great, we didn't really make use of them ourselves much because he had to stay with me and i wasn't in great condition but he checked it all out just for future reference. I must compliment the staff for their kindness and how personable the check-in staff was and that they went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable short as it was. Hotel was clean, didn't have any sort of musty smells in room which says they keep it clean and it gets regular use to be cleaned i suppose. The kitchenette was clean, no smells left over in the fridge which is a frequent problem at other hotel chains we've stayed in, I honestly couldn't say a single bad thing about it, nor could my husband and believe me, he would if there was one, he is very particular! We will definitely be looking for this chain wherever our next trip! Oh another plus, very close to all the shopping but just far enough from the busy shopping areas to be calm, not noisy etc... We have family and friend in Birmingham and anytime we are there we book the Candlewood Suites on Corporate Ridge Drive. It is convenient to shopping and restaurants and easy to get to. The manager always had our room ready and checkout is just a matter of dropping the key in a box. The rooms are large and the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom are well […] equipped and roomy. I like the homey feel of the suite. The noise is minimal and you feel like you have escaped from the rest of the world. Mehr

Room was as expected. It was cool and comfortable with the air conditioner already on. Bed was great. Soap under the sink for the dishes. Bathroom was clean with decent towels and soap/shampoo. My only complaint was with the sattelite cable. It went out during mild to medium rain. I needed a weather report for our return trip home!

I was super impressed with this hotel. Great staff, inside entrance, kitchen, huge bathroom, all utensils, coffee supplied in room, cold air, FREE laundry room...I could go on and on!! Will definately stay here again!!

I would tell anybody that's going to be in this area to stay at Candlewood! It was nice, bed was comfortable, plenty of room, if I was staying longer I would have bought food and cooked! The gym and new equipment! The only thing is there was no continental breakfast but you could buy breakfast for cheaper than you could pay more money for a place that […] had breakfast! for the money i was very impressed and it was clean, close to nice shopping and very nice area

The room looked very clean and was nice. It was bigger than I thought it would be and I was glad that it provided pots and a skillet with a top. As well as other kitchen tools and utensils. Only complaint is the ice maker's noise being too loud for me at night so I had to turn it off and the heating/AC unit being under the curtains so when you close […] them fully, it blows air under part of the curtain. This hotel is nice...and for the price I loved it more!! This hotel does offer free Wifi, just ask the front desk for the code. Highly recommended. Very clean and staff is friendly!!

Pleasantly surprised. Comfort and affordable. I would stay again.

My hotel stay was three days and not once did room service clean the room. enough said!

stayed here enroute to the Tennessee Bama game and it was everything and more for a one night stay. easy late check in procedure and very nice for the money. Great location also.

Hotel was clean and good deal for the money. Liked the fact that room had kitchen and seating area. Bed ok fairly comfortable.

Only problem I had was internet sevice. After trying a new cable brought to my room, and still being unable to log on to the internet, I asked to switch rooms and was granted permission to do so immediately. Excellent quality and value for the money.

The late check in procedure was terrible! They offer a late check in, but the front desk clerk was no where to be found. After calling and waiting for an hour she finally answered the phone. She stated there was no room to leave our key outside in a safe with the other late arrivals. She would not take responsibility for the problem and made me feel […] as if it were my fault they screwed up. The manager the next morning was nice and allowed us to check out 1 hour later considering our problem earlier that morning. Mehr

What hotel doesn't offer wireless these days? The ethernet connection was troublesome, too. Room was nice but won't stay again due to lack of wireless.

Nice, clean, and great bargain for the money. The kitchenette was useful. My only complaint is that there was no wireless internet and we could not get out computer to connect with the dial up (maybe our fault but the instructions were not clear at all).

we had a tiny bit of trouble finding the hotel at first, because it's not directly on hwy. 280, but we called the hotel and the recording gave us exact and excellent directions. the staff was very friendly, and i liked the little guest amenities store...it was nice. when we got into our room it was a little warm, so we called the front desk and they […] explained that they have an energy saving a/c system...when we are present in the room, the a/c will run...when we leave, it turns off. therefore, the room may get warm (or cold in winter) when you're gone for a while, but it doesn't take long for the temperature to adjust once you re-enter. our room smelled a little funny and it was labeled a non-smoking room, but had an ashtray in it...??? overall we had a great stay for the money! I was blown away from the room and its qualities! Everything, especially the staff were outstanding. When I return next month, THIS WILL BE MY HOTEL OF CHOICE!!!

This hotel is really nice, although it is a little farther off the interstate than I prefer, for the price it was worth the extra distance. The room was clean with plenty of space for moving around. (Queen Bed w kitchenett)

Went here for a night getaway with my boyfriend for my 21st birthday. only a couple of miles from the interstate, very very clean. in a buisness part of town so the neighborhood is quiet. did have to ask for extra pillow but they were happy to give it. had both dvd and vhs player, we brought our own movies but you could check movies out of their library […] too! We can't wait to go back! Mehr

I loved this place, it's new, in a quiet neighborhood, but it is close to all the shopping, food, there is a wal-mart across from the street, a bit far from the downtown's, but it's not big deal for me.
